Bodrum has everything you could want in terms of history, fun, culture, and food. The city is on the beautiful Turkish coast near the Aegean Sea. It is surrounded by turquoise waters and beautiful beaches, making it a great place to relax in the sun and see some of the city's great sights. Number 10. Mausoleum of Halicarnassus
The Mausoleum was once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, but now all that is left of it are its ruins. It was destroyed by a number of earthquakes over the years. The tomb was built for King Mausolus, and it was said to have been as tall as 46 meters. It was known for its beauty and impressive architecture because of its beautiful friezes. In addition to the earthquakes, many of the old blocks were taken away by the Knights of St. John to help build Bodrum Castle.
Number 9. Boat Trip
One of the most popular things for tourists to do in Bodrum is to take a boat tour of Turkey's beautiful coves, bays, and beaches. There are a lot of great tour companies in the city, and cruises are a great way to see more of the coast while enjoying life on a boat. On the trips, you always stop to scuba gear in crystal clear waters that are clean and clear, visit the hot springs on Black Island, and look at the beautiful Turkish coast.
Number 8. Yahsi Beach
Yahsi has something for everyone to enjoy. It has a long sandy beach, beautiful water, and a lot of bars, restaurants, and shops. Relaxing on the beach is a great way to spend the day, but it can get crowded and is mostly for tourists. The beach is close to a lot of places to eat, so you can eat one minute and then jump back into the warm water of the Aegean the next.
Number 7. Bardakci Beach
Bardakci is one of the most beautiful beaches in Bodrum. It's close to the city centre and a great place to relax and soak up the sun after a busy morning of sightseeing. The beach is in a beautiful little cove with palm trees and a great view of the clear water. Bardakci is very built up because it is a resort beach. As a result, there are more than enough things to do for tourists.
Number 6. Windmills in Bodrum
The old windmills are on top of a hill with a view of Bodrum, Gumbet, and even the Greek island of koscielny. Some of them are in good shape, while others look like they've been through a lot. Their whitewashed walls shine in the sun and stand out against the blue sky above and the sun-bleached grass around them. The windmills themselves aren't much to look at, but the view from the top of the hill is breathtaking and more than makes up for the climb.
Number 5. Zeki Muren Arts Museum
The arts museum is named after Zeki Muren, a musician and actor. This is the last place Zeki Muren lived before he died, and it is a wonderful place. Fans of this famous Turkish singer will love this collection of interesting things about his life and career.

Milas-Bodrum airport (more commonly known simply as Bodrum Airport) is situated in Turkey, near the towns of Bodrum and Milas. It's on a peninsula that sticks out into the water, with a Greek island nearby. The airport is big enough for international flights, and has a new terminal. The old terminal is used for domestic flights. People who travel there come from many countries in Europe and Asia, specially during the peak summer tourism months. Milas-Bodrum Airport (IATA: BJV, ICAO: LTFE) is on the tip of a peninsula in Turkey. The Greek island of Kos is nearby. It's a popular tourist destination. The airport is 16 km from Milas, and 36 km from Bodrum. A new international terminal was built in 2000. The old terminal is close by, and it's a 15 minute walk to get to it. The airports handle about 2.5 million passengers per year, and they're busiest during the summer when many charter flights arrive from Europe.

We went to Milas, Ören, which is our favorite place in Turkey.This time we carried our folding bicycles.
We toured around the Ören beach road and and the back streets.
I felt it is very nice to do cycling in front of the beautiful beach houses, farms, and beaches.

Bodrum'a giderken hep içinden geçilip gidilen Milas'da bir mola vermeye ve antik dönemin bu önemli kentini görmeye ne dersiniz?
Milas kent merkezi, antik kalıntıları, tarihi Milas evleri, düzgün kent yerleşimi ile güzel bir ilçe. Yakın çevresi de tarihi zenginliklerle çevrili. Tarihte 27 irili ufaklı kent kurulmuş.
Milas'ın 19 yy. evleri yanında halıları da dünyaca ünlü.
Milas gezisine Hisarbaşı mahallesinde, Hisarbaşı tepesinin doğusunda bir podyum üzerine inşa edilmiş Zeus Karios Tapınağı ile başlamalı. Tapınağın Korint başlıklı tek sütunu ayaktadır.
Kentin eski surlarından bugüne ulaşan tek kalıntı, yörede Baltalı Kapı olarak bilinen kapı kemeridir. Kapı MÖ 1. yüzyıla tarihleniyor. Kemerinin kilit taşı üzerindeki çift yüzlü balta motifinden dolayı yörede Baltalı Kapı olarak anılıyor.
Gümüşkesen Anıtı MS. 2. yy'da yapılmış ve iyi korunmuş mezar anıtıdır. Bodrum'daki Mausoleion'un daha küçük bir örneğidir. Sodra Dağı eteğinde Gümüşlük semtindeki mezar anıtı yüksek bir kaide ve basamaklı bir çatıdan oluşmaktadır.
Milas'ın doğusundaki ovada uzanan iki katlı su kemerleri erken Bizans dönemine ait. Kemerlerin inşaatında antik dönem mimari parçalar da kullanılmış.
Kent merkezindeki Firuz Ağa Camii, Menteşoğulları döneminden kalan en önemli eserdir.
