Top 10 Dangerous European Cities to Visit.

Do you want to travel to Europe?
Maybe buy some real estate in Europe?

If you said yes, remember that NOT every city in Europe is like a visit to Paris with a super model. Sometimes, despite all the history and amazing architecture, some cities in Europe should be avoided. Europe is often considered the best continent to visit. But, not all cities should be on your itinerary.

10 Best Mountain Towns in The United States

10 Best Mountain Towns in The United States

I've been asked many times to make a list of the best mountain towns.
These are some of the best I have ever visited. Let me know in the comment section which ones you liked or is there some you think should be on the list?

If you enjoy these videos I would love to hear about it. Most of these videos are made to help people who are thinking about relocating, looking for real estate, or just wanting to learn about the United States. We look at the best and worst cities, states, towns, and neighborhoods in the United States. But, most of the time focus on the negative side of locations. If you only want some happy positive information about a city, town, or state, I would suggest looking up local mortgage and real estate companies or maybe the locations website. They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine, rainbows and a bunch of smoke up your skirt. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, bail bondsmen, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will. And I will try and make it entertaining.

BRIGG: North Lincolnshire Parish #52 of 56

NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE PARISH #52: BRIGG

Welcome to Brigg - a market town which lies at the junction of the River Ancholme and East to West transport routes across northern Lincolnshire.

Brigg used to be an important local town's, and used to be referred to by its full name Glanford Brigg. Officially, that still is its name, but these days everyone knows it as Brigg

The origin of the town’s name is somewhat unclear. There are theories about the “Glan” part of the name, but ford refers to an actual ford across the River Ancholme.

When a bridge was built over the river, it became Glanford Bridge. Over time that became Glanford Brigg and eventually Glanford was dropped.

Brigg originally sat at the meeting point of four parishes - Broughton, Kettleby, Scawby and Wrawby, although it lay mainly in Wrawby and was officially regarded as part of that village.

Even today, Wrawby and Brigg are inextricably linked. The town was substantially improved and rebuilt in the late 1700s and early 1800s, thanks to the Elwes family, the largest landowners

For centuries, Brigg was a small fishing hamlet. It grew quickly in the 19th century and was soon a thriving inland port, dealing with thousands of ships per year

There’s a lot here, so let’s get walking and see what we can find!

Best Camper Van Site late Winter UK? Filey Brigg North Yorkshire.

Is Filey Brigg the best late winter camper van site in the UK. We took a trip to the Filey Brigg campsite in North Yorkshire and walked Filey Brigg. If you want to know if it’s for you, watch our video.

VAN GEAR

We use an EcoFlow Delta Max 2 with solar panels for our electricity on the road. We never have to plug into campsite electricity supplies during the summer months. You can find them here

We use these lights in the van - they are USB powered, last ages on a charge and they are detachable so you can take them to the toilet block at night time.

This is our trusty diesel heater which we've had zero issues with - it is very warm and extremely economical. We upgraded some of the parts which can be found here -

Fuel line
Exhaust
Turret
Drill bit for Turret fitting
Hole Saw for Turret fitting
Heat Proof Sealant

Claire uses the heater in combination with this oversized hoodie which keeps her warm even in the Alps in winter

Our water tap is USB powered, lasts ages and doesn't let us down

Our sink is just a sink but works well

We use 2 Jerry Cans for fresh and waste water

These are our blackout curtains that are light weight and block the light brilliantly

Our windows have this stuff across them - we keep them closed with these press studs -

This handy humidity and temperature monitor is good for keeping an eye on the interior

These are hands down the best travel towels. They are small to pack and work like magic at drying us off

When we cook in the van we use our beloved Ridge Monkey which can be found here and my old Trangia Stove which is bullet proof. They can be found here

We use an iPad for navigation which is awesome. We mount this over our existing radio with these mounts - they are really good and we haven't had any accidents.

The van is insulated with this insulation - Claire is usually cold in the house but finds that she is always warm in the van.

We used this for sound deadening the van which has made it so much quieter on the road

CAMERA GEAR

Our footage is shot on a GoPro which we highly recommend for travel as they fit into your pocket and your footage is stabilised. These are well worth having and are way better than your phone camera. You can find these here - because we use external microphones we use a media mod that allows this. You can find this here

You may notice that we have really good low-light footage in our recent videos. This has been made possible with the Sony ZV-E10 camera. It's a vlogging camera with a swing-out screen and gives excellent quality images without being too big and heavy. You can find these here and the lens that we use here - the lens is extremely important for low light.

One of the problems with the Sony camera is it is stabilised as well as the GoPro so we use this gimbal when out to smooth out the shots.

We use a lot of batteries when out and about so we have added these extra batteries with chargers to our collection

This is our tripod which is great as it doubles as a monopod - it's lightweight and easy to carry around.

I love our camera bag, it's easy to arrange things how you want to with individual compartments, it's got a waterproof cover and you can strap the tripod to it

We use Comica C3 wireless microphones so that you can all hear us clearly. They are a budget mic but really good for capturing dialogue as we are out and about. You can find these here

These memory cards work really well for our 4K footage

4K A Walk To Filey Brigg - North Yorkshire.

Filey Brigg is a long low headland jutting far out into Filey Bay North Yorkshire.
Its steep cliffs are 65ft high and consist of a variety of material, from pure sandstone to pure limestone. The landward end of the peninsula of Filey Brigg is known as Carr Naze, whilst the long neck of rock at the seaward end is called the Brigg.

BROUGHTON: North Lincolnshire Parish #46 of 56

NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE PARISH #46: BROUGHTON

Broughton is a small North Lincolnshire town situated on Ermine Street, approximately 2 miles Northwest of the larger town of Brigg.

The hamlets of Wressle and Castlethorpe lie within its boundaries, as does the Water’s Edge area of Scawby Brook alongside the New River Ancholme

Broughton is a common name in England with several origins. The Lincolnshire name comes from Old English word “beorg” and means farmstead by a hill or mound.

The mound in this case here may have been the site of the Roman station Pretorium from about 400 AD. In the Domesday Book of 1086, the name appears as Bertone.

In more modern times, Broughton’s population would grow thanks to two industrial reasons – these were the proximity of Scunthorpe’s Steelworks and Brigg, which was a major centre for shipping

Broughton’s population currently stands at almost 6,000, because its kept growing ever since. It’s ideally situated close to the M180 which makes it a desirable place for commuters to live

In essence, it feels less like a town and more like a large village. Though considered by many to be a village, it became a town in 1974, although it still has a village hall.

Let’s get walking and see what delights Broughton can bring us!

Motorhome Trip To Filey and Flamborough

Motorhome Trip To Filey and Flamborough : Seals and Sunshine in Yorkshire

We head to the Yorkshire Coast in the motorhome during the hottest weather we have had this year. Arriving at Filey Brigg Country Park, we stay at the caravan site there on sitch 3. This site cost us £22 a night with electric. We explored Filey, a coastal town which you can walk to from the site. There are several fish and chip shops but we tried CJ’s which Karina gave a 7/10 as the fish was good but the chips were very brown and soggy.
From Filey we ehaded to Flamorough Head, you can park your motorhome in the car park there if you go early before it gets too busy. Walking out on to the headland, the scenery was spectacular. We couldnt believe it when we saw seals in the sea…lots of seals. There were also two puffins on the cliff face. This place is absolutely worth a visit.

We stayed here

Filey Brigg Country Park

A caravan weekend at Filey Brigg Country Park

BIGBY: West Lindsey Parish #48 of 128

Situated about 10 miles South of the Humber Bridge, and 4 miles East of the town of Brigg sharing an administrative border with North Lincolnshire is this place. The hamlets of Kettleby and Kettleby Thorpe lie within the parish, although Somerby which is actually closer to the main village does not. You can quite easily walk to Somerby from here.

The village lies in the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and boy over these next few episodes you’ll see why it is. There’s a board about the wolds here. A viking settlement, the name comes from the Old Norse personal name “Bekki”, and the word “býr”, meaning settlement or farmstead. Thus, this is Bekki’s farmstead.

This is one of four Thankful Villages in Lincolnshire. There’s a term we’ve met before in both Edenthorpe and Wigsley. To remind you, it means the village lost no men in the First World War. Despite that, there is a war memorial in the churchyard in remembrance of a local man and his comrade shot down during the Second World War

Pingley Farm, or Camp 81, was the site of a WWII POW which was purpose-built to house 750 low-risk Italian prisoners. The camp has been demolished as of January 2009, and the site redeveloped as housing. It’s right next to Brigg Garden Centre, which also falls within the boundaries. There’s plenty more too, including a mention or two of Sir Robert Tyrwhit

This is all in a brand new area of West Lindsey to the channel. Welcome to BIGBY
