What to See and Do in Taif, Saudi Arabia: Cable Car, Toboggan, Souk, Dates, Arruddaf Park & Baboons
In this video of Living the Jo life, we visit Taif, Saudi Arabia’s Summer Capital, named so due to its high elevation and lower temperatures. We caught the Al Hada Cable Car, also called the Telefric, which drops from about 1965 m above sea level now to 880 m elevation over a 4 km stretch and leads to the Al Kar Tourist Village, where you will find a water park and activities such as a toboggan ride. We went for an afternoon drive to Jabal Dakka in the Ash Shafa area, which is located at over 2,500 m elevation and is surrounded my green vegetation and beautiful mountainous views. At the top of the mountain, we stopped for a coffee break at the “House of Roses Resort”, where we enjoyed the cool temperatures and gorgeous views from their terrace. After checking in at our hotel, we went into Taif city, where we took in the magical atmosphere of the Gazzaz Souk. After enjoying some dates and some Arabic coffee at a lovely café, we came across some Saudi National Day celebrations. The celebrations certainly continued at Arruddaf Park, which is a lively park with entertainment, music, performances, markets, food stalls and much more. We had a fantastic time in Taif, and we can highly recommend a weekend away to Saudi Arabia’s summer capital to escape the heat and have a fun time.

The route of the cable car begins from the highest Jabal al Hada from the Ramada Al Hada Hotel and leads down through the old pedestrian road towards al Kar, a tourist village which is situated at the bottom of the Karakoram Mountain Range. The journey from the top of the hill to the valley by cable car is about 20 minutes.

Thrilling Cable Car/ Teleferic Ride in Al Hada, Taif, Saudi Arabia
Al Hada is a mountainous region adjacent to Taif, it has got many good 05 star hotels & one of them is Ramada Hotel.
The main attraction of Ramada Hotel is the cable car ride from the hotel to the water park.
Ride starts from the hotel to a steep decline towards the Alkur water park which takes around 15 minutes to reach.
It was a very thrilling experience & is a must for someone who has not experienced it before.
There was some air while we were going down which makes the car shakes a bit which was bit scary but also thrilling at the same time.
In the starting you will feel that it is not a very deep but it goes deeper & deeper as it ascends.
We loved & cherished it thoroughly & look forward to experience it again in future.

We are enjoying the amazing experience from jeddah to taif Road trip, taif zoo,taif season,taif umrah,taif king abdullah garden,taif water park but due to memory crept we are losing all data please adjust whatever I have.Taif road trip is the amazing experience we are enjoying to see the mountain, zig-zag road, Hill moat and also see Baboon monkey enjoying travel and fooding the food test is very good some restaurant give very expensive food but some give very cheap please check another restaurant if you feel the food is expensive and weather is cool from jeddah .taif zoo also good not more animal to see but children are very enjoying to go there if you have children please go there.Taif season is amazing to experience many horses and camel show are running there ,Taif season mainly expose the traditional culture like kuwait,qatar,oman,soudi,yemen,almost most of gulf country culture showing there Jeddah to taif road trip (travel and fooding )
