Point o' Woods Fire Island NY 🔥🏖 walking tour from the Great South Bay New York USA 2021 4K video
Point O' Woods is a hamlet that consists of a private vacation retreat on Fire Island, New York, in Suffolk County. Although it resembles a village or small town, with services such as a ferry port, a general store, church and fire department, the private community is open exclusively to members and their guests, who are the only persons allowed in through the hamlet's gate, or allowed to use the private ferry that runs to Point O' Woods from Bay Shore on Long Island.
Point O Woods feels like another century, and residents here guard their privacy. This stunning community borders Ocean Bay Park on the west and a stretch of open National Seashore to the east. Ferries leave from Bay Shore

Hurricane Sandy
Hurricane Sandy (unofficially referred to as Superstorm Sandy) was the deadliest, the most destructive, and the strongest hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. The storm inflicted nearly $70 billion (2012 USD) in damage. Sandy was a Category 3 storm at its peak intensity when it made landfall in Cuba. While it was a Category 2 hurricane off the coast of the Northeastern United States, the storm became the largest Atlantic hurricane on record as measured by diameter, with tropical-storm-force winds spanning 1,150 miles (1,850 km).
Hurricane Sandy was referred to as “Superstore Sandy because it had lost some of the traits needed to call it a hurricane. Sandy developed as an ordinary hurricane in the Caribbean, but as it moved up the East Coast and encountered cooler air and water, it began to loose its tropical characteristics. Hurricane Sandy was no longer a hurricane when it made land fall on Fire Island which is why it is also called Superstorm Sandy. The October 2012 storm generated the highest storm tide ever recorded in New York, reaching to nearly 14 feet in height, about 9 feet of which was from storm surge.

Ocean Bay Park Fire Island NY 🔥🏖 walking tour vegetation plants along Great South Bay New York USA
Ocean Bay Park, AKA “The Park” is a popular destination for Long Islanders to come for the day and play. Fire Islanders join them to have a few beers and dance to live music at Flynn’s or Schooners. The mood here is relaxed and let it be. The town is diverse, inclusive and just a little quirky in a very nice way. Day Trippers and residents get along just fine. This is a “yes” kind of town. Ferries leave from Bay Shore.
Ocean Bay Park is a hamlet in the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County, New York, United States. It is located on Fire Island, a barrier island separated from the southern side of Long Island by the Great South Bay. To reach Ocean Bay Park, one must take a ferry or water taxi from Bay Shore.
Housing includes group houses and family homes. Nightlife and full-service restaurants include Flynn's (which also has a 50-boat marina) and the Schooner Inn.
Ocean Bay Park was once filled with college and recently graduated young people, but has since shifted to a more family friendly community. The community has always been home to many somewhat older affluent home owners who enjoy the laid back beauty of Fire Island with family and friends.
The residents of Ocean Bay Park have a history of being on the forefront of social change. On September 2, 1967 Dr. Martin Luther King was the guest of honor at a cocktail party held by Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Abbott as a fundraiser for his work. Earlier that day Dr. King spoke about community, the war in Vietnam, anti-Semitism and the need for a third political party. 1,500 residents attended that rally in Seaview.

The best bourbon whiskey in the world? Buffalo Trace Distillery Tour
So stoked everyone loves Buffalo Trace (and the vid) and yes, I did mispronounce Blanton's, and yes, I did it on purpose (see below).
Lot's have been asking how they can do this tour - this was a specially designed tour by Chris Hallahan at Sazerac specifically for Marriott Hotels. While their standard tour is also amazing, they go above and beyond creating bespoke experiences for groups and corporations.
Buffalo Trace Distillery located in the heart of Kentucky can easily claim title to best bourbon whiskey distillery in the world. This is the birthplace of bourbon with a rich and colorful history that will captivate anyone. I got the unique experience to travel with Marriott Hotels for a very special tour of their century old distillery, where we got to bottle our own aged barrels, sample some of their most rare offerings, and get an inside look at one of the world's best distilling plants.
If you're wondering where Blaytons came from ... well, it's a lil trick to get people commenting on the film, which helps it get seen for the algorithm. So thank you everyone that corrected me and made this film a success.
Now have a nice glass of bourbon and enjoy your day.
Produced by Roberto Serrini @ for Marriott Hotels

Lonelyville Fire Island NY 🔥🏖 walking tour Atlantic Ocean 🌊 beach to Great South Bay New York USA
Lonelyville Fire Island NY 🔥🏖 walking tour Atlantic Ocean 🌊 beach to Great South Bay New York USA 🇺🇸
This small town begins at the east end of Fair Harbor and is only a few blocks long. There are no commercial services here and the residents seem to like it that way. There isn’t much boardwalk here, and you get to your house on the sand. If you want a peaceful retreat, this is the town for you. Ferries are from Bay Shore and shopping is in Fair Harbor
Of the islands many pocket communities, Lonelyville is one of the oldest on Fire Island.
Founded in 1905 by the South Shore Realty Company, this secluded town is characterized by its two distinct areas.
On the Western side, many original 1930’s cottages are nestled between the narrow wooden boardwalks, shaded by the lush vegetation.
Some vestiges of the buildings existing during the fishing operations of Capt. Selah Clock in the 1880’s can still be found.
On the Eastern side, homes sprouted up during the 1960’s along the more modern cement walkways. Though different in architecture, the two sides are joined by a love of privacy, relaxation, and comfortable lifestyle.
Many who reside here are long-timers, who have had homes here for generations. They share their town happily with the intrepid renters and newcomers.
There are no stores, restaurants, bars, or any of the usual amenities found in neighboring towns.
Groceries are brought from Fair Harbor or the mainland, and carried or wagonned in.
What is sacrificed in convenience is more than made up in the serenity and beauty of this special community.
Ferry service is from Bay Shore, use Dunewood ferry

4K The Adventure Park @ Night POV Super Daredevil Ling’s Point of View Long Island Wheatley Heights
Lynn goes to The Adventure Park at Night located on Long Island Wheatley Heights. See Ling’s Point of View.
The Zip Lines, Treetop Platforms, the Treetop Trails and general experience in the park makes it all worthwhile.
So proud of Lynn as she bravely darts to the front and steps out of her comfort zone, Lynn is full of excitement as she overcomes the obstacle course and absolutely loves the challenges all in the while in the dark. Her favorite? You guessed it, the zip lines, hopefully we will go back soon to complete the other tails.
Lucky, we had the foresight to bring headlights, makes the course less scary and less intimidating. The LEDs that light up the trials are not that bright and during the night can increase the challenge of the courses/trails.
The Staff were awesome in helping us put on the harness and checking to make sure we can use the safety gear properly. The double latches to the lifeline really makes you feel secure and that you will not fall. And always remember your safety training while at the treetops.
It’s a totally different experience going at night and with the relative inexperience of the group, we only had time to complete green trail.

Harbor Hill, Nassau County, NY High Point, Panoramic View
Harbor Hill at an elevation of 348 ft is the highest peak of Nassau county. Based on the map coordinates and elevation maps, the summit is a mount at a location where 5 backyards from houses on Ash Dr and Heather Dr converge. This location is cover in trees, so it's not easily visible. The easiest way to see the summit may be at the intersection of Ash Dr and Lufberry Dr right down the property lines of 65 Ash Dr and 75 Ash Dr. Others report the summit at different locations along Ash Dr based on visual calculations. The resident of 65 Ash Dr indicated that his house may be the highest point. In any event, somewhere around Ash Dr is where the high point is.
The video starts looking down the property lines between 65 Ash Dr and 75 Ash Dr at the mound that is conceal by trees at the intersection of Ash Dr and Lufberry Dr. My bike is leaning against the sign post for Ash Dr and Lufberry Dr intersection.
