Kennebunkport is a coastal town in southern Maine. It’s known for its beaches, including long, sandy Goose Rocks Beach and smaller Arundel Beach. The Seashore Trolley Museum displays a huge collection of streetcars. Dating to 1887, St. Ann’s Episcopal Church is a rustic stone church on grassy grounds with ocean views. The 1833 Goat Island Lighthouse sits in the harbour of quaint lobster-fishing village Cape Porpoise.

EcoAdventure in Maine - Episode 10
September 8, 2018
Exploring Acadia, Portland and Kennebunkport Maine by foot, by sea and by trolley.
We begin episode 10 in Bar Harbor, Maine, where we took a sailing cruise aboard the schooner Margaret Todd with Downeast Windjammer Cruises. Then we took a tour of Acadia National Park on an old-fashioned trolley with Oli's Trolley all the way to the summit of Cadillac Mountain.
After a detour for a photo op with the largest lobster we've ever seen, we headed to Portland, Maine (birthplace of Stephen King) for a walking tour with Beaten Path Tours that ended up by the waterfront and the fish market, where Kimberly made a new friend. In the evening, we got some excellent sandwiches and took a leisurely sunset cruise with the Portland Schooner Company.
Then on to Kennebunkport, a vacation spot of the rich and famous. And we took another boat tour with New England Eco Adventures, but this time it was not a sailboat. It was a speedboat that threw us around like a bucking bronco. We zipped past the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge to the Nubble lighthouse, and then 6 miles offshore to the Boon Lighthouse, the tallest in New England, where we were greeted by an army of seals. Then it was back to dry, steady land and more adventures.
