Termales Santa Rosa de Cabal is located in the department of Risaralda It is a public hot springs destination and very well know in the coffee triangle. It is situated 1,715 meters (5,600 Feet) above sea level. Its proximity to the Nevada de Santa Isabel allows Santa Rosa de Cabal to be the entrance of the Parque Nacional Los Nevados. Santa Rosa de Cabal was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 2011. The beauty of its landscapes and the proximity to the coffee culture have made Santa Rosa de Cabal a tourist attraction, allowing its visitors to enjoy the thermal waters, the Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados, the Parque Regional Natural Serranía del Alto Muro, among others. The access roads are both terrestrial and aerial if you arrive at the airport of Pereira. A magical destination to enjoy coffee culture and the Araucarias Festival.

Santa Rosa de Cabal, what most people don't see!
We went back to Santa Rosa de Cabal just outside of Pereira to discovered some of the many things that we missed the first time I visited, this time we didi the Tour of the Colonizers La Ruta de los Colonizadores
We started the day visiting la Postrera where we had breakfast and its a perfect place ti visit with family and friends specially if you have children as they have a kids part so they can play while you enjoy your meal and the views.
We then visited Lagos de Venecia or Venecia's Lakes which specialised in fishing and other related activities but I would say that the thing that stands the most is an Adults park so you can go back to your childhood playing in all of the attractions, I had a lot of fun.
We also heard the story of the town and how it was founded, a story that allows you to understand the strong culture and traditions that they have.
We visited a local museum run by the priest on a beautiful house that used to be a seminary, they have collected some incredible items and each of them have a great story to be told.
To finish we went to Don Julio's Restaurant to have lunch a traditional recipe with the very famous Chorizo de Santa Rosa de Cabal sausage and ended the day listening to some typical live music while we enjoyed a good coffee in the rainy afternoon.
Thanks to Asoturismo for letting us go with them and learn about this new but beautiful project that was created for the development of the region.

If you think of hot springs in Colombia, you will probably recognize one of the most famous, Termales de Santa Rosa de Cabal, but Colombia is a paradise of hot springs due to its geographical conditions.
Thanks to the number of volcanoes, there are many hot medicinal waters in Colombia that you can enjoy in different regions of the country. For example, the Coffee Triangle is the main hot springs area in Colombia, and probably has the best hot springs in Colombia.
In the Coffee Triangle there are the best thermal spas in Colombia, such as the Hotel Termales del Otoño, 30 minutes' drive from Manizales, Termales La Quinta, with an incredible offer in the middle of nature, or the Hotel Termales del Ruiz at 3,500 meters above sea level.

Santa Rosa Hot Springs - Waterfalls, Termales and Family Fun #32 - 101 days in Colombia
We spent 3 days in Santa Rosa de Cabal and one epic day at the Santa Rosa Hot Springs. We had so much fun in the mineral pools and exploring the waterfall. We had our faces painted with mud by the spa ladies. For the kids, this was one of the best stops on the trip! The Hot Springs and Waterfall in Santa Rosa were very impressive. Los Termales de Santa Rosa de Cabal son una fuente de aguas termales ubicadas a 10 km de Santa Rosa de Cabal, en Risaralda, Colombia. Son el complejo termal más concurrido de la región, así como uno de sus principales atractivos turísticos. Las aguas termales ricas en minerales son producto del influjo del sistema volcánico del parque nacional Natural Los Nevados, provenientes de aguas meteóricas que ingresan hasta lo profundo de tierra y son expulsadas hacia el exterior en esta zona, contándose con numerosos afloramientos que son aprovechadas por las infraestructuras del complejo. Brotan de la tierra a una temperatura de 70°C y bajan por las cascadas hasta las piscinas termales a 40°C.
