Te invito a recorrer este hermoso municipio cordillerano ubicado en el departamento del Quindío en Colombia.
Pijao fue el primer pueblo latinoamericano en entrar en la red mundial de ciudades sin prisa Cittaslow. Este bello pueblito se encuentra a 33,2 km de Armenia, está lleno de arquitectura colonial y también lleno de belleza natural, al costado de la población pasa el río que termina de perfeccionar el paisaje haciéndolo aún más maravilloso.

Pijao es un verdadero tesoro oculto e inexplorado del Quindío, es una pequeña población que se encuentra en la zona montañosa del Eje Cafetero, sobre la cordillera central a 1.700 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Es el único municipio de latinoamérica en formar parte de la red de «pueblos sin prisa» o Cittaslow, un modelo de desarrollo urbano sustentable en el que se promueve el turismo responsable, que afecte a pobladores ni a la naturaleza y permita a los viajeros disfrutar del encanto genuino de estos pueblos.
