VAN
The eastern part of Turkey, Kurdistan, is not a typical tourist destination, however it has much to offer. So let’s explore Van, one of the biggest cities in the east of Turkey.
In there, the main attraction, not just for tourists, but also locals, is Van Kalesi – the Van castle. Exploring this castle built in the 8th century before Christ was unique and amazing experience. The history in this place has kept its atmosphere till this day and historical landmarks were everywhere around me. Like the Xerxes the first inscription., 20 meters above the ground. This comes from the 5th-century BC and its written in Old Persian, Elamite and Babylonian. At every corner I saw new and new places, which I had to check out. Van Kalesi took me much longer to explore than I expected.
In comparison with European sights, this experience was totally different. No thousands of people, no standing lines, no fee (if you won’t go through the main gate). And mainly the sites were not reconstructed, “nogo zones” were nonpresent, no modern glass show-cases, no new plaster – the Van castle kept the atmosphere of antiquity.
I felt safe the whole time. The locals were really friendly and hospitable – I met one Turkish guy who paid everything for me – entrance fee for museum, lunch, stuff in supermarket and even took me to my hotel with his car. I spend the last moment in the castle watching the sunset, the view was spectacular and I finished the day with delicious baklava.

AKDAMAR
After Van castle, I went to see famous Akdamar Island, which is about 40 minutes by bus from the city.
The island lies in the Van lake – the biggest Turkish lake And The only way how to get there is by a ferry. If I remember right, one way is 25 tr lira. Yes, it is also possible to swim in the Van Lake. Then, there was another entrance fee was for 35 tr lira. Without that, the prices in this part of Turkey were so cheap.
The Armenian church was built more than 1 thousand years ago, and also like with the Van Castle, history is everywhere around you.

SIIRT
The final stop of my trip around Turkey was Siirt (map). This city is famous for its pistacious, great food and the nicest touristic attraction is definitely the Botan river.

Siirt Delikli Tas (4K)

Siirt Deliklitaş is both breathtaking with its view and fascinates the visitors. With a bird's-eye view of Uluçay, or Botan River, as it is known among the people, flowing beneath it with all its majesty, Taşbaşı Cave offers a unique view of exquisite beauty to the travelers who come to visit it. It is about 4 km from Siirt. Located in the southeast of Turkey and overlooking Uluçay (Botan) from a height of approximately 350 meters, this wonderful cave is a natural structure formed by carving the steep limestones in pre-Christian times. As a result of the researches carried out by scientists in the region, it is noticed that the inner wall of the cave, which was determined to be used for shelter, was excavated with hand strokes. A small window in both caves was opened to provide internal access between the caves. Right next to the cave, there is a vertically rising rock called a stepping stone; It got this name because the young people who came to visit this place jumped from one rock to another to prove their courage. The perforated stone, located right next to the large cave known as Taşbaşı, has a unique view. The pleasure of watching Uluçay, the Botan River, and the nature surrounding it, from below, is quite different.

HOW TO SPEND 48 HOURS IN ISTANBUL TURKEY | EVERYTHING you must SEE and DO while in ISTANBUL TURKEY

Have you ever traveled to a country being unsure if you would like it? Well for me that is exactly how I felt about Turkey. For some reason, the thought of traveling to Turkey made me feel uneasy and I am not sure why. But I am so glad that Cheraya pushed me to visit the beautiful country of Turkey! I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my time there. And it is experiences like this, where you have to step outside of your comfort zone to truly live.

This vlog showcases everything we did during our time in Istanbul! We spent 4 full days exploring the city and really experiencing the culture. We saw all the major sights such as the incredibly beautiful and highly anticipated Blue Mosque to the crowded Grand Bazaar and to the real gem of the Hagia Sophia! In addition to the wonderful sights, we also immersed ourselves in the Turkish culture. One of the experiences that I highly recommend is experiencing a traditional Turkish breakfast. If you want to see our breakfast experience I did a full YouTube video showing where we went and what we ate ( We had two experiences that I unfortunately did not film for various reasons. The first experience that you will not be seeing is a traditional Turkish bath, where we were pampered. This is definitely something you need to add to the list when visiting Istanbul! Another experience is a Turkish coffee fortune telling experience. We booked an airbnb experience ( where we learned all about the history of the Turkish coffee, learned the proper way to drink the coffee, actually drank coffee and then our coffee told our future. This was exactly what we never thought we needed! And I can't recommend this experience enough. If you decide to do the experience, tell Roza we sent you!

I hope you enjoyed our time in Istanbul and this vlog makes you book that trip! So what are you most excited to see the next time you are in Istanbul?

Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE because we are heading to a brand new country! You won't want to miss out on where we are heading next so go ahead and hit that subscribe button! You won't be disappointed!

Videodaki Siirt gezilecek yerler listesi

Siirt’in 4 km. güneydoğusunda bulunan ve Uluçay’a (Botan) yaklaşık 350 metre yükseklikten bakan mağara, dik kireç taşlarının milattan önceki devirlerde oyulmasıyla oluşmuştur.

4- Siirt Tillo Kale ve Seyir Cam teras
Botan Vadisi’nin güzelliklerini ayaklar altına seren Cam Terasın vadiden yüksekliği 1.100 metre. Çelik konstrüksiyondan yapılan Terasın 7 metre uzunluğu ve 5 metre genişliği bulunmakta. Teras üzerinde bulunan korkulukların boyu ise 1.30 metre.

Ziyaret esnasında Teras üzerine en fazla 30 kişinin çıkmasına izin veriliyor.

5- Veysel Karani Türbesi
Veysel Karani Türbesi: Baykan ilçesinin Ziyaret Beldesindedir Yörenin Cas denilen harcıyla yapılıp Kubbe ile örtülmüş olan türbe, 1967 yılında yıktırılarak yerine yeni bir türbe yaptırılmıştır. Veysel Karani türbesi ve külliyesi 2001 yılında Valilikçe restore edilerek modern bir görünüme kovuşturulmuştur Her yıl 16-17 Mayıs tarihlerinde Veysel Karani‘yi anma etkinlikleri düzenlenmektedir

6- Siirt Demokrasi Meydanı

The ancient town of Hasankeyf in Turkey

These photos were taken in Hasankeyf (Turkey) in 2013. With the construction of the Ilisu Dam project, some sights may no longer be there or no longer in the same location. Things may have changed. Have anyone visited Hasankeyf lately?

Ephesus, Turkey | How and When to visit Ephesus

Ephesus, Turkey
Ephesus was an ancient Greek city located in modern-day Turkey, near the city of Selçuk,Izmir. It was one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League during the Classical Greek period, and later became a major Roman city.

The Temple of Artemis, also known as the Temple of Diana, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Today, only a few ruins remain of the temple, which was destroyed by various earthquakes and invasions over the centuries.
The Library of Celsus, a grand Roman building which served as a library and a tomb for the Roman senator Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus. Today, the facade of the library has been reconstructed and is one of the most well-preserved structures in Ephesus.
The Grand Theater, a large amphitheater which could seat up to 25,000 people. The theater was used for various performances, including plays, concerts, and gladiatorial contests.
The House of the Virgin Mary, a small stone house on a hillside near Ephesus, which is believed by some to be the last residence of the Virgin Mary. It is a popular pilgrimage site for Christians and is visited by thousands of tourists each year.

Miletus, Milet or Mīlētos Ancient Greek City with an AMAZING THEATER!!. - Miletus Turkey - ECTV

Eric Clark's Travel Videos - Miletos Turkey - Ancient Greek City with an AMAZING Theater.

Miletos – said to be the birthplace of Hagia Sophia’s architect, Isidore of Miletus. These ancient ruins lie on a hill and the grid like layout became the basic layout for Roman Cities. Seljuk Turks conquered the city in the 14th Century and used Miletos as a port to trade with Venice. As the harbour dried up, the city was abandoned and today the ruins lie around 10 kilometres from the sea. The first excavations began in 1873. One artefact recovered, the ‘Market Gate of Miletos’ was transported piece by piece to Germany and reassembled. The main collection of artefacts resides in Miletos museum.

Miletus (/maɪˈliːtəs/; Greek: Μῑ́λητος, romanized: Mīlētos; Hittite transcription Millawanda or Milawata (exonyms); Latin: Miletus; Turkish: Milet) was an ancient Greek city on the western coast of Anatolia, near the mouth of the Maeander River in ancient Caria.[3][4][5] Its ruins are located near the modern village of Balat in Aydın Province, Turkey. Before the Persian invasion in the middle of the 6th century BC, Miletus was considered among the greatest and wealthiest of Greek cities.[6][7]

Evidence of first settlement at the site has been made inaccessible by the rise of sea level and deposition of sediments from the Maeander. The first available evidence is of the Neolithic. In the early and middle Bronze Age the settlement came under Minoan influence. Legend has it that an influx of Cretans occurred displacing the indigenous Leleges. The site was renamed Miletus after a place in Crete.

The Late Bronze Age, 13th century BC, saw the arrival of Luwian language speakers from south central Anatolia calling themselves the Carians. Later in that century other Greeks arrived. The city at that time rebelled against the Hittite Empire. After the fall of that empire the city was destroyed in the 12th century BC and starting about 1000 BC was resettled extensively by the Ionian Greeks. Legend offers an Ionian foundation event sponsored by a founder named Neleus from the Peloponnesus.

The Greek Dark Ages were a time of Ionian settlement and consolidation in an alliance called the Ionian League. The Archaic Period of Greece began with a sudden and brilliant flash of art and philosophy on the coast of Anatolia. In the 6th century BC, Miletus was the site of origin of the Greek philosophical (and scientific) tradition, when Thales, followed by Anaximander and Anaximenes (known collectively, to modern scholars, as the Milesian School) began to speculate about the material constitution of the world, and to propose speculative naturalistic (as opposed to traditional, supernatural) explanations for various natural phenomena.

Neolithic
The earliest available archaeological evidence indicates that the islands on which Miletus was originally placed were inhabited by a Neolithic population in 3500–3000 BC.[8] Pollen in core samples from Lake Bafa in the Latmus region inland of Miletus suggests that a lightly grazed climax forest prevailed in the Maeander valley, otherwise untenanted. Sparse Neolithic settlements were made at springs, numerous and sometimes geothermal in this karst, rift valley topography. The islands offshore were settled perhaps for their strategic significance at the mouth of the Maeander, a route inland protected by escarpments. The graziers in the valley may have belonged to them, but the location looked to the sea.

Middle Bronze Age
The prehistoric archaeology of the Early and Middle Bronze Age portrays a city heavily influenced by society and events elsewhere in the Aegean, rather than inland.

Minoan period
Beginning at about 1900 BC artifacts of the Minoan civilization acquired by trade arrived at Miletus.[8] For some centuries the location received a strong impulse from that civilization, an archaeological fact that tends to support but not necessarily confirm the founding legend—that is, a population influx, from Crete. According to Strabo:[9]

Ephorus says: Miletus was first founded and fortified above the sea by Cretans, where the Miletus of olden times is now situated, being settled by Sarpedon, who brought colonists from the Cretan Miletus and named the city after that Miletus, the place formerly being in possession of the Leleges.

The legends recounted as history by the ancient historians and geographers are perhaps the strongest; the late mythographers have nothing historically significant to relate.[10]

RACIST and RUDEST COUNTRIES in 2023&2022. | 10 Racist country in World 2023 | Better World 2023

10 racist and rudest countries in 2023 | RACIST and RUDEST COUNTRIES in 2023&2022. | 10 Racist and Rude Countries in the World | 10 racist and rudest countries in 2023 | 10 Racist and Rude Countries in the World | better world 2023

Hello guys! Hope you are doing great. Rudeness is something quite subjective, so it is hard to quantify it. That is why if you search for the ten most racist and rudest countries in the world you will not find any official data even on Wikipedia.
We will tell you about the ten racist and rudest countries in the world where people are not that friendly and local citizens do not smile that much.

10. Turkey.
First in our list is Turkey the western Asian country whose sweets treats like baklava and Turkish delights is quite popular in the world, however the country has been ranked as the 10th rudest country in the world with 2.15% of votes.
Turkish people are quite appreciated for their hospitality, friendliness and loyalty and may be the country has been misjudged due to their strong norms, for instance in turkey if you leave food on your plate, it automatically means that you did not enjoy it, and this can offend the cook or the host.

9. Italy.
The next in our list is Italy with 2.24% of votes, may be this youngest western European country got into this list because of behavioral misunderstanding as well. Italians speak a bit loudly and fast so this combination can easily put an impression that there is quarrel going on between these people.Italians act impulsively without concern for others and that is why some people believe that they have lack of etiquette and ethical values.

8. Poland.
There was a tie between Italy and Poland as they both managed to get 2.24% some people even accuse Poland as the most ignorant and racist country in whole Europe and that is why it was ranked at number 08.
Polish drivers are quite aggressive and have no respect for other drivers on the road, so if you are on Poland highway then there is a rare possibility that they will let you overtake.

7. Spain.
Spain has so much to offer to its tourists but still it manages to secure the seventh place with 3.15% votes. Spanish people are considered as most least culturally arrogant as compared to other European countries but still there are few things that can rub them in the wrong way. For instance, burping is considered rude in Spain, you are allowed to put your arm on dining table but not the elbow and most importantly never insult a Spanish cuisine as Spanish people take too much pride in their food.

6. United States of America.
US got 3.39% of votes and that is why it has been ranked at sixth position. Americans have more like a dual standard, as they are known for their generosity and vivacity when they travel the world, on the other hand when they receive tourists, they get grumpy and intolerant.

5. China.
China took the middle position in today’s list with 4.3% vote, Chinese are considered as most least hospitable hosts who do not enjoy foreigners on their land. Chinese tourists earned this reputation due to their lawless self-centered ways and disregarding the regulation of others, many people say that Chinese have the money but not the manner.

4. Germany.
Just like Americans, Germans are also flawless travelers when staying in other countries, although as a host Germany is not welcoming country and it is not that friendly with foreigners, which is why it has been ranked as the fourth rudest country with a vote of 9.93%.

3. United Kingdom.
The third on our list is UK, English people are both bad tourists as well as hosts and that is why they got 10.43% of votes. Due to their brits attitude they earned the reputation of cold and unfriendly people who are always disinterested and distant.

2. Russia.
The first runner up of today’s list is Russia with 16.56% votes, Russians got this position due to their loud and rowdy attitude. The Russians are unpopular for a various reason such as they swear too much in public, eating too much and irrationally in buffets, being disrespectful and rude to others around them.

1. France.
The first on our today’s list is France, it is interesting that a country which was renown as the most romantic country in the world for a long time is also the rudest nation on earth. Tourists who visit the land claim that French are rude by nature and do not like English speaking tourists or any other tourist who cannot speak Franc
