10 Worst towns in California. Southern Cal version
I think it is time to tackle a list I hinted at earlier this year and never got to. When I listed the worst towns in America I said I had to cut Southern California out because it had like 17 of the worst 20. When you suck that bad, you get your own list is the rule here.
A couple of things with this list. I say town but technically some are small cities. I am just cutting out the major cities like Los Angeles and San Diego proper. If I say cities in the title I will have a bunch of geography nerds jumping up my butt. I don’t like anything jumping up my butt especially geography nerds. Most of these are in the LA metro or LA county.
This is another list that has enough to make 3 videos, but we’ll start with one and see how it goes.
These are not places you want to buy real estate.

Rediscover the Ridge: Paradise Lake │ A Northern California Gem
In the foothills of Butte County, California is Paradise Lake. Only 20 miles up the Skyway from Chico, this freshwater reservoir is located at 2,500 feet elevation - home to clear skies, fresh air and snow in the wintertime. A great spot for a day trip from the Sacramento Valley, summer recreational activities are now in full swing, including biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing and picnicking.
Paradise Lake covers an area of 244 acres, is surrounded by beautiful wooded land and has a shoreline of 7.5 miles. The lake is home to a variety of wildlife species. If you time your visit right, you might see the bald eagle who calls Paradise Lake home.
Two boat launches at the north end of the lake provide paddling access and small boat (electric trolling motors only) access. The Lake supplies drinking water for the area and currently dogs and horses are prohibited, as well as swimming. Paradise Lake is closed on Wednesdays but otherwise open daily from sunrise to sunset. There is a $3 parking fee. The lot is located at Coutolenc Rd. & Lucretia Rd., Magalia CA 95954 just north of Paradise, California.

Butte City, California
Butte City is an unincorporated community in Glenn County, California. It is located on the east bank of the Sacramento River 11 miles south-east of Willows, at an elevation of 89 feet.
The first post office at Butte City was established in 1883. A cemetery is located east of town where historical residents of the area are buried. In earlier times, the town had a restaurant, a store, and a bank, but these businesses have all closed.

???????? To Paradise, California to see the Aftermath of California's Deadliest Wildfire
Being from California, we were naturally Drawn to Paradise, California after the fires that took place... So we decided to make a vlog on our visit since we figured other people were probably curious also. In November of 2018 the entire Northern California town of Paradise was almost completely destroyed by the states deadliest wildfire. Fortunately the town is rebuilding and slowly recovering.
This video was filmed in 2021.
We wanted to see it for ourselves and thought others may be curious too.
