The city of Sakarya, one of the most important cities in Turkey for its rapid growth and development, is also attention worthy for its natural beauties and cultural richness.
It is one of the paradise-like spots of the country with its sea, beaches, lakes, rivers, highlands, thermal springs along with traditional Ottoman lifestyle districts such as Taraklı and Geyve, and historical relics inherited from the Byzantine and Ottoman eras that are worth witnessing.
The Turks conquered the city of Sakarya in the 13th century. There was intensive immigration from Caucasia and the Balkans in the 18th and 19th centuries. The last massive immigration was in 1989. Thanks to the developing industry and being at a transportation crossroads, the city still receives domestic migration today. Sakarya is notable in the Marmara Region.
The city of Sakarya is surrounded with the city of Düzce in the East, Bolu in the South East, Bilecik in the South, Kocaeli in the West and the Black Sea in the North. The city of Sakarya has 16 districts which are; Adapazarı, Akyazı, Arifiye, Erenler, Ferizli, Geyve, Hendek, Karapürçek, Karasu, Kaynarca, Kocaali, Pamukova, Sapanca, Serdivan, Söğütlü and Taraklı.

Nightlife in Istanbul is outstanding. So much as Istanbul is rich in history, cultural heritage and financial capacity, a glamorous night life complements the city. Entertainment in Istanbul revolves around many of the entertainment venues that the city has to offer.
Istanbul is also considered to be the city that never sleeps. You can enjoy the city’s dining, wining, shopping, music and entertainment scene throughout the year of its variety of lively events, concerts, festivals, art exhibitions and more.
Galata Tower is one of the most popular landmarks and for many people is the main symbol of the city of Istanbul, Turkey. Built in he Medieval times, the tower is situated in the district of the city known as Karakoy. The tower is about 220 feet tall (which is close to the height of a 9-storey building) and has a base diameter close to 54 feet. For the moment of its construction is was the tallest building in the city. There is an observation deck on the top of the tower which offers amazing views to the surrounding area, the Bosphorus Strait, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, Beskitas district, Galata Bridge, the Blue Mosque, the St. Sophia, and other known landmarks of the city.
The Galata Tower is magnificent during the day and at night. If you have time, try and experience the tower in both scenarios. At night the tower is lit up, and the general ambiance of the Galata area is fantastic, especially from late spring until the end of summer.
Situated in Beyoglu, Istiklal street is almost 1.25 miles long and meant only for pedestrians. It starts at the Taksim Square and ends near the Galata Tower. The Beyoglu district was formerly known as Pera— explains why many restaurants and shops here have the word Pera in them.
You will experience many things on Istiklal Street Istanbul like cafes, restaurants, cinemas, street food, and many more. It is entirely as famous as Oxford Street in London. Ottoman-era buildings and historical monuments surround the entire area of Istiklal Avenue. The total length of Istiklal street is about 1,5 km and is a pedestrian street.

The Galata Tower (Galata Kulesi in Turkish) — called Christea Turris (the Tower of Christ in Latin) by the Genoese — is a medieval stone tower in the Galata/Karaköy quarter of Istanbul, Turkey, just to the north of the Golden Horn's junction with the Bosphorus. It is a high, cone-capped cylinder that dominates the skyline and offers a panoramic vista of Istanbul's historic peninsula and its environs.
