You have to visit a Spanish traditional food market next time you’re in Spain. Noisy, busy, full of wonderful smells and overflowing with people - they’re a feast for all the sense. I love my local market (the Mercado de Antón Martín - featured in this video). Ham, cheese, wine, olive oil, saffron, paprika, bread, meat, fruit and vegetables - these places are gastronomic wonderlands. But they’re also fabulous cultural places - every Spanish market has at least a few bars, and they’re always a fun place to hang out for a drink after you’ve finished your shopping.
So here is what I suggest. If you’re living or staying in Spain, give the supermarkets are miss (unless you need canned goods or cleaning products) and for all your fresh produce needs, head to the nearest local market. They’re the best place to stock up your apartment if you’re staying in an AirBnB or simply to grab some delicious stables for a picnic in the park. An important thing to remember is that if you want to try Spain’s incredible wines, hams and cheeses - they’ll be much cheaper in the market than in a tapas bar. And do make the perfect picnic hamper fillers.
In this video I explore the Antón Martín market, which is nearby my office (it’s where I shop after work). I hit the Jamón booth, a fabulous cheese stall, the fruit stand, an olive stand, an offal stand, a place for olive oil, paprika and saffron, as well as a chicken shop and an excellent bakery. Along the way you’ll get tips and tricks for tackling your local market on your own!

Azafrán en La Mancha y Parques Nacionales cercanos / Saffron Fields, Spain
En Octubre, a finales, es la fecha perfecta para visitar los campos de azafrán en La Mancha como Madridejos y Consuegra y muy cerca de ahí hay dos Parques Nacionales, Cabañeros y Las Tablas de Damiel. Además tambien cerca hay otro Parque Natural, Las Lagunas de Ruidera. En esta época empiezan a llegar las aves migradoras y es la Berrea de los Venados. O sea, un plan perfecto para ver muchas cosas que están relativamente cerca.

Qué ver en ALMAGRO?? 6 lugares IMPRESCINDIBLES | Un DÍA al Completo.
Si quieres aprovechar al máximo tu escapada en ALMAGRO, te propongo recorrer los rincones más significativos de este pueblo de Ciudad Real (Castilla La Mancha), entre ellos el CORRAL DE COMEDIAS o la singular PLAZA MAYOR. Te acompañaré en el recorrido con algunos datos para que pongas en contexto la historia de Almagro, sus hitos más destacados o el valor histórico-artístico de lo que vas a conocer en la ciudad.
La importancia de personajes históricos como Diego de Almagro, los banqueros más ricos del renacimiento europeo (los Fugger), los monjes caballeros de la orden de Calatrava y un amable recorrido lleno de casas blancas, calles empedradas, palacetes renacentistas y rejas de hierro forjado tras las que se esconden un sinfín de tesoros.
Almagro tiene también el corazón de candilejas y durante el mes de julio se transforma en anfitrión del Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico. Un imprescindible para viajeros culturetas.
La ciudad ha seducido a nuestro cineasta más internacional Pedro Almodóvar, que ha envuelto a sus personajes de costumbrismo manchego en al menos dos de sus películas: “La flor de mi secreto” y “Volver”.
Gastronomía, bebidas del siglo de oro, alojamiento con encanto…la ciudad te da todos los elementos para que disfrutes de una experiencia completa.
En el vídeo encontrarás varias referencias cinematográficas, en especial las referentes al teatro clásico de los siglos XVI y XVII, así como películas del director Pedro Almodóvar que se han filmado parcialmente en la ciudad.
Ideal para incluirlo en cualquier escapada para conocer lugares con encanto e historia de Castilla-La Mancha.

La Ruta de las 3 Cascadas de Anna es una de las rutas senderistas más espectaculares de la provincia de Valencia. El recorrido de 3 km tiene una duración de dos horas aproximadamente. El grado de dificultad es medio - alto pues tiene varios tramos complicados y zonas inundables resbaladizas. Recomendada para niños mayores de 6 años y personas con buena salud física. Transcurre a las orillas del Río de Anna y en ella podremos disfrutar de tres preciosos saltos de agua.

Las Tablas de Daimiel desde el aire capitulo 4
En el capitulo anterior, seguimos el curso del río Azuer desde el embalse del Puerto de Vallehermoso hasta Daimiel, donde en el comienzo de este video estamos situados. A continuación sobrevolamos el Parque Nacional de Las Tablas de Daimiel, seguiremos nuestra ruta hasta El Vicario. Este embalse es el almacenamiento artificial de las aguas del río Guadiana situado en Ciudad Real. Ahí concluye este capitulo.
El siguiente video se titulará El río guadiana capitulo 1 y dará continuidad al curso del río hasta su desembocadura en el Golfo de Cádiz.

El sur de Menorca se caracteriza por sus profundos barrancos y las calas que forman al final. Se trata de las calas de arena blanca y fina, fondos turquesa y pinos en los acantilados. Estas calas no son un mito, existen, y las encontramos en toda la costa sur de Menorca. Son lugares extraordinarios y uno de los mayores reclamos turísticos de las Baleares. En la zona sur encontramos, entre otras, Cala Mitjana, Trebalújer o Binigaus.
A veces, los barrancos no acaban en forma abrupta sinó que dan paso a grandes áreas abiertas. Entonces, en lugar de formarse pequeñas calas, encontraremos magníficas playas, como Son Bou o Sant Tomàs. En las modernas urbanizaciones turísticas, generalmente bien integradas en el paisaje, los visitantes encuentran un modelo turístico que rehuye la maisficación y las aglomeraciones. De esta manera, los turistas pueden disfrutar de la espectacularidad de los paisajes, y de un servicio turístico de máxima calidad.
Pero el sur no es sólo litoral. En la profundidad de sus barrancos, tema de numerosos cuentos y leyendas, se esconden cuevas, pozos y algunos de los hallazgos arqueológicos más relevantes en la actualidad. Sus pueblos, escrupulosamente emblanquecidos, conservan todo el encanto de la vida tradicional. En tiempos antiguos, los piratas del Mediterráneo asolaban con regularidad las costas menorquinas. Para protegerse de estos ataques, y ganar margen de maniobra, los pueblos del sur son poblaciones de interior.
Es Migjorn Gran es un pequeño pueblo muy bonito, mientras que Ferreries y Alaior son de tamaño medio y tienen mucha tradición en la elaboración de productos típicos. En el sur también encontramos un gran número de vestigios de la época talaiótica. Poblados, talaiots, basílicas y las enormes, misteriosas y fascinantes taules. Estos restos arqueológicos, junto con las tradiciones y fiestas populares, hacen que la visita adquiera un extra de enriqueciemiento cultural. Y así, en Menorca, la mágia se suma a la belleza.
The south of Menorca is characterized by its deep ravines and the coves that form at the end. It is the coves of fine white sand, turquoise bottoms and pine trees on the cliffs. Conozco muy bien este embalse, ya que he vivido varios años muy cerca. Este pantano recoge las aguas de los ríos Tiétar y Guadyerbas, y como el río, hace de límite entre las provincias de Ávila y Toledo. En sus aguas podremos observar una gran variedad de aves acuáticas, destacando las concentraciones de cigüeñas negras en el otoño y la invernada de más de 3.000 grullas cada otoño e invierno. Cormoranes, nutrias, garzas, limícolas, el martín pescador, son sólo una parte de su elevada riqueza ornitológica.
Y, además, está rodeado de dehesas de encinas, alcornoques y robles, por lo que podremos observar aún muchas más especies de aves, como rapaces, rabilargos, arrendajos y un largo etcétera.
Cualquier época del año es buena para visitar este paraíso de la fauna ibérica, con el Macizo Central de la Sierra de Gredos como telón de fondo.
Una visita imprescindible.
I know this reservoir very well, since I have lived very close for several years. This reservoir collects the waters of the Tiétar and Guadyerbas rivers, and like the river, it acts as a boundary between the provinces of Ávila and Toledo. In its waters we will be able to observe a great variety of aquatic birds, highlighting the concentrations of black storks in the fall and the wintering of more than 3,000 cranes each fall and winter. Cormorants, otters, herons, waders, the kingfisher, are just a part of its high ornithological wealth.
And, in addition, it is surrounded by meadows of holm oaks, cork oaks and oaks, so that we can observe even more species of birds, such as raptors, long-tailed jays, jays and much more.
