We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.
We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.
We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.
Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Located in a valley in central Catalonia, on the banks of the Cardoner river, Cardona is a picturesque site with an important medieval heritage.
Its most outstanding features include the walled fortress in its castle, set on a hill, and the foremost example of the Catalan Romanesque style of architecture.
The town of Cardona is also home to interesting places such as the street known as the Calle Major, the Plaça del Mercat square, and the church of Sant Miquel. It is also well worth visiting the Montaña de Sal cultural park beside the town.

Parador de Cardona
The hotel is a beautiful medieval castle with centuries of history, sitting high above Cardona's charming village. This 9th-century fortified complex also contains Minyona Tower and a splendid chapel, both of which date from the 11th century.

3 Mountain Paradors north of Barcelona - Cardona, Arties, Bielsa
We are on a 8 week trip through Morocco and Europe. We started in London, then spent two nights in Copenhagen, then did a ten day road trip through Morocco.
In the video we have just arrived in Barcelona from Casablanca. We rent a car and drive north to the Parador of Cardona. Then we drive into the Pyrenees and spend a night at the Parador of Arties and then a night at the Parador of Bielsa before heading into France.

Today, the castle of Cardona main jewel is the torre de la minyona (from the 11th century) a tower which measures 15 metres in height and 10 metres in diameter. Additionally, there is the romanesque Church of Sant Vicenç de Cardona adjacent to the fort. The fort is currently used as a parador, a state-run luxury hotel.

Siendo probablemente el castillo más importante de Cataluña, el recinto esta dividido entre los pabellones señoriales y el recinto de la canónica de San Vicente. Destacan, entre otras cosas, la Torre de la Miñona, el Patio Ducal y el Baluarte de defensa. Hoy en día el castillo alberga el Parador Nacional de Turismo Duques de Cardona y además nos permite disfrutar de una increíble panorámica sobre la ciudad de Cardona, el valle salino y la montaña de Sal de Cardona.
