09:36 FINAL THOUGHTS - THANK YOU!

Our trip starts with a 1 hour and 40-minute drive to the town of Isabela. Located on the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, Isabela is a unique town for a weekend visit or escape from the city. Isabela should be on your to-do list when visiting the island, because this town offers every activity you could possibly dream of. Isabela has perfect places to surf, snorkel, scuba dive, hike, go for a long bike ride, or just eat a fantastic meal.
20 minutes driving to the west, you will find one of the most incredible and beautiful beaches on the Island. Crash Boat Beach in Aguadilla

This paradise is ideal for snorkeling, swimming or just having a relaxing fun day on the beach with friends and family.

Restaurants we visited on our trip!

If you want to have an incredible BBQ experience, we recommend visiting Twyfords BBQ in Isabela, here you will find delicious authentic BBQ, and a spectacular view!

But if you are craving Puerto Rican Food you can visit Desecheo in Aguadilla. We had a yuca and plantain Mofongo stuffed with Chicken, Chorizo and skirt steak, all dressed with a Guava chimichurri and melted mozzarella cheese. Ahh, and the most amazing coffee crème Brulé ever.

Located on the Southwest side of the island and approximately 2 and a half hours from San Juan we found Playa Buye in Cabo Rojo. Calm turquoise waters, beautiful smooth white sand and a great ambiance makes this beach a nice place to spend the day or even a weekend, since there are some cabins where you can stay minutes from the beach.

If you are into hiking and exploring and want to wander off the beach for a second, you can walk west of the beach where you will find a fascinating trail. Guaniquilla trail is a magical path along the shore of Buyé Beach. This trail is full of birds, lizards and the soothing sound of the ocean while you hike. After about 20 minutes, You’ll get to the top of a hill where you can see las “ruinas de Guaniquilla” and also an incredible view of the Laguna Guaniquilla.

There are so many beautiful beaches to swim and dive at, especially in Culebra and Vieques, but you don’t even have to take a ferry to get to the beautiful reef we’ll show you today. It’s right on the west coast of Puerto Rico in the town of Aguadilla. In this video, we’re going on a snorkeling adventure in Playa Peña blanca and Crash boat beach. Please subscribe, so you can travel all around beautiful Puerto Rico with us

Peña Blanca has a fine sandy shoreline spotted with huge boulders and small caves that give it an enchanted pirate island kind of feel.

The water here is a vibrant turquoise blue and is crystal clear all year round. The contrast between the bright aquas of the water and the white sand makes this beach among the most beautiful in the world

The beach itself may be small, but the swimming area is immense if you have good fins and are willing to snorkel just a little bit past the shore.

Snorkeling at Crash Boat is a super fun experience. I never get tired of coming here to snorkel and free dive, because the water is always so crystal clear and there are so many adorable fish. You can jump off one of the docks into the water, and under the last pier you’ll be instantly surrounded by unbelievably friendly yellow and black fish called sergeant majors. There are also blue tangs, filefish and colorful sponges and corals. It’s a great place to practice your underwater photography!

Aguadilla is also a very convenient town to visit, because it has numerous hotels and restaurants.

At Gabi’s favorite Aguadilla restaurant, Mona, you can get the best brunch of your life

My favorite place to eat is Khalan Thai, which serves spectacular authentic curries and other gorgeous dishes!

La Chocolatería in Aguadilla:
There’s even a chocolate store that makes its own chocolate delicacies from Cacao grown right in Puerto Rico!

Aguadilla is a beautiful town that everyone should visit on their trip to Puerto Rico. Its pristine beaches are among the most beautiful in the world!

With pristine, world-class beaches that everyone should visit on their trip to Puerto Rico

At Pena Blanca, you can snorkel from the shore to see one of the most beautiful reefs in mainland Puerto Rico

At crash boat, you can enjoy local culture and more fun snorkeling

Stay tuned for our next video, where we’ll show you how to fit an Aguadilla trip into your next Puerto Rico vacation.

Best Beaches In Puerto Rico | Playa La Esperanza In Manati

Some of the most unique places in the world are on the road less traveled. Today, we’re going to show you our favorite beach in Puerto Rico, Playa la Esperanza in Manatí.

Playa la Esperanza is located about an hour west of San Juan right outside the town of Manatí. It’s actually inside of an expansive nature preserve that includes a visitor center inside an old sugar plantation.

You can even find tours and special nature activities to do in Hacienda la Esperanza on Paralanaturaleza.org. The long beach to the left of the swimming area provides a rugged contrast to the protected cove. This beach is covered in colorful smooth stones and even has patches of black sand.

TOP 5 SAFE BEACHES IN PUERTO RICO:

Puerto Rico, the island of enchantment, is a travel destination that truly has it all: pristine beaches for swimming, reefs for snorkeling, entertainment for family members of every age, mouthwatering cuisine, a fascinating culture, and every kind of adventure you could imagine.

The beaches of Guanica in the south of Puerto rico feature magnificent stands of mangrove trees. The winding shapes of the mangrove roots and plentiful wildlife make these beaches extra fun to visit.

Not only are the island’s beaches spectacular to admire, the majority of them are also safe for swimming and have clean, warm water all year long. Many of these beaches are also full of vibrant marine life and provide ample opportunities for snorkeling and diving. Playa Puerto Nuevo and Crashboat are great places to enjoy marine wildlife.

Cabo Rojo has dramatic coastal landscapes that can rival the famous cliffs of Ireland and Dover.

Visit Puerto Rico’s sister islands of Culebra and Vieques for the brightest turquoise blue waters you’ll ever see.

Puerto Rico’s natural charms aren’t just limited to the coastline. Go further inland to experience majestic mountain views and lush rainforests, like the Toro Negro forest.

Lechon, the most famous Puerto Rican food, is a whole roast pig. Puerto Ricans especially cherish the cuerito, the extra crunchy pork skin that is like bacon but a thousand times better.

One of the best places to get traditional Puerto rican food is Guavate, also known as the pork highway. You can also find traditional side dishes like sweet potato guineitos and yuca.

Along the highways, you can find amazing restaurants like Mami que hay pa comer, which makes gigantic pasteles, a typical Puerto rican dish specially popular during Christmas season.

For an elevated yet affordable Puerto Rican dining experience, visit To Share in Condado. This is my personal favorite restaurant in Puerto Rico, and the food and cocktails never disappoint. They even have vegan options.

Hijole is a great option for Mexican or Criollo food, and it’s our favorite spot for brunch and frozen margaritas.

For a juicy hamburger, check out el Hamburger in Puerta de tierra which has been popular with locals for more than 50 years.

If you’re craving Japanese food, we highly recommend Nihon Ippudo in Guaynabo. They make amazing sushi and the crunchiest orange chicken you’ll ever eat.
