Top UK Holiday Destinations For Summer 2021 In Lockdown - Top 5 Picks

A staycation doesn't mean you have to compromise on an adventure - the UK is filled with heaps of brilliant destinations. Here are the hotspots for the ultimate family break to watch in 2021!

#topUKHolidayDestinationsForSummer2021InLockdownTop5Picks #bestUKholidaydestinationforfamily #bestfamilyholidaydestinations2021uk #largefamilyholidays2021uk #bestukholidaydestinationsforyoungfamilies #FamilyPopTV #Mostpopularholidaylocationsuk

We're talking bustling seaside resorts, quiet countryside retreats and remote landscapes with hidden campsites, not to mention all of the historic sites, fun attractions and pretty botanical gardens waiting to be discovered. The pandemic means that an increasing number of Brits are opting to holiday in the UK, so to give you a helping hand we've flagged some of the great spots that are worth having on your radar. If you've got particular attractions in mind, make sure to double check their opening times as the pandemic may mean they are closed certain days or have limited capacity - and of course, local tier restrictions may apply so always double check the alert for your own local area and the destination before planning, booking or going on a trip.
We take a look at some brilliant staycation destinations below:

(00:35) Cornwall - has heaps of things to see and do with the kids, whether you're after a lazy day on the beach, thinking of exploring the Eden Project or want to spend your days exploring its breathtaking coast. Then there are the charming villages and towns, friendly locals and restaurants serving up proper British grub. Who needs Spain when you can find plenty of sunshine and golden sand beaches right here?

(03:39) Isle Of Wight - If it's an idyllic seaside break you're after, the Isle of Wight won't disappoint.
For a start it boasts plenty of child-friendly beaches with the likes of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor proving popular thanks to the calmer waters and facilities on offer. Then there are all of the activities and adventures to be had whether you go exploring Robin Hill park's green landscapes and playgrounds, pretend to be giants at the Godshill Model Village, or get up close to donkeys at the local sanctuary.

(06:11) Dorset - Home to the Jurassic Coast, Dorset is an ideal destination for families who prefer to go exploring the Great Outdoors. You'll find heaps of fascinating trails (including easier ones for smaller children), as well as breathtaking views and highlights such as Lulworth Cove. Another coastal highlight is the eye-catching limestone Durdle Door, with the added bonus that it's right by a popular beach if you're visiting in the summer and want to make the most of the sunshine.

(08:32) The Lake District - Not only do the landscapes here look like the stuff out of storybooks, but they're home to countless adventures whether you've got small children or trying to keep the teenagers entertained. Lakes like Ullswater are a must for thrill-seekers thanks to the wide array of water sports on offer, while the countless walking trails are ideal for hikes before heading back to the charming towns and villages with friendly locals and cosy accommodation.

(10:31) Blackpool - If you're after a cheap and cheerful weekend away by the seaside, Blackpool could be just the place. For a start there's Blackpool Pleasure Beach where you'll find thrilling rollercoasters for teens and adults as well as a Nickelodeon themed land for smaller children, while the Central Pier never fails to draw in visitors looking for fun arcade games and seaside views.
British weather letting you down? Head to Blackpool Tower where you can take in the views, discover the elegant Ballroom, or give yourself a scare at the Blackpool Dungeons. Meanwhile, celebrity fans might want to head to Madame Tussaud's in search of their favourite stars!

Top 10 UK Holiday Destinations - The Best Places to Staycation in 2021

With plenty of gorgeous locations just a mere drive or train journey away, there’s something for everyone, whether it’s UK city breaks or meandering through the beautiful Cotswolds villages. Whether you’ve had your big tropical holiday cancelled or you just want to get away and explore when the current lockdown ends, we want to help you plan the very best UK staycation this year with the help of our UK holiday voucher codes.

Check out our blog post for more!

To help you decide, we’ve put together our list of the top 10 places to visit in the UK, not just this summer, but any time of the year:

Cornwall
The Lake District
London
Edinburgh
South Wales
Bath
Nottingham
Norwich
Norfolk
Isle of Wight

You can’t beat a trip to the beach when it comes to an England staycation. For those who love to be beside the seaside, there’s the picturesque landscapes of Cornwall, famous for wild moorlands and glorious sandy beaches, or why not pay a trip to Norfolk which currently holds the title for the best beaches in England! Not only that, but you can explore the charming towns and villages the county has to offer. Of course when it comes to beach holidays, head over to the UK’s sunniest beach on the Isle of Wight! Take in the gorgeous vintage beach huts and seafront promenades and enjoy that salty sea air!

If it’s a city break you’re after, why not visit Edinburgh? Voted by Which? as one of the top 10 best city breaks in the UK, there’s plenty to do in Scotland’s capital, with everything from historic buildings, incredible views and an array of Michelin starred restaurants. Or, for history lovers there’s the city of Bath, packed with beautiful Georgian buildings, and popular tourist attractions such as the Roman Baths and the Royal Crescent. Plus, you’re just a mere drive away from some of the best Cotswolds villages too, perfect for a leisurely stroll in the sunshine. For those who love the best of both when it comes to a city break, there’s Norfolk, which combines medieval buildings as well as a whole array of choices when it comes to shopping. We also can’t talk about city breaks without a mention of our glorious capital city either - London is perfect for anyone wanting to explore those world famous tourist attractions and take in the stunning views over the River Thames.

Prefer the serenity of the great outdoors rather than the bustling city? Take a trip to the Lake District and explore the breathtaking valleys and mountains while taking in the rich literary heritage. Alternatively, wander the rugged coastlines of South Wales with plenty of beautiful scenery, including the Brecon Beacons National Park, perfect for walking and getting some well needed headspace. There’s also Nottinghamshire, affectionately known as the “Queen of the Midlands,” and famous for its links with Robin Hood. Explore the spacious parkland of Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park, the ideal spot for wildlife lovers.

We hope we’ve given you plenty of inspiration when it comes to the best places in England to visit. Whether it’s a beautiful beach holiday or a stylish city break, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to top UK staycations. 10 Things Brits Fear the Most

What are the things Brits fear the most? The Coats of Arms of the United Kingdom or the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom, or the Royal Arms, for short, contains lions. Did you know what these stand for? We are not going into details about that in this video. But whenever you see lions, live or in a still or moving picture, what emotions do you see? If you gaze long enough, you would wonder if there’s anything a lion can ever fear. Yes, courage is one of the qualities of a lion. Is it not appropriate that this courageous beast is one of the symbols of the people of this courageous nation?
Don’t be naïve, as bold as they come across to be, Brits have their fears. They’re not all embodiments of fearlessness. In this video, we are going to show thing 10 things Brits fear the most. We know this from a recent credible survey into fears and phobias that revealed what the majority of Brits are scared of the most. We are going to use the medical terms ending with –phobia to define these fears for ease of assimilation.
1. Heights
Acrophobia is an abnormal dread of being in a high place or height. This is the first of the things Brits fear the most. A recently conducted survey from market researchers YouGov revealed that heights are Brit’s biggest fear or the commonest phobia. Even if that can be argued, as many as a quarter of the population in the survey said they are “very afraid” of being up high. Furthermore, 35% said they were “a little afraid.”
This phobia is what some people have mistakenly referred to as “vertigo.” But that is not correct. Many people in Britain do not really like to be off the ground at all. So being on anything, from an airplane to a crane, even to a wall or a tall building could give them excessive anxiety.
2. Public Speaking
Glossophobia is the fear of public speaking. To be fair, this fear is not peculiar to the Brits. It takes some training in public speaking to talk before a panel of more than 3 unfamiliar faces. How much more difficult will be it to address a crowd? Thus, our adopted research found that 20 percent of Britons find the thought of speaking in public too terrifying to just contemplate.
And this fear is more common for women than men. The stats reveal that women that said they are likely to be “very afraid” of public speaking are two times the men. We have discovered that the chance of failure, perhaps to get a job or to utter just the wrong word, puts so much pressure on Brits when they are due for public speaking. So when next you go to the UK and find that the bus is dead silent and no one is talking to anyone, you should know that 1 in 5 persons on the bus is having glossophobia or something close to it.
3. Snakes
Ophidiophobia is the fear of snakes. This fear, according to Live Science, has afflicted humans from the onset. We want to avoid being bitten. It’s among the commonest phobias. Some people can manifest symptoms such as anxiety, rapid heartbeat, and sweating, insomnia, upon seeing a snake. About 52 percent of Brits have one kind or the other of snake phobia. This makes ophidiophobia the third thing Brits fear the most.
Interestingly, experts say there are no poisonous snakes in the UK. Whether true or false, many Britons will never have even seen a snake outside a zoo or reptile house. But can you say it’s only Brits that have the fear of snakes? What about those of you who’re not from Britain?
