S2 EP-2 Chinguetti | Atar | Nouadhibou | Terjit | Mauritania Is Safe | Diama Border Crossing
We are getting many questions about Nouadhibou, Nouakchott, Atar, Chinguetti, Ouadane, Terjit, Diama Border Crossing, how is Western Desert or is Mauritania safe to travel? Also when riding a motorcycle in Mauritania how can you find gasoline?
When we were starting our Africa journey from Morocco, Western Africa we didn't have any experience about how to ride motorcycle, live in a tent, also we couldn't find so much info for Western Africa to make a plan. So, we decided to start our motorcycle journey of Africa and learn everything on the road like ride on the mud, sand, desert, set up the tent, is Africa safe or not, is it possible to travel to some locations, etc.
In the beginning, when we decided to do a trip around the world we only had enough money to get our driver license. After that we just had money to buy a basic motorcycle what was good for African roads and we could only afford a simple camera and cheap camping equipment
We know that we do not have great footage to make amazing videos to show you but we believe they are good enough to show you if Mauritania safe or not, how the roads look like, Mauritanian people behaviour, Mauritanian markets, how the desert cities look like, local Mauritania life, check points, border crossing. We would like to warn you about if you make photos and videos because some Mauritanian people don’t like to see a camera around and they can get angry. Especially if you want to make videos in the markets and dirty areas because unfortunately we could not say that Mauritanian markets are so clean.
We have been writing on our website since the start of our motorcycle journey. You and find all African border crossing and bribes info on the website. Also, you can read county to country about our Africa trip and route.
Our Mauritania journey started from Guerguerat, Western Sahara border to Nouadhibou. After that we wanted to pass the western desert all the way to Atar but we couldn't because our motorcycles were not strong enough to pass the Sahara desert. So we searched for Trans Mauritania by train but it was a very expensive option to put our motorcycles in the train and go to Atar. So, we decided to stuck the main road and go to Nouakchott our challenge was to find enough gasoline along the way, as in Mauritania there is not so much Gasoline to find. They only sell Diesel what is not for motorcycles.
After Atar we went to Chinguetti, Ouadane, Terjit from there we followed the road to Nouakchott and so on to the Diama Border in Mauritania for crossing Senegal.

Quarta etapa na Mauritania 2019 com início no Chinguetti, passagem pela espectacular aldeia de Mhaireth em direcção a Terjit onde visitámos o Oasis, almoçámos e desfutamos deste belo local. Após o descanso do almoço partimos em direcção ao Aoujeft onde abastecemos e posteriormente rumámos ao Valle Blanche e Pass Tifoujar numa pista de dunas fabulosas e espectaculares paisagens. O Bivouac em pleno Pass Tifoujar ofereceu-nos uma noite de lua cheia maravilhosa onde desgustámos uma bela refeição feita pelo Yimmi e uma discoteca berbere do melhor, aos mais destemidos ainda deu para subir o Pass pela noite dentro e beber uma fresquinha lá em cima. (Total 182km)

FR: Quatrième étape en Mauritanie 2019 à partir de Chinguetti, en passant par le spectaculaire village de Mhaireth en direction de Terjit où nous avons visité l'Oasis, déjeuné et apprécié ce bel endroit. Après la pause déjeuner, nous nous sommes dirigés vers Aoujeft où nous avons fait le plein, puis nous nous sommes dirigés vers la Vallée Blanche et le Pass de Tifoujar sur une piste de dunes fabuleuses et de paysages spectaculaires. Le bivouac au Pass Tifoujar nous a offert une merveilleuse nuit de pleine lune où nous avons apprécié un beau repas fait par Yimmi et une discothèque berbère des meilleurs. (Total 182 km)
EN: Fourth stage in Mauritania 2019 starting at Chinguetti, passing through the spectacular village of Mhaireth towards Terjit where we visited the Oasis, had lunch and enjoyed this beautiful place. After lunch break, we set off towards Aoujeft where we refuel and then headed to Valle Blanche and Pass Tifoujar on a track of fabulous dunes and spectacular landscapes. Bivouac in the Pass Tifoujar offered us a wonderful full moon night where we enjoyed a beautiful meal made by Yimmi and a Berber Discotheque of the best. (Total 182km)

Terceira etapa na Mauritania 2019 com início em Azougui passagem pelo Pass Ebnou em direcção a Ouadane onde visitámos a cidade velha e almoçamos no Auberge Vasque. De seguida partimos em direcção ao Chinguetti com passagem pela aldeia de Tanouchert, numa pista de dunas fabulosas e espectaculares paisagens. No Chinguetti visitámos uma das antigas bibliotecas e depois partimos para o Bivouac em pleno Oued Bou Agal. (Total 303km)

Dans cette vidéo, on t'emmene avec nous le jour de notre passage de frontière entre le Sénégal et la Mauritanie. C'est avec le cœur gros que nous quittons le Sénégal qui nous a tant offert mais nous sommes curieux de voir ce que la Mauritanie nous réserve.
La route que nous prenons n'est pas la plus simple et les premières douleurs musculaires arrivent. Finalement, ce n'est pas les muscles que nous pensions qui souffrent les premiers.

Saison 2 Episode 6 | Face au vent du Sahara occidental
Après plusieurs mois sans vidéo nous revoilà. Nous sommes rentrés en France il ya 3 mois avec encore beaucoup de contenu à partager. Entre les retrouvailles et la reprise d'une vie active nous pennons un peu à monter les vidéos.
Fin Novembre nous quittions la Mauritanie, ses magnifiques dunes et sa population chaleureuse pour affronter les alizés du sahara occidentale. Les distances se rallongent et nos repères changent après le passage de la frontière marocaine. Plus de 1000km de zones désertiques nous attendent avant d'arriver dans les villages peuplés du Maroc. Dans cet épisode on t'emmène dans notre quotidien jusqu'à Dahkla, l'une des plus grosse ville du désert au bout d'une lagune.

We have made it onwards to the next West African country of Guinea (Conakry) by motorcycle. When we were entering Guinea just started some protests, especially in capital city. We had a big question in our mind: Travel Guinea Conakry can trouble in protests time, also ride motorcycle is safe or not?
Two days we were off road because of border crossing Guinea Bissau to Guinea without border ☺
When we are closed to Conakry, which is capital city of Guinea. They told us road is close because of protests and some people dead. We decided that It could not safe us try to ride inside city when everything getting crazy.
So, we had changed the road and we didn't know that we were going to learn more about Guinean culture also Guinea people when jumped to the villages. Guinean culture is close to Guinea Bissau culture and we are not surprise for that because they are neighbor. At the same time people behavior is smilier.
We wanted show our Guinea travel, adventure and motorcycle journey in the short video. Hope you like it. We are waiting your comment.
We couldn't use our camera in many places because we didn't sure about their behavior also for security. Therefore our footage quality isn't great, sorry for it.

Un viaggio in fuoristrada alla scoperta della regione dell'Adrar.
Terza parte: Akjuit - Foum Tizegui
Poco dopo Akjuit usciamo dall'asfalto alla ricerca della pista che porta a sud verso la passe di Foum Tizegui. Composta da piccole dune molto ravvicinate, con frequenti gradini da superare, la passe ci impegna fin quasi al calar del sole, quando Marco ha nuovamente problemi all'avantreno. Al campo viene smontato quanto serve per poter ripartire la mattina seguente verso Atar - Chinguetti, dove decideremo il prosieguo del viaggio.
