At DGTL, we make our visitors, artists and suppliers aware of the impact of their travels and give them better opportunities, Julia van Boven says. In the third episode of 'Road To Circularity', we talk about mobility together with Jef de Vries, program manager at SkyNRG.
As preventing is always better than compensating, we try to encourage artists and visitors to travel zero emission. However, this is not always possible. For this, we will have a world premiere in 2022 through a collaboration with SkyNRG by replacing all fossil fuel for the artists’ flights with Sustainable Aviation Fuel.

The food we consume each day causes damage to the environment, and meat accounts for nearly 60% of all greenhouse gasses from food production. That is why we decided to go completely vegetarian in 2016. Through a new partnership with Beyond Meat, we can offer the same experience to visitors, but without the negative impact. Besides the fact that the dishes are vegetarian, they are also organic and locally sourced as much as possible. This year, our menu will be completely vegan, thus preventing even more CO2 emissions. The food we produce is handled responsibly, preventing waste at all costs.

Circular Trip - Part 4 (Chapter 1) : Mangalore Junction to Subhramanya Road
Part - 4 (Chapter 1) of Circular Trip
After a good night's rest in a hotel in Mangalore and having breakfast, we head for our return trip to Bangalore. Onboard 16516 Karwar Yesvantpur Express (via Kunigal).
As soon as we depart from Mangalore Junction, we meet Madgaon Mangalore Central DEMU going towards its final destination. After we move away from the single line going towards the Konkan region. We start our ascent to the Western Ghats. We cross beautiful small stations, tiny rivulets, multiple curves. Enjoy the show.

Starting from Aberdare town centre, this 15km circular route around the Cynon Valley is mostly on tarmac cycle paths although there is one section from Cwmaman to Abercwmboi on gravel paths that could be quite challenging to less experienced riders. Route map:
