In this video of Living the Jo life, we explore Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia! We take you on a journey through some of the top attractions and experiences that this fascinating city has to offer. First, we explore the stunning Diriyah Historical Village, where we immerse ourselves in the rich culture and history of Saudi Arabia. We also enjoy a delicious Arabic dinner at a local restaurant, savoring the traditional flavors and hospitality of the region. After dinner, we head to the bustling Boulevard City and enjoy a fun-filled night of entertainment.
The following day, we enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views from the Sky Bridge in the Kingdom Tower, before checking out the fascinating Line Exhibition, displaying the plans for the immense building projects of NEOM in northwestern Saudi Arabia. After a scrumptious lunch at the Zone, our adventure continues as we visit the majestic Marabba Palace, a true gem of Saudi architecture and design. We also take a stroll through the vibrant Souks, soaking up the sights, sounds, and scents of these colorful marketplaces surrounded by the magnificent Al Masmak Fortress, historic squares, and the largest mosque in Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia Travel - One Day in Riyadh ???????? المملكة العربية السعودية مدينة الرياض السفر سياحة أجنبي
Saudi Arabia has long been off limits to foreign tourists and travelers. Since a few months, however, it’s possible to visit the country on a tourist visa. I made use of this opportunity and traveled to Saudi Arabia for 2 weeks, including Riyadh, the Edge of the World, Jeddah, Medina, Al Ula, Umluj, and the Red Sea coast.
In this video I travel to Riyadh, the capital city in the center of the country. After visiting a mosque for Friday prayer and eating lunch with the locals, I tour to modern shopping malls, museums, traditional bazaars, a construction site with migrant workers, the famous Sky Bridge Kingdom Tower, and finally the Riyadh Season Festival, designed to promote tourism and culture. While I spent almost 3 days in Riyadh, I comprised the video to make it into one single day.

But as I discover there is much more to this massive country than first meets the eye. Riyadh is the capital and most populous city of Saudi Arabia. It is also the capital of Riyadh Province and belongs to the historical regions of Najd and Al-Yamama. It is situated in the center of the Arabian Peninsula on a large plateau, and is home to more than 8 million people.
The city is divided into 15 municipal districts, managed by Riyadh Municipality headed by the mayor of Riyadh, and the Riyadh Development Authority, chaired by the governor of Riyadh Province, Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud. The current mayor of Riyadh is Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Sultan. He was appointed mayor in 2015. It has been designated a global city.

We Went To Saudi Arabia.
In today's episode, we take you along on one of our craziest trips so far. Never in a million years did we think we'd go to Saudi Arabia this soon. Then, all of a sudden, we decided to just do it.
We were hesitant to go given all we’ve read about the country.
During our journey to 100 countries and beyond, we will undoubtedly visit countries where we don’t agree with certain laws or practices, and personally, we don’t want this to stop us from going.
After all, how can we build understanding if we refuse to meet people, or are not open-minded enough to talk to someone who might disagree with us? We need more understanding, respect, and international cooperation, not greater divides.
Our intention has always been to use our platform as a personal diary to look back on, and we want to take every opportunity we can to grow and learn more about the world.

Saudi Arabia Desert - Edge of the World Day Trip from Riyadh ???????? المملكة العربية السعودي سياحة
In this second episode of my journey through Saudi Arabia I travel to the Edge of the World, located in the rocky deserts, an adventurous day trip from Riyadh. This is arguably one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Saudi Arabia, and part of the much larger Tuwaiq Escarpment. It earned its nickname because of the clear uninterrupted views of the horizon.
I traveled here with a tourist guide (Mr. Ismael) who explained me more about this fascinating place. There are no clear pathways and signs, so if you travel to this region please be very careful. After hiking around the Edge of the World, we also visited a cave hidden in the ground, and eventually a camel market on the way back to Riyadh.
