Can I travel again & how to plan a round-the-world trip (80 planned countries until 2024)

???? April 2021 ▶️ We all ask ourselves when we can travel again. After a full year of waiting and a few rearrangements in terms of first destinations, It looks like I can finally persue my plans again, starting today! This second Round-the-world trip through 80 countries, 57 of them which I have never visited before, is going to be very different & interesting. This video will show you how I plan my round the world trip and it also give you a very good idea of which areas I intend to visit (and why). Starting off in Mexico with relatively low Covid19 cases and then going into the USA with a super fast vaccination speed, I will spend most of my time outdoors in my tent on the Pacific Crest Trail and will hopefully be safe from the virus. I will get off the PCT around end of August and am hoping that the rest of the world will catch up with their vaccinations as well to make the remaining itinerary possible without further delays!

On the afternoon of 4 November, VisitScotland delivered an international-facing event that was attended by 185 online delegates from 50 countries around the world, from Norway and Vietnam to the US and Mauritius.

The event, led by our Industry & Destination Development directorate, enabled an interactive forum to capture the opportunities and challenges of achieving net zero in tourism.

We partnered on the event with Tourism Declares, The Future of Tourism Coalition and NECSTouR, a network of 39 European tourism authorities committed to sustainability.

Earlier in the day, the Glasgow Declaration for Climate Action in Tourism was launched, an initiative to galvanise the global travel and tourism industry to commit to a decade of climate action.

This afternoon event was designed to build on this and create a dynamic opportunity for leading tourism stakeholders around the globe to highlight good practice and innovation on the journey to net zero, while exploring the actions, enablers and barriers to achieving it. None of us individually hold all the answers, but collectively we can share our knowledge and accelerate climate action.

17 Best Places To Visit In Australia & The Pacific Islands - Travel Video

It's no surprise that many people choose to backpack across Oceania, which is a continent made up of Australia, New Zealand, and numerous other Pacific Ocean islands. There are many amazing places to explore and new cultures to discover due to its numerous tropical and exotic locations. Oceania's countries benefit from stunning scenery. New Zealand's landscapes are extremely diverse, ranging from rugged coastlines to dense areas of lush forest. Many hikers enjoy the intensive walks that wind through New Zealand's countryside.

Australia is covered in desert and outback terrain that is ideal for off-roading. On one of the Great Ocean Road tours, you can also see Australia's famous beaches. Fiji, one of Oceania's other islands, is dotted with volcanoes that many people choose to hike up. Oceania still has a thriving indigenous population, particularly in Australia and New Zealand. Maori people, who arrived in New Zealand around 1,000 years ago, make up about 14 percent of the population. The indigenous people of Australia are known as Aborigines. These communities are important to the cultures of both countries, and you will have the chance to learn about their traditions and customs while traveling.

This Australia and The Pacific Islands travel guide will provide you the most amazing places to visit in the pacific. The beautiful places in the Pacific includes Auckland, Gold Coast, Kangaroo Island, Vanuata, Queenstown, Melbourne, Wellington, Sunshine Coast, Whitsunday Islands, Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, Fiji, Tasmania, Bora Bora, Great Barrier Reef, Sydney, Tahiti and South Island.

ETIAS Americans, Brits, Australians & Others Need Visa to Travel To Europe

ETIAS: Americans, Brits, Australians & Others Need a Visa to Travel To Europe

The European Union’s new Visa Waiver System

Are you a national of one of a group of select citizens able to travel to Europe without a visa?

Are you a US Citizen? What about Australian? Brazilian? Japanese? a New Zealander? a South Korean?...
No?

What about if you are a UK national that currently enjoys free movement to Europe?
Well after 31st December 2020, that will be changing.

✈ In this video:
ETIAS: EU’s New Visa Waiver System
ETIAS: Americans, Brits, Australians & Others Need a Visa to Travel To Europe

If you are a national of any of these countries and more, you will need to register for Europe's visa waiver program if you wish to travel to Europe.

EU is introducing a new system that aims to tighten security on travellers entering the EU's free movement Schengen zone.

This will affect the people who do not currently need a visa to enter one
of the countries that make up the Schengen zone.

The new system is called the European Travel Information and Authorization System or ETIAS which will be implemented in 2022.

- What is E T I A S?

The ETIAS travel pass will be valid for up to three years from the date of issue or when your passport expires.

You will be permitted to visit the Schengen Zone for up to 90 days per trip during a 180-day period.

Also, the ETIAS will be a Multiple Entry visa waiver.
This means that you can enter and exit the EU’s Schengen Zone as many times as you wish during each visit’s 90-day maximum period

ETIAS is a visa waiver program which is unlike a conventional visa as you do not need to physically go to an embassy or consulate.

The whole process will be completed online.

- Who Will Have to apply for an ETIAS?

There are currently 60 nationalities who will need to apply for an ETIAS visa waiver though more countries may be added in the future.

Many of these nationalities can currently travel to the Schengen Area visa-free but this will change when ETIAS is implemented.

Citizens from non-eligible countries will need to apply for a Schengen Visa to enter the Schengen zone.

There are also different types of visas available for people who want to study or work in Europe as ETIAS is not designed for these purposes.

Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia. Bahamas, Barbados, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, El Salvador, Georgia, Grenada, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Kiribati, Macau, Macedonia, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Moldova, Montenegro, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Samoa, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Taiwan, Timor Leste, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Venezuela

ETIAS will protect visitors to the Schengen Area as well as European citizens and residents.

The online application process has been designed to be hassle-free and straightforward, there will be no need to go to an embassy or consulate.

Other countries running similar visa-waiver style authorisations are Canada, the United States and Australia.

Avoiding HEAVY weather - Our longest ever Pacific Voyage || Marshall Islands to Fiji

Avoiding heavy weather - Our longest ever Pacific Voyage - Marshall Islands to Fiji.

This week we are travelling in one of the remotest parts of the Pacific Ocean- Between the Kiribati group and Tuvalu. With heavy weather forecast for our approach to Fiji we slow down and heave to while waiting for the weather to pass. In the meantime we are kept very busy with squalls and avoiding a large number of fishing vessels.

????‍❤️‍????About us :
Hello and welcome to our channel! We are Jo and Rob and we are here to share our sailing adventures with you.
In 2016, inspired by the likes of ‘Delos’, ‘Sailing La Vagabonde’ and ‘Gone with The Wynns’, we sold up everything we owned and bought our 40ft, Fountaine Pajot ‘Lipari 41 Evo’ sailing catamaran ‘Double Trouble’. We had no sailing experience whatsoever, so the past few years have been a huge learning curve.
We thought it might be fun to document our travels for anyone thinking of following a similar lifestyle.
So far we have visited 7 different countries and sailed over 13,000 nautical miles.
We have had many unique experiences that would not have been possible in our prior life and we don’t regret a second.
We're both super keen on protecting our precious environment, so amongst other things, we both follow a plant based diet. You wont find any fishing footage on this channel!
