If a city is complained about as no sense of existence, it is not only because of its poor economy, but also because of its overall poor performance. Yunfu is such a city: its location is remote, its terrain is poor, its population is small, and its economy is poor. If Shenzhen is the upper limit of Guangdong, then Yunfu is the lower limit of Guangdong. I can't remember which year Yunfu has been the city with the worst economy in Guangdong.
In 2020, Yunfu's GDP exceeded 100 billion (100.2 billion) in one fell swoop. It became the last city in Guangdong with a GDP of over 100 billion! What level is 100.2 billion? It is similar to Wuzhou next door, and it is also the last in Guangxi. 2020 is a special year for Yunfu. I remember that at the beginning of the outbreak, Yunfu had a sense of existence in Guangdong with zero confirmed cases. It was complained by netizens as a place that even the virus doesn't want to go to.
Yunfu is located in the central and western part of Guangdong, west of the Pearl River Delta, and on the south bank of the West River. From a geographical point of view, Yunfu is an out-and-out western Guangdong city. What is strange is that Guangdong has included Yunfu in the northern Guangdong region. Is it because they think Yunfu is as poor, remote and mountainous as the cities in northern Guangdong? However, Zhaoqing, which is only separated from Yunfu by the Xijiang River, has been included in the Greater Bay Area, making Yunfu an enclave in northern Guangdong. Yunfu is located between Yunkai Mountain, Yunwu Mountain and Tianlu Mountain, with mountainous hills accounting for as high as 91.2%. In theory, there are no plains. It is the most mountainous city in Guangdong. Only some relatively flat valleys have been washed out by the Xijiang River, Luoding River and Xinxing River. The largest and flattest piece of land is the Luoding Basin in the middle.
Unlike other cities in northern Guangdong, Yunfu, located at the junction of Guangdong and Guangxi, is relatively closed. The two countries seem to be family in culture, but they are independent in economy and transportation. In the past, Guangxi wanted to be the Southwest outlet and was unwilling to mix with Guangdong. Therefore, the traffic between Guangdong and Guangxi has not been smooth, and there are many dead-end roads. For example, the railway is only built to Yunfu and Luoding. Before the opening of the Nanning-Guangzhou Railway, there was not even a direct railway between the provincial capitals of Guangdong and Guangxi. Now Guangxi wants to, but Guangdong has no time to care about Guangxi. The Guangxi section of the Shenzhen-Nanning High-speed Railway has been under construction for some time, but there is no movement in the Guangdong section. Yunfu, sandwiched between Guangdong and Guangxi, is even more embarrassed. Everyone thinks why Yunfu was able to achieve zero confirmed cases at the beginning of the outbreak. In addition to the inconvenient transportation in Shankala and no one coming, there are not many people in Yunfu.

Zhouzhuang water town of China
Zhouzhuang water town of China
In the world there are many places that are called Venice. But the Chinese town of Zhouzhuang is particularly well suited for this definition. Zhouzhuang - is the oldest Chinese settlement on the water. Its history goes back 900 years. City is a series of islands surrounded by water. As in Venice, through which spanned numerous bridges. Zhouzhuang located 35 kilometers southeast of the eastern city of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province is known as China's first village on the water. It is one of the most famous water townships in China, noted for its profound cultural background, the well preserved ancient residential houses and the elegant watery views. It has been called the Venice of the East.
Zhouzhuang is surrounded by four rivers of water that formed it eight streets, connected by a few dozen stone bridges. Bridges are very different, but the most typical are paired Shuangqiao bridges built during the Ming Dynasty. They consist of an arched stone span from one beam and stone. Architecturally unique is the two-pass bridge, thrown across the two channels. Streets are rivers, passages are connected by bridges, and houses built along the rivers, which are the roads on which the locals are moved by boat.
Zhouzhang originated as a village by the name of Zhenfengli during the Spring and Autumn (BCE (770-476) Period of the Eastern Zhou (BCE 770-221) Dynasty. It received its current name in CE 1086 during the Northern Song (CE 960-1127) Dynasty when the village, which had belonged to the fiefdom of Yaocheng, was donated to Zhenfengli's Quanfu (Full Fortune) Temple – also known as Blessed Temple – by a devout Buddhist by the name of Zhou Digong, who owned this piece of land
Most of the old houses and bridges of Zhenfengli cum Zhouzhang stem from the Ming (CE 1368-1644) and Qing (CE 1644-1911) Dynasty period, though some are from the Yuan (CE 1279-1368) Dynasty period. Less than 40% of the structures in Zhouzhuang stem from the pre-Yuan era, while a few – including the town's new water tower and Quanfu Pagoda, the latter of which was erected in order to conceal the view of the newly erected water tower as much as possible (which explains why Quanfu Pagoda lies in the northwestern section of the town, near the new archway entrance to Zhouzhuang, while Quanfu Temple itself lies in the southwestern section of Zhouzhuang – stem from the end of the 20th century.
Zhouzhang is a beautiful, picturesque village of willow-lined canals that are contiguous with rows of waterside buildings with whitewashed walls and gray slate roofs, and whose wooden eaves are upturned in the quintessentially Chinese fashion. Inland from the canals and the stone arch bridges are streets paved with cobblestones.
Since the 12th century, Zhouzhuang has been connected to the Grand Canal, which extends from Hangzhou in the south to Beijing in the north. This development naturally brought prosperity to the region of Suzhou, and it was thanks to this prosperity that the region in part developed its own scholars and artists, and in part attracted them from outside. Many of these artists and members of the literati were either native sons, or chose to make the idyllic watertowns of the region their new home.

Aerial View of China bridge structure, China cable stayed bridge from above
A cable-stayed bridge has one or more towers (or pylons), from which cables support the bridge deck. A distinctive feature are the cables or stays, which run directly from the tower to the deck, normally forming a fan-like pattern or a series of parallel lines. This is in contrast to the modern suspension bridge, where the cables supporting the deck are suspended vertically from the main cable, anchored at both ends of the bridge and running between the towers. The cable-stayed bridge is optimal for spans longer than cantilever bridges and shorter than suspension bridges. This is the range within which cantilever bridges would rapidly grow heavier, and suspension bridge cabling would be more costly.

Guangji Bridge (Chaozhou) - Place to Travel 2014
Guangji Bridge (simplified Chinese: 广济桥; traditional Chinese: 廣濟橋; pinyin: Guǎng Jì Qiáo; literally: Great Charity Bridge), also known as Xiangzi Bridge (simplified Chinese: 湘子桥; traditional Chinese: 湘子橋; pinyin: Xiāng Zǐ Qiáo) is an ancient bridge that crosses the Han River in Chaozhou, Guangdong province, China.[1] A key cultural relic under national protection, the bridge is renowned as one of China's four famous ancient bridges; the other three are the Zhaozhou Bridge, the Lugou Bridge and Luoyang Bridge. It is located in the east of Chaozhou, across Hanjiang River.[2] It was an important bridge for people from two sides of Han River to travel. It is the first open and close style bateau bridge in China, and even in the world. There is an old saying, “到潮不到桥,枉向潮州走一遭.”[1] It means that if you went to Chaozhou without visiting the bridge, you cannot say that you have been to Chaozhou actually. Mao Yisheng, a famous expert in bridge, said, “A part of Guangji Bridge is connected by boats as a bateau bridge. When it is open, there is a channel for ships and boats to get across. For More info:

Chinatown designated district outside of China, where most people of Chinese descent live and work. Chinese often choose the term Tang ren jie.
In the past, the term had a negative connotation, because in Chinatowns often prevailed hygienic and structural ills. Chinatowns are subject for a long time a conversion process. The assimilation of the Asian population in many countries, leading to the gentrification of the formerly unified district. Some Chinatowns are popular tourist destinations today.
As the oldest separate Chinese district shall Shinchimachi in Nagasaki ( Japan ), and Yaowarat Road in Bangkok ( Thailand ), which established Chinese traders more than 200 years ago. The Chinatown in Melbourne ( Melbourne Chinatown ) was established in 1854 during the Victorian gold rush set up and is the longest continuously active Chinatown outside of Asia.
The Hokkien and Teochew (both groups, the Minnan sub-group of Chinese dialects speak) are common to the Cantonese are the dominant group in Southeast Asian Chinatowns, such as Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Hakka built in Africa, for example, Mauritius, in Latin America and the Caribbean Chinatowns. Chinese from the north settled in Korea in the 1940s on. In Europe, the first Chinese were seafarers and port workers. Because of this, there were the first Chinatowns there in port cities such as Hamburg, Germany. France has received most of the first Chinese immigrants workers, mainly from Wenzhou. Furthermore, there is also Chinatowns in the Indian cities such as Kolkata and Mumbai.
Historical Chinatowns with large entrance gates that were built on the access roads and buildings and temples in traditional Chinese architecture are considered as the typical image of a city Chinatown. Most Chinatowns are the result of chaotic development, rarely districts, such as in Seoul, planned to be created. Traditionally, they reach a high population density and are socially, culturally and economically partially autonomous from the rest of the city. Traditions, such as the Chinese New Year celebrations, language and religions will continue unchanged. In some cities, even bilingual road signs were introduced in Chinatowns. It is dominated by Asian restaurants, snack bars, shops and small industries. The informal sector is an important economic activity.
The social conditions are fundamentally different in the various cities, regions and continents. Nowadays causes an increasing assimilation that many district lose their uniform Chinese characteristics and population. The result is a gentrification. Some Chinatowns have evolved into modern quarters with fully developed infrastructure and a strong economy, but equally there are many poor Chinatowns who suffer from devastating grievances. Tourism has many places greatly improved the quality of life in the neighborhoods. However, he also leads to distortion and artificial exaggeration Asian accents.
Since at least 1000 years bridges in Asia and South America are formed over narrow gorges of plant fibers as suspension bridges, the last remaining functioning of this type is the suspension bridge Qu'eswachaka, it consists entirely of grass. From the large number of historic bridges in China only a few examples can be mentioned. Built in 584 Xiaoshang Bridge already used a segmental arch with mounted diffusers to reduce the water resistance. 605 AD by Li Chun known to Ji-Qiao (also called Zhaozhou Bridge) over the Chiao-Shui River in the southern province of Hebei as flat segmental arch bridge of having an internal diameter of 37.5 m at a sagitta seven meters built. Siese considerably more tensioned bridge has two openings at both ends. The slightly curved bridge deck gives it an elegant look. The Yongtong Bridge (1190-1195) is similar to the much older Anji Bridge, but was after its completion with a series of bas-reliefs decorated.
The Dongjin Bridge in Ganzhou, province of Jiangxi is one of several pontoon bridges in China. 806 AD which was Baodai Bridge in Suzhou (Jiangsu) first built, which was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt and whose current building dates with numerous brick arches from 1446. The Luoyang Bridge (1053-1059) is the oldest, still existing stone slab bridge in China. However, the longest with over 2000 m slab bridge in China is the built 1138-1151 Anping Bridge (also called Wuli Bridge) in Jinjiang (Quanzhou) in Fujian. 1170 518 m long was Guangji Bridge (also Xiangzi Bridge) in Chaozhou, Guangdong completed, which was carried out in part as a pontoon bridge to open it for vessel traffic can.
