The Beauty of Guilin | Southern China (4K)
It was a long dream of mine to visit this unique area around Guilin, Yangshou and Xingping in Asia. To be honest, it was on the very top of my bucket list. Now I finally made it to this picturesque landscape in the south of China and I should not be disappointed.
The karst peaks of Southern China are one of my favorite landscapes. But also capturing the Kormorant fishing on Li river, as it used to be centuries ago, was a big highlight. It was an absolute pleasure to shoot with Mr. Huang Gao Hui, one of the famous fishermen in Xingping. I was able to document a tradition that is unfortunately dying out, like many others, due to the increase of tourism in our ever developing world. The fact is, this man now earns far more through tourism that he would have done catching and selling fish locally.

I got to visit the Great Wall of China on my visit to Beijing, China. Seriously one of the greater moments of my life to see this. And winter is the best time to visit great wall in China. Yulin city of more than three million citizens bisected by the Great Wall, Yulin attracts travelers from around the world with its wide range of historical gems.
Located this far north, the city seems rather long, cold winters amid a monsoon-influenced semi-arid climate. The topography varies remarkably from the northern to the southern parts of the city, with a windswept grass steppe above and a dusty, hilly landscape below. The Yulin River, the city’s “mother river”, flows through Red Rock Canyon, forming a series of stunning views that attract locals.

Yulin, Shaanxi, China
Yulin, a prefecture-level city in Shaanxi Province, is located in the northernmost part of Shaanxi, at the junction of Loess Plateau and Maowusu Sandy, a transition area between Loess Plateau and Inner Mongolia Plateau, east of the Yellow River and Shanxi Province across the river, west of Ningxia, Gansu, south of Yan'an, north of Ordos, the junction of five provinces in Shaanxi, Gansu, Ning, Mongolia and Jin, with a total area of 42,920.2 square kilometers. As of 2020, the city has 2 municipal districts, 9 counties, and 1 county-level city under its escrow. Yulin is the main production area of Shaanxi miscellaneous grains, rich in energy and mineral resources, known as China's Kuwait. It has one of the seven largest coal fields in the world, Shenfu Coalfield. According to the seventh census, the resident population of Yulin was 3624,750 at 00:00 on November 1, 2020.
Yulin began in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was the site of the Yansui Town (also known as Yulin Town), an important town on the nine borders of the Ming Dynasty, and was given an inscribed monument by the Kangxi Emperor with the words Two Guardian of the Lonely City, Thousands of Years of Loyalty and Courage. It is a national historical and cultural city, a national health city, a Chinese caring city, a Chinese top 100 city, a national new energy demonstration city, a national ecological protection and construction demonstration city, a top 100 Chinese city competitiveness, a top 10 wealth-creating city in China in 2012, and a 2012 Chinese characteristic charming city Top 200 in 2012, and the most attractive city for investment in Northwest China in 2013.
In 2021, Yulin's GDP was 543.52 billion yuan, an increase of 7.9% over the previous year.

Yulin, Guangxi🇨🇳 The Old Arcade Street is Always Lively (4K HDR)
Yulin (玉林), located in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (广西壮族自治区) of the People's Republic of China, is a prefecture-level city known for its rich history and cultural significance. The city's name, which translates to Jade Forest, was officially adopted in 1956, replacing its historical name 鬱林 (Yùlín, meaning Dense Forest). This change was made to differentiate it in Standard Mandarin, though the original name and the new one are homophonous in the local Yue dialect.
Yulin covers an area of 12,828 square kilometers and had a population of approximately 5.8 million people according to the 2020 census. The city is characterized by its hilly basin geography, located in southeastern Guangxi along the border with Guangdong. It experiences a subtropical monsoonal climate, with an average annual temperature of 22.9°C and yearly precipitation of 1,577 mm.
Historically, Yulin has been a significant area for trade and communication between central China and the southern regions, especially along the coast of the Tonkin Gulf. The area was settled before the Qin dynasty, but it was not until the early Han dynasty that a commandery named Yulin was established. By 996 AD, the urban center of Yulin became known as a zhou.
Yulin's administration is divided into two districts, one county-level city, four counties, and 119 towns and townships. Its economy is diverse, rich in natural resources such as granite, limestone, iron, gemstones, and porcelain clay. Agriculture plays a significant role, with major products including rice, bananas, tomatoes, mandarin oranges, mangoes, longan, anise, tea, and sugarcane, alongside livestock farming.
The city is also known for the controversial Lychee and Dog Meat Festival, which attracts international attention and protests due to the slaughter of over 10,000 dogs for consumption during the event.
Transportation infrastructure in Yulin is well-developed, with the G59 Hohhot–Beihai Expressway and G80 Guangzhou–Kunming Expressway intersecting here. The city is served by Yulin railway station and Yulin Fumian Airport, facilitating both regional and national connectivity.
Education is another important aspect of Yulin, home to Yulin Normal University and the prestigious Guangxi Yulin High School, highlighting the city's commitment to educational development and excellence.

1-The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications that were built across the historical northern borders of ancient Chinese states and Imperial China as protection against various nomadic groups from the Eurasian Steppe. Several walls were built from as early as the 7th century BC, with selective stretches later joined together by Qin Shi Huang (220–206 BC), the first emperor of China. Little of the Qin wall remains. Later on, many successive dynasties built and maintained multiple stretches of border walls. The most well-known sections of the wall were built by the Ming dynasty (1368–1644).
2-The Li River or Li Jiang, which belongs to the Xijiang River system in the Pearl River Basin, is a generic term for the tributary of the upper reaches of the Guijiang River and is located in the northeastern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. It flows 215 kilometres (134 mi) from Xing'an County to Pingle County , where the karst mountains and river sights highlight the famous Li River cruise.
3-The Terracotta Army is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE with the purpose of protecting the emperor in his afterlife.
4-The Mogao Caves, also known as the Thousand Buddha Grottoes or Caves of the Thousand Buddhas, form a system of 500 temples[1] 25 km (16 mi) southeast of the center of Dunhuang, an oasis located at a religious and cultural crossroads on the Silk Road, in Gansu province, China. The caves may also be known as the Dunhuang Caves; however, this term is also used as a collective term to include other Buddhist cave sites in and around the Dunhuang area, such as the Western Thousand Buddha Caves, Eastern Thousand Buddha Caves, Yulin Caves, and Five Temple Caves.
5-The Summer Palace is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing. It was an imperial garden in the Qing dynasty. Mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, it covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometres (1.1 sq mi), three-quarters of which is water.
6-The Forbidden City is a palace complex in Dongcheng District, Beijing, China, at the center of the Imperial City of Beijing. It is surrounded by numerous opulent imperial gardens and temples including the 22-hectare (54-acre) Zhongshan Park, the sacrificial Imperial Ancestral Temple, the 69-hectare (171-acre) Beihai Park, and the 23-hectare (57-acre) Jingshan Park.
