Wat Mahathat and Phra That Anon. A unique Monastery Yasothon Thailand
Wat Mahathat and Wat Phra That Anon in Yasothon Thailand is one of the unique class of monasterys and one of the tourist locations visited by many people each week'
We spent about two hours here and the paintings inside the temple are beautiful
Wat Mahathat is usually named after an important temple of the province. Located in the middle of Yasothon's municipal area, Wat Mahathat Yasothon was built at the same time of the city in 1797 as an installation for glass-made Buddha image, Phra Buddha Busayarat or Phra Kaew Yod Namkhang. The Buddha image was given as a reward to the first governor of Yasothon by King Rama III.
The important building here is Phra That Yasothon or Phra That Anon. It was believed to be built in 1769 by a state minister from Sri Sattanahut (Vientiane) with Laotian-style which was popular in late Ayutthaya or early Rattanakosin periods. The pagoda houses the relic of Phra Anon.
Another important building is the Isan-art style scripture hall. The doorway and the door were beautiful carved woods. Built during the reign of Rama IV and V of Rattanakosin era, the hall stores scriptures on dried palm leaves and art objects from Vientiane.

JUST MARRIED!! Why I picked today to marry my Thai lady. #Shorts
We got married today. Why did I move so fast. Questions answered in this video.
My name is Brian but everyone calls me Greeny. I retired in January of 2020 after working 30 years in my field. I didn’t want to work so long that I would be too old to enjoy my retirement. After living in Michigan my whole life I decided I wanted to retire somewhere warm, somewhere exotic. I sampled a ton of places in the Caribbean, Panama, Colombia, Turkey but set my sights on Thailand. I spent most of the winter of 2020 exploring Thailand then ......you know what happened. IT!!!
So I had to catch one of the last flights and come home. Now I’m back.
Why am I making videos? I need a hobby. I feel if I don’t do anything creative my mind may melt. I can also easily go back and reminisce by watching the videos. If anyone else enjoys them then that is a plus.
I take a ton of Travel photos. Check out my Instagram or Facebook. I usually post a pic everyday.

Thailand Rocket Festival🚀Bun Bang Fai #rocketfestival #rocket #festival #thailand
Thailand Rocket Festival 2023, Bun Bang Fai. 19 – 21 May, 2023 at Phaya Thaen park, Yasothon.
Another Video:
The Thailand Rocket Festival, also known as Bun Bang Fai or Bun Bung Fai, is a traditional festival celebrated annually in the northeastern region of Thailand, particularly in the provinces of Yasothon, Roi Et, and Kalasin.
The festival is usually held in May or June, and it involves the launching of homemade rockets into the sky as a way of paying homage to the rain god, Phaya Thaen. The rockets are made from bamboo and filled with gunpowder, and they can reach heights of up to 300 meters.
The festival also features traditional dances, music, and food, and it is considered an important cultural event in Thailand. The festival is believed to bring good luck and prosperity to the villages that participate in it.
However, the festival can be dangerous, as the rockets are not always stable and can cause injury or damage to property. In recent years, authorities have taken steps to regulate the festival and promote safety, including requiring participants to obtain permits and limiting the size and power of the rockets.
