Enping, known as Enzhou in ancient times, is one of the Five Cities. County-level cities under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province are administered by Jiangmen City. Located in the west of Jiangmen City, it borders on Kaiping and Taishan in the east, Yangjiang in the south, Yangchun in the west, Yunfu in the north and the South China Sea. The total area of the city is 1698.6 square kilometers, and the coastline is 21 kilometers long. It governs 1 street and 10 towns. As of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, Enping had a resident population of 483,907.
The establishment of Enping began in the 25th year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (220 years). It is a thousand-year-old town in southern Guangdong and one of the 20 counties with the longest history of establishing counties in Guangdong Province.
