Vietnam
Country in Asia
Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Củ Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers.
Hanoi
Capital of Vietnam
Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food. ― Google

Old Bangkok DIY THAI STREET FOOD TOUR 🌶 🍜 Best Pad Kaprao TALAT PHLU Area - ฝรั่งกินอาหารไทย
Today I headed to an old area of Bangkok known as Talat Phlu to sample two unique versions of two classic Thai dishes in one area. I want to help you find authentic Thai street food wherever you are staying in Bangkok by giving you these little DIY food tours in every area of the city.
The Talat Phlu area is best known for the famous Talat Phlu Market and for good reason, it's a street food paradise! There is a lot more to this area, though, like the two awesome stops on today's street food hunt!
Today I'm showing you an incredible pad kaprao (stir fried holy basil) and some egg noodles with wontons and crispy pork, both with their own unique twists!
I finished up in a great little coffee shop/plant shop for a nice hand roated latte at a place called Masonia Tree & Coffee Cafe.
Bangkok's Chinatown can be a bit overwhelming if it's your first time in Bangkok as it's so big, so I thought I'd do some videos to help break it down into sections so you can get some awesome street food wherever you go.

My name’s Gary and I’ve been living in Bangkok for the past six years and travelling Thailand for over ten. I’m obsessed with Thai street food and it’s that obsession that led me to start this YouTube channel. I want to share my favourite hidden spots in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand so you can fall in love with authentic, local Thai food as much as I have!
I’ve never understood travelling to a town or city and not eating the local food. How else do you really connect with a place? Let’s get out and explore together and I guarantee you’ll find a whole different side to this wonderful country.
If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not!

The REAL TALAT NOI & CHINATOWN - The Heart of Bangkok!
In this video I'll take you around Bangkok's กรุงเทพมหานคร amazing Chinatown (Yaowarat), along with it's historical and picturesque sub-district of Talat Noi ตลาดน้อย.
This isn't just another street food tour video, there's plenty of those already! This is all about exploring the sights and the places, and getting a real feel for the life of the area.
We'll start in Talat Noi, a historic ethnic Chinese-Thai community area that's becoming a popular tourist destination with it's Instgram perfect spots and street art combined with traditional life. From churches like the The Holy Rosary Church, also known as Kalawar Church วัดแม่พระลูกประคำ กาลหว่าร์, to Chinese temples and shrines, to hipster cafes, it's a real gem of Bangkok.
From there we'll take the boat on the Chao Phraya river up to Wat Arun, The Temple of Dawn just outside of Chinatown in the old center of the city, before heading back on the metro into the real heart of Chinatown เยาวราช (ไชน่าทาวน์), the busy main street and getting lost in the Old Market ตลาดเก่าเยาวราช
We'll go as far as the Ong Ang Walking Street ถนนคนเดินคลองโอ่งอ่าง before finishing the day at the street food stalls which get gradually busier as the sun goes down.
To me, this is really one of the most wonderful ways that you can spend a day in this great city!

Pak Khlong Talat Bangkok Old Town (Street Photography POV)
One night in Bangkok Old Town Street Photography POV: In this video viewers will see what it looks like when a street photographer takes pictures in Phra Nakhon, one of the most important districts of Thailand‘s capital. Bangkok‘s old town is one of the 50 districts and the central district of the world’s most visited city, including Rattanakosin Island.
Phra Nakhon is bounded by the Chao Phraya River to the west, one canal in the north, and another canal to the east. The center of Bangkok, marked by the city pillar shrine is in the district. Some of many notable sightseeing hot spots: Grand Palace, Giant Swing, Wat Arun, Wat Saket, Wat Pho, Democracy Monument, Khaosan Road, Amulet Market, Flower Market.
In this video the photo walk starts at Wat Suthat. Next stops: Giant Swing, Jay Fai Michelin Street Food, Loha Prasat, Golden Mount (Wat Saket), Likit Gai Yang Chicken BBQ Restaurant, Rajadamnern Stadium (Muay Thai Fight night), Democracy Monument, Hero Moo Plara (from the Netflix show „Midnight in Asia“), street food market scenes close to Wat Bowonniwet, Khaosan Road, Ram Buttri walking street, Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Flower Market.
Who is this video for?
This street photographer‘s point of view photo walk is for viewers who love to travel and who love taking pictures. In this video you will see some of the most photogenic spots of Bangkok. I added maps to the video and the google maps links to the video‘s description. This should help other travellers saving time. But this video is also for Bangkok enthusiasts who know a lot about the city - but can‘t get enough if it‘s charme.
