А все потому, что в окрестностях как с китайской, так и с монгольской стороны нашли много костей этих древних животных. Вот местные недолго думая и решили сделать их своим символом. Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, China
Ulanqab, a prefecture-level city in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the north of China, in the middle of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, between 39°37′ and 43°28′ north latitude and 109°16′ and 114°49′ east longitude, 458 km long from east to west and 442 km wide from north to south, with a total area of about 54,500 square kilometers. It borders Hebei province in the east, Xilin Gol league in the northeast, Shanxi province in the south, the capital Hohhot in the southwest, Baotou in the northwest, and Mongolia in the north, with a national border of more than 100 km. in 2021, the city's resident population was 1,659,500.
Beijing-Baotou Railway, Jiji Railway, Zhangji Railway, Jitong Railway, Dajun Railway, Beijing-Lhasa Expressway, Beijing-Urumqi Expressway, Erlianhot-Guangzhou Expressway, National Highway 110, National Highway 208 to, Hulman Inter-provincial Corridor run through the territory of Ulanqab. Meanwhile, Ulanqab is an important birthplace of Dayao culture, Yangshao culture and Daihai culture, and is praised by archaeologist Mr. Su Bingqi as the place where the sun rises. Ulanqab is rich in tourism resources, ancient relics, forests and lakes, hot springs and volcanoes, and all types of grasslands throughout the territory.
Ulaanchab is a Mongolian word translated as red mountain pass. Wulanchabu has Grassland Cloud Valley, China Grassland Summer Capital, Air Three Gorges Wind Power Capital, Auspicious Grassland Shenzhou Home , China's Potato Capital, Grassland Leather Capital, China's Oat Capital, China's Grassland Yogurt Capital, China's most beautiful health and leisure tourism city and other names. In October 2020, it was named as a national model city (county) of double support. in June 2017, Ulanqab was named as a national sanitary city by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee. In Dec. 13, 2018, Ulanqab was selected to the list of superior areas of Chinese special agricultural products. 2020, the gross regional product of Ulanqab City was completed 82.69 billion yuan.

I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and YouTuber who's been to 61 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This marked the start of my efforts to turn vlogging into a full-time job.
After that European trip I explored much of Asia: visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
I've travelled to North America just once as a YouTuber, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. I then visited the Caribbean for the first time, covering the Dominican Republic, before heading to both Brussels and Amsterdam, then covering Taiwan and the Philippines in Asia. I finished off the year with a trip around Morocco.
I started my travels in 2023 by finally visiting Paris, taking the Eurostar from London. I then headed over to Qatar for a few days, before heading to Asia, with videos following from India, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and Mongolia.

Erlianhot, Xilinguole, Inner Mongolia, China
Erlianhot, under the Xilinguole League of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the north of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, across the border from the Mongolian port city of Zamyn Ude in the north, 4.5 km from each other, east of Xilinguole League Sunit Left Banner, and adjacent to Sunit Right Banner in the west and south. It is the closest land border crossing to the capital city of Beijing, 360 km from Xilin Gol league Xilinhot, 390 km from Hohhot and 690 km from Beijing. It is 714 km from Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, and 7,623 km from Moscow, the capital of Russia. The border is 72.3 km long and has a total area of 4,015 km2. [As of October 2021, Erlianhot has 1 soum: Gezhil Odu Soum. 5 gachas and 8 communities. 72,500 people live in Erlianhot in 2021. The total household registration population is 36,600 people.

Travel Vlog | Tour & Explore the Xilamuren Grassland & Desert of Inner Mongolia, China
In our second graduation trip, we explored China and visited our friends who were staying there. The second stop of our trip was Inner Mongolia, where we booked a tour with a local travel agent to visit the Xilamuren Grassland and the Whistling Dune Bay.
We took an overnight train from Beijing to Hohhot City and started our adventure bright and early. We had some Mongolia rice wine and milk tea, followed by horse-riding in the Xilamuren Grassland. We also visited the Hongge'er Aobao Hill and watched a spectacular horse-riding acrobatics and ancient sacrificial ceremony performance. We paid extra money to attend the Zhama Banquet Feast, an ancient palace feast for the royalty, and got to wear traditional Mongolian costumes.
It was pretty windy and chilly out there so we wore a jacket for the entire trip. Unfortunately, it slipped our minds that the traditional Mongolian yurt we were staying in had no heater. The night was freezing cold so we could barely sleep.
The next day, we visited the Whistling Dune Bay which was a modern tourist attraction with lots of activities. We rode cable cars, camels, quad bikes and chairlifts. The weather was great with both sun and breeze.
The last day was spent in the Hohhot City where we visited the Dazhao Temple, one of the oldest temples in Inner Mongolia.

A Drive through Inner Mongolia
Every step from the vast grasslands to the deserts was a new discovery. The locals were friendly and welcoming, eager to share their culture and traditions. The food was delicious, with flavours and spices that were new to me. Riding on horseback through the grasslands was a highlight, as was watching the sunset over the sand dunes. Overall, Inner Mongolia was an unforgettable experience I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking adventure and a taste of a different way of life.

Travel China: A weekend escape from Beijing to Inner Mongolia
If you are living in China and have a chance for travels then Inner Mongolia should definitely be a place for you to travel to. Especially when you are living in big cities like Beijing or Shanghai, you want to have a weekend-getaway out of the concrete jungle.
Traveling to these wide open areas where you'd expect native tribes riding their horses (at least in the country of Mongolia), you will see vast lands and prairies, flower fields and smog free clean air. Inner Mongolia is very different from the big city life and hustle. Breaking free for a couple of days, stopping in sunflower fields, taking tons of picture in the beautiful nature and even going for sunrise photo shootings with a clear star sky above you are experiences you will never be able to get in the million people cities of China.
It only takes a few hours to get out of Beijing and drive there on your own (or as I have done with a colleague, his wife and friends) and experience the very remote places with locals welcoming foreigners (lao wei) very friendly. Those places were so remote, that foreigners were actually not allowed to be hosted in the local hotels, probably for the reason that they don't have the license to host foreigners for which a certain standard of accommodation needs to be provided. Yet, in such rural areas, none of the places are likely to fulfill those requirements. This made me hide behind curtains and avoiding walking outside among many people in day and night time - simply because foreigners are really rarely spotted in such neighborhoods.
