Wiltshire is a county in South West England with an area of 3,485 km². It is landlocked and borders the counties of Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. The county town was originally Wilton, after which the county is named, but Wiltshire Council is now based in the county town of Trowbridge. Within the county's boundary are two unitary authority areas, Wiltshire and Swindon, governed respectively by Wiltshire Council and Swindon Borough Council.
Swindon is a large town in the ceremonial county of Wiltshire, South West England, between Bristol, 35 miles (56 kilometres) to the west, and Reading, the same distance to the east; the town is 71 miles (114 km) west of London. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 182,441. The Town Development Act 1952 led to a major increase in its population.
Swindon railway station is on the line from London Paddington to Bristol. Swindon Borough Council is a unitary authority, independent of Wiltshire Council since 1997. Residents of Swindon are known as Swindonians. Swindon is home to the Bodleian Library's book depository,[3] the English Heritage National Monument Record Centre, the headquarters of the National Trust, on the site of the former Great Western Railway works, and the Nationwide Building Society, and a Honda car manufacturing plant, which is due to close in 2021.
Devizes is a market town and civil parish in the centre of Wiltshire, England. It developed around Devizes Castle, an 11th-century Norman castle, and received a charter in 1141 permitting regular markets, which are held weekly in an open market place. The castle was besieged during the Anarchy, a 12th-century civil war between Stephen of England and Empress Matilda, and again during the English Civil War when the Cavaliers lifted the siege during the Battle of Roundway Down. Devizes remained under Royalist control until 1645, when Oliver Cromwell attacked and forced the Royalists to surrender. The castle was destroyed in 1648 on the orders of Parliament, and today little remains of it.

Hagbourne Copse Nature Reserve - Beautiful Bluebell Wood in Swindon!
Hagbourne Copse Nature Reserve is a gorgeous woodland that lies by a junction of the M4 in West Swindon.
It originally used to be part of the Lydiard Park estate but now it lies separated within Blagrove Industrial Park.
Each year around April/May the bluebells arrive and it's a blanket of purple all over the woods!
It's completely free to visit and open 24 hours a day to enjoy.
I've lived in Swindon for nearly 25 years and I didn't know that this magical place existed until this year.
I hope you enjoy this quick tour with me around the bluebells of Hagbourne Copse Bluebell Wood in Swindon!
Remember to protect bluebells on your visit by sticking to designated pathways. As they are native to the area they will not survive being trodden on and we want to make sure they return for years to come :)

Major Philip Musgrave Neeld Wroughton Memorial near Great Shefford
There is a plaque on the side commemorating the other dead from Great Shefford. It seems extra poignant to have the memorial on such a lovely spot. The Major died during Second Battle of Gaza was fought between 17 to 19 April 1917 . He is actually buried in Gaza.
Berkshire Yeomanry Regiment died 19/04/1917 aged 29. son of Son of Philip and Evelyn M. Wroughton, of Woolley Park, Wantage, Berks. Philips father (also Philip) has a page on Wikipedia.
Sometimes the story of the death of an individual brings home the horror of war more effectively than reciting the millions of deaths in the Great War.

River Ray (Drone Footage)
This Drone Footage Video captures the River Ray which is a tributary of the River Thames in England which flows through Wiltshire.
The river rises at Wroughton to the south of Swindon and runs in a generally northern direction, passing to the west of the town via Shaw. Near Roughmoor it is joined from the west by the Lydiard Brook. The river joins the Thames on the southern bank near Calcutt, east of Cricklade, just upstream of Water Eaton House Bridge. Its length is about 7.1 miles (11.5 km) from its source to the Lydiard Brook, and 6.4 miles (10.3 km) from there to the Thames.
The river has been subject to a restoration project run by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. The final stage, completed in December 2007, was to build a tunnel near the Great Western Way at Rivermead to allow the nine species of fish to travel the length of the river without obstruction.
