Portland, Oregon, is a distinctly off-beat, vibrant, and eccentric city that has been affectionately labeled as 'weird' for years. Portland is one of the most unique metropolitan epicenters in the country.
'The City Of Roses' is well-known to be a haven of progressive liberal ideals, food trucks, and artsy, creative types. It has a world-class food scene and some picture-perfect scenery. And if you're a beer lover, you'll find some of the best microbreweries in the US on this side of the continental divide.
Despite what you might have heard, Portland is far from a dangerous city, and no, rioters haven't successfully burnt it to the ground.
In fact, Portland is a city with rich and colorful culture. Portlanders certainly know how to have a good time – and as you'll learn by watching this video, they make a pretty phenomenal doughnut as well. And regardless of your age, interests, and political affiliations, there is something for just about everyone in this eclectic Pacific Northwestern city.
