Tourism experts contend that the state's uniqueness and strategic location in northeast India give Nagaland an advantage in tapping into the tourism sector for economic growth. The state has been extremely successful in promoting the great Hornbill Festival, which attracts Indian and foreign tourists alike. The key thrusts of Nagaland's tourism are its rich culture, showcasing of history and wildlife. Tourism infrastructure is rapidly improving and experts contend this is no longer an issue as was in the past. Local initiatives and tourism pioneers are now beginning to promote a socially responsible tourism model involving the participation of the councils, village elders, the church and the youth.

Yikhum Village in Wokha District of Nagaland
This is Yikhum village in the Wokha District of Nagaland. Wokha is a town and a town area committee in Wokha district in the Indian state of Nagaland.
Kohima is the hilly capital of India's north eastern border state of Nagaland which shares its borders with Burma.
It lies in Kohima District and is one of the three Nagaland towns with Municipal council status along with Dimapur and Mokokchung.
Kohima is the land of the Angami Naga tribe. The name, Kohima, was officially given by the British as they could not pronounce the Angami name Kewhima or Kewhira (Tenyidie for the land where the flower Kewhi grows).
It is called after the wild flowering plant Kewhi, found in the mountains. Earlier, Kohima was also known as Thigoma. Kohima is located south of Kohima District (25.67°N 94.12°E) and has an average elevation of 1261 metres (4137 feet).
The town of Kohima is located on the top of a high ridge and the town serpentines along the top of the mountain ranges as is typical of most Naga settlements.

Travel Vlog Shorts | Wokha, Nagaland | Beauty of Northeast India
I travelled a beautiful place called Doyang in the district of Wokha ( Nagaland ) . Short distance from Golaghat and Jorhat if you travel from Assam. Clean, twisty roads, scenery off the hills will make your ride so enjoyable... and above all, it's very budget friendly... You may need a pass to enter in Nagaland, which you can get at the entry gate for about 100 rupees.
Thank you for watching, please do like, comment and share 💕
