Canada Road Trip: Best Things To Do In The Yukon
In this video, we share some of the best things to do in the Yukon, including Whitehorse, Dawson, Kluane National Park, and more!
Welcome to the Yukon!
Known for its dramatic landscapes, vast wilderness, and the famous Klondike Gold Rush, the Yukon has been capturing people's imaginations for years. With four-legged creatures far outnumbering humans, Canada's tallest mountain peaks, and the world's largest non-polar glacier, the Yukon is a true paradise for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts.
We started our journey in Whitehorse, the Yukon's capital city. From here, we toured the SS Klondike, ate some delicious food in Whitehorse's oldest buildings, saw heaps of wildlife, and caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights. We then went to Dawson, the worlds most famous gold rush town. While walking around the old boardwalk streets was incredible enough, we also went gold panning, toured the massive dredge #4, watched a Cancan show at the oldest casino in the country, and took a river cruise on a paddle-wheeler. We then drove up the infamous Dempster Highway all the way to Eagle Plains, past the Arctic Circle and into the Northwest Territories. After coming back and spending another night in Dawson, we drove to Kluane National Park for one of the most epic flightseeing tours we've ever experienced.
We explored the Yukon from August 16 - September 6th, 2017!

Special Note: We just released the Canada Saver Card, a physical discount card that gets you discounts at a variety of attractions, adventures, and activities across Canada! From helicopter tours to rafting, fishing, museums, and horseback rides, save money on all of them for less than $30! -

10 REASONS WHY PEOPLE LOVE WHITEHORSE YUKON CANADA
This video will provide 10 REASONS WHY PEOPLE LOVE WHITEHORSE YUKON CANADA. These are not ALL the reasons why people love Whitehorse and if you have a reason why you love Whitehorse, put it in the comment section and I will make another video.
1. SS Klondike National Historic Site
2. Miles Canyon
3. Yukon Wildlife Preserve
4. The Northern Lights
5. Canoeing on the Yukon River
6. Midnight Sun
7. Takhini Hot Springs
8. Whitehorse Fishladder and Hatchery
9. Yukon Government Building
10. Horse Riding at Fish Lake
Whitehorse is the capital of northwest Canada’s Yukon territory. To the south are the basalt cliffs of Miles Canyon, site of a former gold rush town. From the canyon, the Yukon River Loop Trail winds north past the Whitehorse Fishway fish ladder toward the S.S. Klondike, a restored sternwheeler that once plied the Yukon River. North, the Takhini Hot Pools’ mineral springs offer views of the northern lights in winter.

Best Place in Canada Part 1 | Journeytion
Best Place in Canada Part 1 | Journeytion
1. Victoria and Vancouver Island
Victoria pays homage to the nation's British background while Montreal and Quebec City celebrate Canada's French heritage. For afternoon tea, a tour of the stunning Parliament Buildings, or an education in British Columbian history at the Royal British Columbia Museum, many people travel to the province's capital. Others are curious about visiting the wineries on Vancouver Island to try local wines. Animal lovers also enjoy the wide variety of marine life that resides in the seas near Victoria. In Victoria's seas, there are actually close to 80 orcas.
2. Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island is the place to go for a quiet break from Canada's more adventure-focused places. It is home to rolling green hills, red sandstone cliffs, and a great wealth of seafood (here is where PEI mussels originate from, after all). Golf holes on the island are a great place to practice your swing while you're not enjoying the beach.
3. Whitehorse
Whitehorse, the capital of Canada's Yukon territory, is known as the little city with a huge backyard and shines with all of its outdoor pursuits. Walk through Miles Canyon, which is reachable from Whitehorse (a nearly 10-mile loop trail connects the city directly to this natural wonder). Next, travel to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve in the north, where you can see a variety of wildlife, such as arctic foxes, elk, muskox, and bison. Even though this area is known for being extremely cold, you might want to plan your trip to coincide with the first few weeks of winter in order to see the northern lights.
4. Whistler
Visit Whistler to take your adventure vacation to the next level. This British Columbian vacation town offers everything from bungee jumping and bobsledding to skiing and snowboarding. While in Whistler Village, visitors can take in the après-ski scene, browse locally owned stores, or wander through Whistler Olympic Plaza. When it's warmer in town, tourists can explore Brandywine Falls Provincial Park, which is home to the 230-foot-tall waterfall that gives the park its name.
5. Mont-Tremblant
Mont-Tremblant, which lies in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, about 80 miles northwest of Montreal, is most renowned for its skiing, particularly the Mont Tremblant Ski Resort, which is situated on the mountain range's highest point. But its Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, which has six rivers, 400 lakes, and streams, in addition to innumerable hiking paths and beaches, enchants visitors in warm weather just as much. The area's varied terrain makes it a popular place for water sports, fishing, and mountain biking.
6. Gros Morne National Park
On the west coast of Newfoundland, this UNESCO World Heritage Site spans over 700 square miles of terrain. Hiking in the Tablelands is undoubtedly its most popular activity. You will be traveling through exposed earth mantle in this area, a rust-colored terrain produced by the clash of tectonic plates millions of years ago. Save some time for a boat ride on Western Brook Pond, a landlocked fjord with 2,000-foot cascading waterfalls that was sculpted out by glaciers.
7. Toronto
Toronto has the capacity to take guests everywhere in the world. Enjoy a trip up the 1,815-foot-tall CN Tower to take it all in, or visit the Hockey Hall of Fame for a really Canadian experience. When the weather is appropriate, explore the Toronto Islands after sampling gourmet goods at the St. Lawrence Market.
