Take a step back in time at Rogers Street Fishing Village & Museum for a tour of when Two Rivers was a major French fishing port. Tours are available year-round. See shipwrecks, Native American artifacts, a 1936 wooden fishing tug, and a 1886 historic lighthouse for yourself at
Taste another piece of history at the Historic Washington House, where the old-time saloon features Berners’ Ice Cream Parlor, commemorating the 1880’s invention of the ice cream sundae.
On to the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum to get a personalized tour from Dennis Ewert, who knows everything there is to know about printing, and why capital letters are called UPPER CASE. A tour filled with a fascinating wide range of printing presses and the wood type blocks that made headlines across the country.
After a full day of sight-seeing, Eric dines at Kurtz's Pub and Deli, a beautiful German restaurant that makes amazing sandwiches and has a rare and wonderful collection of imported beers. How do you drink a yard? According to Eric, lift up, lift out and enjoy!
The weekend isn’t over yet!
Wisconsin's sandiest beaches and beautiful lakeside hiking trails await at Point Beach State Forest. The sand dunes and Rawley Point Lighthouse, which has been around since 1894, makes it an absolutely beautiful morning hike.
Wrapping up the weekend at the coolest store on the lakeshore, famous kite shop Unique Flying Objects. Owner Chow Chong talks about Two River's Annual Kite Festival which draws over 25,000 people to enjoy the breezy beaches. With a store like this, who needs a Pink Floyd concert?

I grew up on The Oregon Coast north of Cannon Beach and south of Astoria in one of the best beach towsn of Seaside, Oregon, and its easily one of my favorite places in the whole world and is home to some of the most dramatic and beautiful coasts on earth from the giant sand dunes to the offshore rock stacks - it has it all. Since I grew up in Seaside and Cannon Beach (northern), I figured I would make this travel guide for exploring the Oregon Coast is very special to me. The Oregon Coast is part of the 7 wonders of Oregon, and even though I am biased, I think it's the best one ;) I've driven every mile of HWY 101 from California to Washington and I wish that I had explored more of every beach, rock stack hike along the Whole coastline, but I will travel Oregon for the rest of my life. There are many places to visit along the Oregon Coast, but so much conflicting information. This travel guide in 4K is an overview of my top 10 Places & Cities to visit along the whole Oregon Coast.

Manitowoc and Two Rivers – From Ship to Shore
In this episode of Discover Wisconsin, Mariah and Eric explore the wonders of Manitowoc and Two Rivers from sunken ship to stunning shore. Eric begins by learning about the history and industry of the rivers that flow through Manitowoc and Two Rivers. After exploring the Rogers Street Fishing Village in Two Rivers, he heads to Burger Boat Company to see what the historic company is up to today. He also meets up with some kayakers to do some paddling on the Manitowoc River.
Both the Manitowoc River and the East and West Twin Rivers eventually flow into Lake Michigan, which offers beauty and exploration above and below the surface. At the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc, Mariah talks with a marine archaeologist about the shipwrecks in the area, and the different ways visitors can learn about, and access the wrecks. We also get to know local producers at Pine River Dairy, who have been manufacturing butter in the area for more than 75 years. Eric then heads to Manitowoc’s Pinecrest Historical Village for their annual Pinecrest Plates event, which brings in local farmers and fantastic food for people to enjoy.
