The third largest city in Hungary, Szeged, lies south of the country, near the borders of Serbia and Romania. The city has a long history, dating back to medieval times. Since it was destroyed in the flood in 1879, most Szeged attractions you can enjoy today date to the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The Szeged of today has magnificent buildings, beautiful parks and squares, and is home to one of the best universities in the country. The city centre is a lovely place to walk, with wide pedestrianised streets lined with Neoclassical and Art Nouveau-style buildings. Szeged is also known as the City of Sunshine because it has the highest number of sunny days in Hungary. Since Szeged University is one of the most critical higher education institutions in Hungary, you can expect the large student population in the city and everything that comes with it: a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere, numerous cultural events, restaurants, cafes, etc.

This is my first video from an EU country, Hungary. I applied for a Schengen visa from England for the first time, which is something I have always avoided in my entire travel YouTube career. After preparing all of the application documents, we had to travel to Manchester to submit them and complete the biometrics in person.
Arriving in Budapest, I unfortunately came down with a horrible flu and a fever shortly after arriving in Budapest. It forced me to take a step back and focus on resting and recovering during my first week. Despite my best efforts, I struggled to film as even simple tasks left me feeling exhausted.
