PT// Desde a Pousada de Viseu, exploramos a pé a cidade de Viseu, onde destacamos a Praça da República, o coração da cidade, onde encontramos a Igreja dos Terceiros de São Francisco e o edificio da Câmara Municipal. Junto ao Jardim das Mães, podemos ver o magnifico Painel de Azulejos, que simboliza muito da cultura portuguesa. No centro histórico, a Rua Direita é de passagem obrigatória e é na Praça da Sé que encontramos a Sé Catedral, o Museu Nacional Grão Vasco e a Igreja da Misericórdia de Viseu.
Terminamos o passeio, com passagem no Teatro Viriato (um dos principais centros culturais da cidade), a Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição e o Mural de Viriato (um exemplo de arte urbana e uma das principais atrações da cidade).
EN// From the Pousada de Viseu, we explored the city of Viseu on foot, where we highlighted the Republic Square, the heart of the city, where we found the Church of the Third Order of Saint Francis and the City Hall building. Next to the Mothers' Garden, we can see the magnificent Tile Panel, which symbolizes much of Portuguese culture. In the historic center, Rua Direita is a must-see and it is in the Sé Square that we find the Cathedral, the Grão Vasco National Museum, and the Viseu Mercy Church.
We ended the tour with a visit to the Viriato Theater (one of the city's main cultural centers), the Church of Our Lady of Conception, and the Viriato Mural (an example of urban art and one of the city's main attractions).

🚍 Santa Comba Dão é uma cidade portuguesa do distrito de Viseu.

Entre os seus monumentos principais, contam-se:
-Igreja Matriz de Santa Comba Dão - datando do século XVIII, em estilo barroco, ostentando duas torres sineiras.
-Casa dos Arcos - solar ancestral dos Barões de Santa Comba Dão, visitada por D. Catarina Henriqueta de Bragança, Rainha Viúva de Inglaterra, Escócia e Irlanda, em 1692, por seu irmão o Rei D. Pedro II de Portugal em 1704 e pelo filho deste D. Manuel de Bragança, Infante de Portugal, Candidato a Rei da Polónia e Grão-Duque da Lituânia em 1738, como indica uma placa de mármore junto ao portão. No primeiro andar, encontra-se em funcionamento a biblioteca municipal e rés-do-chão um restaurante.
-Casa de Joaquim Alves Mateus - situada perto da Casa dos Arcos, datando originalmente de 1555, com reconstrução posterior no século XVIII, apresentando características arquitectónicas renascentistas e onde nasceu o cónego e orador que dá o nome à casa.
-Ecopista do Dão - conectando Viseu, Tondela e Vimieiro através uma ciclovia de 48 km (antiga Linha do Dão, encerrada em 1990).

PT// Na rota da Estrada Nacional 2, a paragem seguinte na cidade de Tondela, estacionamos o carro junto à Capela de Santa Eufémia, datada do século XVIII, uma pequena igreja em estilo barroco. A passear pelas pequenas ruas encontramos a Fonte da Sereia, Igreja do Carmo, o Memorial ao Saldado desconhecido e a Igreja Paroquial de Tondela, uma bela igreja em estilo gótico, que data do século XIII. Aqui, é possível ver as suas impressionantes abóbadas de pedra, vitrais coloridos e belíssimos altares.
EN// On the route of National Road 2, our next stop in the city of Tondela, where we parked the car next to the Chapel of Santa Eufémia, dating back to the 18th century, a small church in Baroque style. While strolling through the small streets, we came across the Fountain of the Mermaid, the Church of Carmo, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, and the Parish Church of Tondela, a beautiful Gothic-style church dating back to the 13th century. Here, it is possible to admire its impressive stone vaults, colorful stained glass windows, and beautiful altars.

PRIMEIRO VÍDEO DO VLOG DE PORTUGAL! Visitamos a cidade de Viseu e a Vila de Santar. Viseu é uma graça e fica a 1h30min de Porto. O centro histórico é fofo, tem as igrejas da Sé e da Misericórdia que precisam estar no seu roteiro, mas também indico só passear sem rumo pelas ruelas da cidade que tem uma beleza à parte. E na hora de jantar, fomos no restaurante DeRaiz que é uma experiência incrível, comida regional e familiar banhada a muito vinho! Depois exploramos a Vila de Santar, um lugarzinho encantador na região vinícola chamada Dão. Iniciamos o dia almoçando na vinícola Paço dos Cunhas de Santar, um edifício histórico de pedra recuperado pela Global Wines, rodeado de parreirais e jardins. Comemos muito e bebemos muito vinho. Após o almoço, visitamos um enorme jardim florido, que atravessa a vida toda com muitas cores e paisagismo. O lugar chama-se Vila Jardim de Santar e o passeio pode ser combinado com uma visita a um casarão familiar histórico e com uma degustação de vinhos da região.
Essa viagem foi organizada pela @cvcviagens e pelo @centerofportugal. Nosso voo foi de São Paulo até Porto no assento econômico comfort da @tapairportugal.

PT// A seguir a Tondela, visitamos Santa Comba Dão.
Esta pequena cidade faz-nos lembrar um presépio de Natal, começamos com a visita à Igreja Matriz de Santa Comba Dão, com uma impressionante fachada em pedra e bonitos altares no seu interior. Em seguida, fizemos uma pequena caminhada até o Miradouro do Outeirinho, com uma vista deslumbrante sobre o Rio Dão. E atravessamos a cidade, pelos Passadiços de Santa Comba Dão, até à ponte sobre a Ribeira das Hortas. No fim, o Pelourinho, um antigo monumento que simboliza a autonomia da cidade. Aqui, é possível apreciar a sua arquitetura impressionante e Câmara Municipal.

This small town resembles a Christmas Nativity scene. We started by visiting the Mother Church of Santa Comba Dão, with an impressive stone façade and beautiful altars inside. Then, we took a short walk to the Outeirinho Viewpoint, with a stunning view over the Dão River. We crossed the city, through the Santa Comba Dão Walkways, until we reached the bridge over the Hortas Stream. Finally, we arrived at the Pelourinho, an ancient monument that symbolizes the autonomy of the city. Here, it is possible to admire its impressive architecture and Town Hall.

Detached, 4 bedroom stone property in great location close to the town of Tondela, central Portugal
Detached, 4 bedroom stone property in a great location close to the town of Tondela, central Portugal. This lovely property comes with just over 4,000m2 of land, a stone barn and is sited at the end of a cul-de-sac. There are great views from the house and no close neighbours!
Access to the property is good via a country lane that leads to the driveway and off road parking area. The driveway has a calçada stone finish, which is common in this part of Portugal. Most of the land is to the south with the rustic stone barn to the north of the property. The house has 2 levels and a huge terrace area at the rear by the old stone well. The main living area is sited on the first floor and has a balcony with those great views.
Ground floor:
A pair of metal gates give access to the ground floor storage room. Here you will find the heat pump that heats the water for the kitchen and bathrooms and the central heating radiators. This area also houses the 'sit on' mower and other garden and household equipment. It here you can see the original local stone used to construct the property. To the side of the storage room is an open-plan entertainment area with its own kitchen and seating and has a granite paved floor. This is a great area to relax out of the hot summer sun and take in those superb views. Granite steps from here lead to the rear of the property and its very spacious terrace with lots of room for alfresco dining.
Fist floor:
There are 2 entrances to the 1st floor: The first entrance is via wooden double doors at the end of the corridor on the west elevation. The second is on the north elevation located on the rear terrace. This door opens onto an open-plan kitchen/diner and lounge (there is also 2nd lounge). The fully-fitted kitchen has painted wooden base and wall units, a central island and polished granite work surfaces. Opposite the kitchen area is a lounge with pellet burner fire to complement the central heating system, also an A/C wall unit. A door from the kitchen takes you to a central corridor that gives access to 2 bathrooms, one with bath and the other with shower unit, 4 double bedrooms (some of which have A/C units), a spacious second lounge and exterior terrace with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
Attic:
There is an access hatch in the first floor ceiling that opens to allow ladder access to the attic. The attic floor has been boarded to allow storage or could be converted for extra living space.
Exterior:
The land to the south of the property is flat and has pine, olive and various fruit trees and an area for a vegetable garden. There is a laurel hedge that divides the land from the huge calçada driveway, that wraps around two elevations of the house. The driveway ends where the path, with its low stone wall, leads up to the old rustic, stone barn. To the left of the barn at the rear of the house is a very spacious paved area with tables and seating for alfresco dining, or just relaxing taking in the great views! It is here you will find the well that supplies water to irrigate the land and gardens. This really is a special place where you can get away from the hustle and bustle and relax.
