1 - Loktak Lake / Sendra Island -
The largest fresh water lake in the country, Loktak Lake and the Sendra Island on it, are one of the most beautiful attractions of the state. Situated about 50 km from Imphal, Loktak Lake is situated in the valley of Imphal and is home to all the rivers and rivulets that run in the state of Manipur.
2 - Kangla fort -
The Palace of Kangla is an old palace at Imphal in the Manipur state of India. It was situated on both sides (western and eastern) of the bank of the Imphal River. But now it remains only on the western side of the bank. Only the ruins remain now. Kangla means dry land in old Meetei. It was the traditional seat of the past Meetei rulers of Manipur.
3 - Shree Govindajee Temple -
Shree Govindajee Temple is a Vaishnava temple. The largest Hindu temple in Imphal, it is located next to the palace of the former rulers of the then Manipur Kingdom. The temple is simple in design with two gold plated domes, a paved court and a large, raised mantapa, or congregation hall. The central chamber of the garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) has the main deity of Govindaji, stated to be the incarnation of Lord Krishna, and his consort Radha.
4 - IMA keithel market -
Ima Keithel (Mother's Market), also known as Ima Market or Nupi Keithel (Women's Market) is a market run exclusively by women in Imphal, India.[1][2] It is a commercial center and a popular tourist attraction in the state of Manipur.[3] It has shifted its location within the city of Imphal over the years and is currently located in Khawairaband Bazaar.[4] It was established in the 16th century and hosts around 5,000–6,000 women vendors who sell a variety of products.
5 - INA museum -
The Indian National Army (INA) War Museum in the INA Memorial Complex in Moirang is the only official museum dedicated to the Second World War in Manipur today. Its focus is primarily on the rise of the INA and on the role and activities of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in particular. Relics of war from across Manipur dating back to 1944, including arms and ammunition, bayonets, helmets and bottles, among others, are also displayed here.
6 - Manipur zoological garden -
One can spot rare varieties of birds and wild life here... North east is endowed with all the rare wildlife that can not be spotted elsewhere in India.
7 - Iskcon Temple -
ISKCON Imphal – Sri Sri Radha Krishna Chandra Temple, is situated close to the banks of the Imphal River. Featuring a unique architecture, the structure of this temple is made using bricks that are coated with white cement. This gives the impression that the shrine is built of white marbles. Adding to its exclusivity is the dome-shaped roof with beautiful paintings, depicting various pastimes of Lord Krishna.
8 - Singda dam -
The highest mud dam in the world is the Singda Dam. Singda, located 16 km from the capital city of Imphal, is located at a height of about meters above sea level. It is a popular picnic spot, with its scenic views, and relative calm.
9 - Imphal war cemetery -
The Imphal War Cemetery is located in Imphal, the capital of the Indian state of Manipur, in Northeast India, which has an international border with upper Burma (now Myanmar). The cemetery has 1,600 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
10 - Matai garden -
Matai Garden, located about 8 km away from the town of Imphal, is also known as Ibudhou Asheiningthou Garden. Matai is one of the local Gods and has been derived from the word Ibudhou Asheiningthou. The Garden is located in Matai, East Imphal district.

Hiyangthang Lairembi Temple Complex[edit]

Shree Govindajee Temple[edit]
The temple was considered the apex of cultural activity during the reign of the Maharajas. Near the palace, it has two domes and a raised congregation hall.
