Au village Anba Nan Sab, commune de Tiburon, 17 oct 2016 : livraison organisée, sans encombre, de l'aide humanitaire transportée par le bateau hollandais Pelikaan et coordonnée par Oxfam. L'aide provenait principalement de la Hollande, Oxfam, Direct Relief a été confiée au CASEC de la localité, en présence des bénéficiaires. Avant, toute aide par voie terrestre était interceptée en amont à Tiburon.

Haïti est la première république indépendante de population majoritairement noire. C'est aussi le pays le plus pauvre d'Amérique latine. Pour répondre à ses besoins élémentaires, la population n'a eu d'autre choix que d'utiliser les arbres comme combustible, libérant par la même occasion des terres pour la culture, mais provocant une déforestation aux conséquences lourdes. Aujourd'hui, des zones de préservation des forêts permettent à l'île de protéger ses ressources. Survol de voiliers au bord de l'étang Saumâtre ou lac Azuéi se trouvant dans la Plaine du Cul de Sac.
