Short Intro of Thatta City of Sindh !!
The historic city of Sindh, Thatta is prominent in the Indus Valley. It has an ancient history and the city has the title of Bab-ul-Islam. Many signs and symbols of the ancient history of Sindh are found in this city.
Although the city of Thatta was founded by Jam Nizamuddin Nanda, historical references show that Thatta was inhabited long before that. The name Thatta is also found in the time of Muhammad Shah Tughlaq (1350 AD) before Jam Nizamuddin Nanda. Thattaabad had already taken place. Probably Jam Nizamuddin Nanda rebuilt and expanded the city during his reign. Due to which Jam Nizamuddin Nanda was named as the architect and founder of Thatta city.
Thatta is located near Kenjhar Lake. It is about 98 km or 60 miles east of Karachi. It is surrounded by barren, rocky and mountainous areas and swamps. Thatta district is located in the southernmost part of Sindh. The largest river in Pakistan, the Indus River, the Abasin River of the past, flows close to this city and falls into the Arabian Sea. Apart from the Sama dynasty, the city was ruled by the Soomras, Arghoons, Tarkhans and Mughals. On the 17th Samha Hakim Jam Nizamuddin II alias Jam Nando shifted his center from Debal (Bhanbhur) to Thatta. The first mausoleum in Mukli belongs to him, which has been built in a unique style. It is a fascinating masterpiece of Sindhi, Hindu and Rajasthan architecture that enchants the viewer. This city has been of great importance in the fourteenth century AD.
At that time it was not only the center of Islamic sciences and arts but also the capital of Sindh, which lasted for 95 years. Sultan Muhammad Tughlaq of Delhi also died in this city. From the fourteenth century till 1739, the government of Sama, Arghoon, Tarkhan and Mughal rulers remained here. However, in the Battle of Karnal in 1739, when King Nadir Shah of Iran defeated the Mughal King Muhammad Shah and occupied India, his government was established at Thatta, after which the city was completely neglected. Thatta is rich in historical heritage of Islamic architecture, one of the masterpieces of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.
