Travel to Semporna Sabah 🇲🇾 Malaysia (马来西亚沙巴仙本那旅游攻略) and this travel guide is about best things to do & stay in Semporna, Sabah.
1. Semporna Island Hopping Trip (仙本那跳岛游）
There is 3 island located at the Celebes Sea of Tun Sakaran Marine Park Semporna, Sabah.
Timba-Timba island (汀巴汀巴岛), the first island will stop for around 20 minute for stroll, it took 1 hour boat ride from Semporna town to this island. Here you can snorkelling in the pristine crystal clear sea water, spot so many starfish, seashells and many sea creature etc.
2. Mataking Island (马达京岛),
Mataking island Semporna will be stop here for about an hour for lunch and you can stroll around the beautiful island, there is pulau small & big Mataking island. When the sea is lowtide, it will be happen sky mirror, named after its mirror-like reflection of the sky, it is definitely is place for taking Instagrammable photo.
3. Pom Pom Island (邦邦岛),
Pom Pom Island Semporna will only be stop for the snorkelling 🤿 , it has so much sea coral and sea creatures to see, you can spotted sea turtles as well.
4. Sky Water Villas Resort Semporna (乐天水上度假屋),
Staying at Sky Water Villas newly build water chalet in Semporna. The resort do provide full board meal (breakfast , lunch, afternoon brunch and dinner) with seafood, so many hotel facilities for you to enjoy such as snorkelling gear, kayaking, table pool and night 🎤karaoke.

Tawau (Malaysian pronunciation: [ˈta wau], Jawi: تاواو, Chinese: 斗湖; pinyin: dǒu hú) formerly known as Tawao, is the capital of the Tawau District in Sabah, Malaysia. It is the third-largest city in Sabah, after Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan. It is located on the Semporna Peninsula in the southeast coast of the state in the administrative centre of Tawau Division, which is bordered by the Sulu Sea to the east, the Celebes Sea to the south at Cowie Bay[note 1] and shares a border with North Kalimantan, Indonesia. Explore Tawau Hills Park Day Trip | Ada banyak nature RARE kat sini
Disebabkan nak tengok pokok tinggi tu, kitaorang lupakan hasrat snorkeling di Semporna. Maybe next time okay laut Sulu kita berjumpa.
So esoknya kitaorang menuju ke Tawau Hills Park. Sampai sana pukul 9 pagi. Masuk ke situ bayaran RM3 seorang. Serius harga ni sangat berbaloi compare dengan apa yang ada dalam ni tau.
Sebab tempat ni luas gila dan banyak benda boleh buat. Kitaorang yang start jalan dari pukul 9 pagi, keluar pukul 3 petang pun tak dapat cover semua kawasan dia.
Itupun dengan selamba kitaorang hanya bawa air dan kuih je. Confident keluar awal hahaha.
Mari Tim ringkas apa yang ada di sini ;
1. Sulfur Hotspring
Dia actually sungai kecil yang lalu kawasan ada sulfur. So tindakan air dan sulfur sebabkan air tu jernih dan warna air turqoise jernih.
Air nya boleh mandi cuma tak boleh minum. Masa kitaorang datang, air tak la panas sangat. Cuma lebih suam dari air sungai kat sebelah dia.
200 meter dari kawasan situ dah boleh bau sulfur yang kuat. Tu petanda dah nak sampai la tu.
Pepokok kawasan sini cantik weh. Siap dengan pokok fern besar gabak, lumut dan terasa macam berada di tempat lain.
Kitaorang ambil masa 2 jam untuk ke sini dengan pace santai bersalaman dengan kumbang, labah-labah dan cendawan yang ada di sepanjang trek.
Boleh bilas badan di air sungai kat sebelah je lepas mandi air sulfur tu.
2. Pokok tropika tertinggi
Rupanya pokok tropika tertinggi di dunia adalah jenis Shorea atau Seraya Siput Kuning.
Pokok ni banyak di Tawau Hills Park, Danum Valley dan beberapa tempat di Borneo.
Pokok yang kitaorang pergi ni, tinggi dia 88.32 meter tau.
Kat Danum Valley ada lagi banyak. Ada yang tinggi lebih 100 meter dan lebih 50 pokok di Danum Valley.
Kalau tak silap Tim, ada 2 pokok Seraya Siput Kuning di kawasan Tawau Hills Park yang digazetkan tinggi lebih 85 meter ke atas.
Dari hotspring, kami ambil masa sejam nak ke simpang Y menuju ke pokok ni.
Dari simpang, trek terus bertangga dan memanjat dalam 30 minit. Kemudian menurun baru sampai ke pokok Seraya Siput Kuning.
Punya besar pemeluk pokok ni sampaikan kami nampak kerdil je bila bergambar dengan pokok ni.
3. Taman Botani
Dari simpang Y ke Taman Botani ni dekat je. Dalam 5 minit dah sampai.
Cuma untuk masuk ke sini ada tambahan bayaran RM4 sekepala.
Cuma Tim pesan, kalau kalian jenis tak appreciate pokok dan tak tahu jenis pokok, tak perlu masuk ke sini sebab akan rasa bosan hehe.
Macam kitaorang bertiga, memang teruja la masuk. Boleh tengok Begonia liar hidup camana. Lagi-lagi yang warna hitam hidup melata atas tanah.
Geram je rasa nak bawa balik. Namun kena hormatlah kawasan ni. Sebarang penyeludupan haiwan atau tumbuhan akan didenda sehingga 50k. Gitu pesan abang renjer pada kami.
Puas la masuk Taman Botani tengok halia hutan, orkid hutan, jenis-jenis keladi dan pelbagai jenis pokok herba yang lain.
4. Table Waterfalls
Air terjun ni kecil je, berada dekat dengan kaunter masuk. Tapi air dia jernih dan suasana dia cantik.
Cuma air terjun ni hanya untuk ambil gambar sebab bahaya kalau mandi. Ada pusaran deras di bawah.
Selain 4 tempat kat atas yang kami pergi, ada banyak tempat lain tau boleh pergi.
Cuma kami takdan la nak cover semua. InsyaAllah lain kali.
Benda lain yang ada seperti
5. Galas waterfalls
Ni paling jauh, ambil masa 3 jam dari pondok daftar untuk ke sana. Geram je kitaorang tengok signboard tapi tak dapat pergi. Sobs
6. Boleh hiking Gunung Lucia, Magdalena dan Maria
Untuk cover 3 gunung ni, kena hiking 5H4M. Ada hostel dan campsite untuk bermalam.
Hutan sini mesti rare dan unik kan?
Okay, ni macam dah ada target lain je lepas ni bila datang Tawau haha.
Benda lain kena standby:
i. Pakai kasut. Kitaorang underestimate trek dia so pakai lah selipar. Lagipun kasut dah packing dalam beg nak bawa naik flight.
Jadi lauk la kaki kitaorang dengan pacat haha. Lepastu trek dia berakar, berlecak dan berbatu. Memang tak selamat pakai selipar.
Tim sendiri pun selipar putus masa nak ke hotspring. Merana gak hiking dengan selipar putus sebelah.
