This is the place of residence for the Jams of Sanghar who ruled the Province of Sindh with Thatta as the Capital. Keejhar Lake, also known as Kalri Lake, is a large freshwater lake located in the Thar Desert of Sindh province, Pakistan. It is situated about 22 kilometers west of the city of Thatta and covers an area of approximately 132 square kilometers, making it the largest natural lake in the province.

The lake is an important source of water for irrigation and agriculture in the surrounding areas, and it also supports a variety of fish species. It is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, who come to enjoy boating and fishing, as well as to observe the local flora and fauna.

Hadero Lake - Thatta District - Sindh - Pakistan

Hadero Lake is a natural lake in a shallow depression located in Thatta District, Sindh.
It has a surface area of 1,321 ha (5.10 sq mi) and is located on the edge of a stony desert, about 85 km to the east of Karachi.
It is an important brackish wetland, where waterfowl occur. It is considered one of the favourite lakes of ornithologist.
Among the fauna except than fishes, waterfowl occur in large numbers and include swans, storks, cranes and feeding flocks of pelicans. Also, waders and cormorants are common.
The lake was initially declared a Game Sanctuary under Section 15 of the West Pakistan Wildlife Protection Ordinance 1959 in 1971.
In 1977 it was declared as Wildlife Sanctuary under a notification by Government of Sindh.
At the time of declaration of the protected area local people were allowed to catch fish from lake, but had no right to disturb the birds in the winter season.
It was initially protected for shooting purpose in 1971 but keeping in view its potential and birds varieties ultimately it got the status of wildlife sanctuary.
Because of its fish resources, local fishermen were allowed to catch fish for their livelihood. The lake is owned by the Government.
For regular monitoring of wetland resources, the Sindh Wildlife Department has provided a facility of residential quarters for sanctuary staff, which consists of one Sanctuary Assistant, and six Game Watchers.

Keenjhar Lake is located in Thatta District, Sindh province of Pakistan. It is situated about 36 kilometres from the city of Thatta. It is the second-largest fresh water lake in Pakistan and an important source of drinking water for Thatta District and Karachi city. Keenjhar lake is famous due to fresh sweet water and it is named after Keenjhar, father of Noori a girl belonged with fishermen community. Sufi poet of Sindh, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai had made poetry on love story of the girl on Jam Tamachi king fall in love and married with her. Keenjhar Lake Resort is situated at Keenjhar lake, Thatta, Sindh, Pakistan operated by the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation. The resort is developed on the bank of Keenjhar lake, which is ideal place for winter migratory birds come from regions of North Asia in winter season.

The Shah Jahan Mosque (Badshahi Moaque) was built in the reign of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It is located in Thatta, Sindh province, Pakistan.This mosque was built in 1647 during the reign of Mughal King Shah Jahan, also known as the builder King.The mosque has overall 93 domes and it is world’s largest mosque having such number of domes.
In the town of Thatta (100 km / 60 miles from Karachi), this mosque is famous as Shahjahani Mosque with its beautiful architecture.
