Bantayan Island has opened its doors for tourist and of course safety precautions has been observed as COVID still exists. You cannot immediately travel to Bantayan Island without securing a QR code from any of the accredited accommodations. The QR code and booking confirmation is an essential thing you shouldn't miss upon entering the Island.

Beach Bumming at Kota Beach and Sandbar in Bantayan Island Cebu Philippines
Kota Beach and Sandbar Resort is one of the few resorts in Sta. Fe Bantayan Island Cebu Philippines. Kota Beach is in F. Duarte Street Sta. Fe and 2.3 km away from The Ruins (one of the tourist spot) or about 9 minutes via C. Batiancila Street.
It has a stretch of sandbar and one of the nicest shoreline in Bantayan Island and even special at night when you want to do stargazing or plan a milky way photoshoot.
* Insider Tip: You don't need to check in the resort, there is a small road (trisikad drivers or locals knew) between Kota Beach and Marlin Beach that the public can enter to enjoy the shoreline (even at night time) to witness the majestic view of the sky.
We initially tried to get an accommodation here but it was fully booked, nonetheless we spared time (and it was also part of few land tour locations we have commissioned) to visit.
It is popular among beach goers during summer time so it does get crowded, so book your stay way early and just have an open mind to enjoy the place and take lots of pictures for memories.
* FUN FACTS - Did you also know that it was known as Camp Sawi where the movie of the same title was filmed and some parts in Bantayan Island tourist spots ( like The Ruins).

Here's our 2022 New Year Tour of Bantayan Island from December 30, 2021 to January 2, 2022. I hope this video will help those who have plans of visiting the lovely island. We stayed at CouCou Bar, Hotel & Resto. It is perfectly located for both business and leisure guests in Bantayan Island. Free Wi-Fi in all rooms, 24-hour front desk, and 24-hour room service.
The place we stayed is just 3-5mins walk going to MJ Square and a lot of bars and restaurants. Is also very near the market, ATM and drugstore. I always love locations like this where everything we need esp in case of emergency is just around us. It is also just 3-5min drive to the beach. Super near 😊
We visited The German Ruins, Panyang Beach, Yooneek Beach, Sandira Beach or Paradise Beach and out last stop was Obo-Ob Mangrove garden.
For me, the best thing about this travel is I'm with my family. Nothing will really complete and beat the beautiful memories created with your family.
Again, it's just us filming and documenting.
