The Shambles is one of York’s oldest and most fun streets. Before York was York, it was Jorvik – the heart of the Viking dominion in England. The city was captured in 866 AD and remained under Norwegian control until 1066 AD. It combines archeological finds with dioramas, making it one of the more fun and immersive museums in York. The center also organizes the Viking Festival every February, which goes a step further and brings the dioramas to life. York has been a walled city since Roman times (about 71 AD), but the striking stone walls surrounding the city center today were mostly built between the 12th to 14th centuries, around the same time as York Minster. The gatehouses (or “bars”) are especially impressive – particularly Micklegate Bar, to the south. Be careful on rainy days, though, as the stones are very smooth from the many feet which have come before yours.

Stonegate is a well-established neighborhood in Parker, conveniently located between Parker and I-25, perfect for any commuter who still wants to live in a neighborhood. Stonegate offers classic homes with plenty of open space, parks and amenities. This neighborhood also offers an incredible community clubhouse and pool.
Where is Stonegate?
Stonegate is located 4 miles from Downtown Parker. A perk of living in Stonegate is the minimal commute times due to the neighborhood’s close proximity to I-25 and E-470. Commute to the Denver Tech Center is just 15 minutes – Downtown Denver about 25.
There are three major hospitals in proximity to Stonegate. The closest hospitals are Parker Adventist Hospital, about 10 minutes away in Parker and Sky Ridge Medical Center, also located about 10 minutes way in Lone Tree. Castle Rock Adventist Hospital is also located approximately 20 minutes away in the Meadows in Castle Rock. All three hospitals are relatively new and considered among the best in the Denver Metro area.
What is the history of Stonegate?
Stonegate began in the 1980’s by Ryland Homes and David Weekly and was completed recently. This neighborhood is so spacious there is a ‘north’ and ‘south’ side, although they are both considered Stonegate and have access to all the neighborhood amenities.

Stonegate is located in the acclaimed Douglas County School District, which is one of the top school districts in the nation. A great perk of living in Stonegate is the close proximity to the neighborhood schools. The elementary school is Pine Grove Elementary and is located in the Stonegate neighborhood. The middle School (Junior High) is Sierra Middle School. And the high school is Chapparal High School located just 1 mile away. Additionally, there are several wonderful private schools within commuting distance, including Ave Maria Catholic School, Lutheran High School, Southeast Christian School and Regis Jesuit High School.

大瀬崎（おせざき）は伊豆半島の北西端から駿河湾内に突き出した半島で、海越しに富士山を望む名勝地として古くから知られています。伊豆半島北部を通る県道沿いにビューポイントがあり、駿河湾に突き出した大瀬崎と共に雄大な富士山が望めます。
■伊豆 長浜城 ( 11月中旬～下旬 )

薩埵峠（さったとうげ）は、静岡市清水区由比町にある絶景の峠で、「富士見三峠」（ふじみみつとうげ）の一つに数えられます。眼下にJR東海道本線・国道1号・東名高速道路が通り、駿河湾の大海原の彼方にそびえる富士山の絶景が広がります。
■日本平 ( 11月中旬～下旬 )
日本平（にほんだいら）は、静岡県静岡市の駿河湾沿いにある丘陵地で、標高307ｍの有度山（うどやま）の山頂およびその周辺一帯を指します。駿河湾の彼方にそびえる富士山の眺望が見事で、「日本観光地百選」の第1位にも輝いた国内随一の景勝地です。
■井川高原 富士見峠 ( 11月中旬～下旬 )
井川高原 富士見峠（いかわこうげん ふじみとうげ）は、その名の通り富士山が展望できる峠で、尾根沿いに遊歩道が整備され、トレッキングを楽しめます。南アルプスの峰々や眼下に井川湖も望める絶景の展望地です。
■八ヶ岳南麓高原 ( 11月上旬～下旬 )
八ヶ岳の南麓に広がる標高約700m?1300mの高原地域は、富士山、南アルプス、八ヶ岳の大パノラマが望めるエリアです。「三分一湧水」（さんぶいちゆうすい）や「富士見坂」など、代表的な富士山のビューポイントをご紹介します。
■昇仙峡 ( 11月中旬～下旬 )
昇仙峡（しょうせんきょう）は、甲府市の北方に位置する峡谷で、「日本の紅葉百選」に選定されています。昇仙峡ロープウェイで山頂展望台に登ると「パノラマ台」があり、昇仙峡の巨岩や峡谷を見下ろせるほか、はるか彼方に富士山や南アルプスの大パノラマが広がります。
■竜門峡 ( 11月上旬～下旬 )
竜門峡（りゅうもんきょう）は山梨県甲州市の日川渓谷にあるハイキングコースで、渓流に沿って、歩きやすい遊歩道が整備されており、富士山と紅葉が見られる絶景ポイントもあります。
■岩殿山 ( 11月上旬～下旬 )
岩殿山（いわどのさん）は山梨県東部の大月市近郊にある標高634ｍの山で、山頂・山腹から富士山を望む絶景の山として知られます。険しく切り立つ、巨大な岩盤が露出した山容が特徴で、戦国時代にはその地形を活かした岩殿山城が築かれました。
■高尾山 ( 11月中旬～下旬 )
高尾山は、東京都の多摩地域（八王子市）にある標高599ｍの山で、「日本の紅葉百選」に選定されています。高尾山の山頂は展望が開けており、東側には東京都心部が、南東方面には横浜市街や東京湾と房総半島も望め、さらに南西方向には「富士山」も望めます。
■六道山公園 ( 11月中旬～12月上旬 )
野山北・六道山公園（のやまきた・ろくどうやまこうえん）は、東京都北部にある森林公園で、東京都内にある富士山の絶景ポイントの一つでもあり、山頂展望台に登れば、富士山や東京都心部のビル群も見えます。
■多摩湖 ( 11月中旬～12月上旬 )
多摩湖（正式名称「村山貯水池」）は、東京都東大和市の狭山丘陵に造られた人造湖で、ダムの堰堤がある北東岸からは富士山が望め、湖畔の紅葉も素晴らしく「日本の紅葉百選」に選定されています。
■狭山湖 ( 11月中旬～12月上旬 )
