Most beautiful metro in Saint Petersburg, Russia: ALL STATIONS (purple line)
In IGOR in Russia: Metro edition series I'll visit every metro station on every line in Saint Petersburg. Purple metro line is the latest and most modern metro line in St. Petersburg!
Metro is the most convenient way to travel in Saint Petersburg. It costs around 45 rubles (0,6 euros, 0.8 dollars) per trip, the trip ends by exiting the station you need to get off at.
To travel you can buy a token, buy Podorozhnik travel card (load money on it) or pay with your phone at the gate's readers. When entering, if you're carrying a bigger bag, it will be screened for safety reasons. You can hop on and hop off on as many stations you like without exiting the station (some last stations require you to exit the station, you will have to buy a new ticket to get back on in this case).

Travel to Hermitage Museum, Russia ✈
The State Hermitage Museum is a museum of art and culture in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The second-largest art museum in the world, it was founded in 1764 when Empress Catherine the Great acquired an impressive collection of paintings from the Berlin merchant Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky. The museum celebrates the anniversary of its founding each year on 7 December, Saint Catherine's Day. It has been open to the public since 1852. It attracted 4,956,524 visitors in 2019, ranking it eighth among the most visited art museums in the world. Its collections, of which only a small part is on permanent display, comprise over three million items (the numismatic collection accounts for about one-third of them), including the largest collection of paintings in the world. The collections occupy a large complex of six historic buildings along Palace Embankment, including the Winter Palace, a former residence of Russian emperors. Apart from them, the Menshikov Palace, Museum of Porcelain, Storage Facility at Staraya Derevnya, and the eastern wing of the General Staff Building are also part of the museum. The museum has several exhibition centers abroad. The Hermitage is a federal state property. Since July 1992, the director of the museum has been Mikhail Piotrovsky. Of the six buildings in the main museum complex, five—namely the Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage, and Hermitage Theatre—are open to the public. The entrance ticket for foreign tourists costs more than the fee paid by citizens of Russia and Belarus. However, entrance is free of charge the third Thursday of every month for all visitors, and free daily for students and children. The museum is closed on Mondays. The entrance for individual visitors is located in the Winter Palace, accessible from the Courtyard.

On April 17, 2019, the Costume Gallery in The Staraya Derevnya Restoration and Storage Center opened after the restoration and storage work. Open storage appeared to the visitors in an updated form.
Open storage - which is primarily a storage facility for the costume - involves the periodic changing of exhibits. This is due to the fact that some things are tired of being on the mannequins, some must be sent to exhibitions, and some have been transferred to restoration. 1.5 years after the opening of the storage, it was decided to rotate. The updated Costume Gallery shows about 250 sets, which give an idea of the line of development of the costume from the end of the 17th to the 21st century and are united by a common theme - dress to go. The changes also affected those things that are exhibited in the Theater of Tapestries and in the open storage of Russian furniture.
The Hermitage possesses one of the most famous costume collections in the world. Its main part is made up of materials from the late 17th - 21st centuries, which are stored in the Department of the History of Russian Culture (OIRK) and reflect the development of European fashion. Among the more than 24,000 exhibits are the vestments of priests, ceremonial costumes of the Russian Imperial Court and traditional clothes from different provinces of the Russian Empire, military uniforms and ballroom toilets, livery costumes and home clothes, dresses for children and visiting costumes of townspeople, voyage chests and fans, hats, etc. shoes, Russian tapestries and folk embroidery. The collection includes works by leading fashion houses in Europe and Russia at the end of the 19th - the beginning of the 20th centuries: C. Worta, Maureen-Bossier, I. Chanso, J. Paken, N. Lamanova, O. Bulbenkova, A. Brizak, A. Ivanova $; as well as contemporary designers - Gucci, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Paco Rabanne, Stella McCartney, T. Parfyonova, L. Kiselenko, T. Kotegova, J. Chamalidi.

Hermitage - Old Village. Mechanical droshky by master Kuznetsov.

On Wednesday, the Hermitage will conduct an online tour of the Staraya Derevnya Restoration and storage centre and will tell about the unique droshky, the press service of the museum reports.
Experts will tell you about the droshky made by Yegor Kuznetsov, a talented mechanic of the Nizhny Tagil plant. A special measuring device was designed in the crew - a viscometer (odometer prototype) with several dials, which notifies with a bell about each verst passed.
Also, a mechanical organ with several pieces of music is mounted in the droshky. And the mechanism of the viscometer with six dials, and the organ, and the details of painting on the metal surface of the droshky we can see in all details, the museum says.
Spectators will be able to visit the Museum of Bridges. A museum has recently opened in the northern capital, which stores their models. The world's only and unique collection of bridge models has been formed by the Central Museum of Railway Transport for over 200 years.
We invite you to take a closer look at these grandiose structures. It's time to learn how bridges are arranged, what role they play in the life of St. Petersburg, what they can say about the history of Russia and how world engineering achievements have influenced them. On the tour you will see the most beautiful St. Petersburg bridges, learn stories of their creation, legends associated with them, and take a fascinating journey through time through the ages, - said in the message.
Architect Nikita Yavein will talk about the reconstruction project for the East Wing of the General Staff Building.
