Fox Chapel Community and Real Estate
In the wooded north hills of Pittsburgh, where streams meander across acres of park land, sits the exquisite residential borough of Fox Chapel. Generations ago, affluent residents of this area built grand manor homes that have withstood the test of time, and today, new wealth has established itself next to old.
Just 6 miles from downtown, this borough remains one of the most coveted places to live in the entire Pittsburgh metropolitan area, with amenities that include top-notch education and luxury living rivaled by none.
Covering nearly eight and one-half square miles, Fox Chapel is 100 percent residential -- with the exception of churches, private clubs and schools -- and is the wealthiest borough or township in the entire region. From the Shady Side Academy School founded in 1922, to the Field Club golf course -- a country club with undisputed grace -- Fox Chapel offers its residents the very best.
And that’s not all. Fox Chapel is the annual host to the PGA Senior Open, and it even boasts a yacht club along the Ohio River. Fox Chapel is also known for the residents who have called it home. From the Heinzes to the Carnegies, many of the most prominent families in Pittsburgh history have lived in Fox Chapel, in sprawling estates that still stand today.
Fox Chapel’s wooded hills, parkland, and residential developments with lot sizes that average one acre or greater are a valuable regional asset, and this area is a shining example of what can be done to preserve a rural atmosphere in the midst of urbanization. Its close proximity to the business and cultural hub of downtown Pittsburgh, as well as its award-winning school district, make Fox Chapel a premier community in which to live. Perhaps this is the neighborhood you've been looking for?

map of Tallahassee Florida
Tallahassee (/ˌtæləˈhæsi/ TAL-ə-HASS-ee) is the capital city of the U.S. state of Florida. It is the county seat and only incorporated municipality in Leon County. Tallahassee became the capital of Florida, then the Florida Territory, in 1824. In 2010, the population was 181,376, making it the 8th-largest city in the U.S state of Florida, and the 126th-largest city in the United States. The population of the Tallahassee metropolitan area was 385,145 as of 2018. Tallahassee is the largest city in the Florida Big Bend and Florida Panhandle region, and the main center for trade and agriculture in the Florida Big Bend and Southwest Georgia regions.
Tallahassee is home to Florida State University, ranked the nation's eighteenth best public university by U.S. News & World Report. It is also home to Florida A&M University, the fifth-largest historically black university by total enrollment.[6] Tallahassee Community College is a large state college that serves mainly as a feeder school to Florida State and Florida A&M. Tallahassee qualifies as a significant college town, with a student population exceeding 70,000.
As the capital, Tallahassee is the site of the Florida State Capitol, Supreme Court of Florida, Florida Governor's Mansion, and nearly 30 state agency headquarters. The city is also known for its large number of law firms, lobbying organizations, trade associations and professional associations, including the Florida Bar and the Florida Chamber of Commerce.[8] It is a recognized regional center for scientific research, and home to the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. In 2015, Tallahassee was awarded the All-American City Award by the National Civic League for the second time allahassee has an area of 98.2 square miles (254.3 km2), of which 95.7 square miles (247.9 km2) is land and 2.5 square miles (6.5 km2) (2.59%) is water.
Tallahassee's terrain is hilly by Florida standards, being at the southern end of the Red Hills Region, just above the Cody Scarp. The elevation varies from near sea level to just over 200 feet (61 m), with the state capitol on one of the highest hills in the city. The city includes two large lake basins, Lake Jackson and Lake Lafayette, and borders the northern end of the Apalachicola National Forest.
The flora and fauna are similar to those found in the mid-south and low country regions of South Carolina and Georgia. The palm trees are the more cold-hardy varieties like the state tree, the Sabal palmetto. Pines, magnolias, hickories, and a variety of oaks are the dominant trees. The Southern Live Oak is perhaps the most emblematic of the city.

Bay Shore Home For Sale - 917 Gardiner Dr

Hi, this is Glen Hagen, the listing agent commissioned to market and sell this fine property. I've taken the photos, wrote and narrated the script, and then produced the video you're about to see. I hope you enjoy it!
A rare opportunity for an expanded Ponderosa Ranch has come onto the market in Southwood Estates, the 1 acre development in West Bay Shore. With 11 rooms including 5 Bedrooms and 3 and 1/2 baths, there's over 3,600 sq' of living space awaiting you.
You first notice the cobblestone lined 2 car wide blacktop driveway leading up to the 2 car detached garage.
Prior to the garage, making a right at the Chinese maple, lies the brick pathway that meanders to the brick facade past lush landscaping.
Upon entry, you're immediately greeted by a cozy foyer with ceramic tile that continues throughout other areas of the house.
Off the right is your 1/2 bath.
Around the corner to your right is your formal living room, currently utilized as a child play area.
Opposite the living room is the traditional den currently used as an extra formal dining area.
Past this room is your lavish kitchen featuring granite counters and SS appliances including a 6 burner Viking range and a Sub-Zero Refrigerator.
Off the rear of the kitchen is your washer dryer, hidden by bi-fold doors.
Off the kitchen, is your traditional formal dining room with gleaming wood floors that continue into your great room.
This huge area with vaulted ceiling and high hat lighting is a bright expanse just waiting for those large get togethers with family or friends.
Travel past the living room and den up 1/2 floor to your Master Bedroom.
The huge master bedroom features a large walk-in closet, a double closet (pause) and a splendid master bath.
Adjacent the master Bedroom are two additional bedrooms and a full bath.
Travel up another 1/2 floor and you'll find 2 more bedrooms, your 3rd bath and a den that could be converted into a 6th bedroom if desired.
Traveling back downstairs, off the kitchen are sliders onto your trex deck with its adjacent brick patio, there's ample space here for summer fun and enjoyment.
Yes this home certainly has a lot to offer... Call for an appointment to view this property - today!
