we cover all tousit places in konkan and near by konkan.There are several places to visit in Konkan Coast owing to the long coastline along the beautiful blue azure waters of the Arabian sea. While Tarkali is famous for its golden sand beaches, Harihareshwar is known for its temple and rocky Harihareshwar Beach. The famous Ganpatipule, is well known for the Ganapati temple on the shore and also its beautiful beach. Konkan nature is to beautiful in mansoon. and having a best beach in konkan or konkan village . in konkon they celebrating a konkani ranmanus also.
Another tourist place in Konkan that is well known is Alibaug. The beautiful Alibag beach is popular amongst tourists. Alibaug also has few other beaches out of which Varsoli and Nagaon Beach are well known. The Kolaba/Aligarh Fort also attracts tourists. Another must visit place in the Konkan Coast is Ratnagiri, famous for the Thiba Palace and also Ratnadurg Fort.
Tourists also love visiting Chiplun where the star attraction is Sawatsada Waterfall. Other popular places to visit on the Konkan coast are Dapoli, Murud, Kashid etc. Most of these places are also known for the water sports they offer to the tourists.

Exploring the Shirgaon Village| Shirgaon Beach | Palghar | Maharashtra tourism | RoundTripwithAshish
Shirgaon beach is located in Shirgaon village in Palghar. It is a very clean beach and attracts less crowd. Hence it is very peaceful here.
Shirgaon fort is currently closed due to restoration work being undertaken to save the fort.
We went for a short ride to explore this beautiful place. Hope you like it.

This fort is in very good condition. The outer walls, steps, parapets, bastions etc. in solid masonry are in excellent order and worth seeing. The fort is located in the Shirgaon village. This fort was built during Yadava of Devgiri in 1225 A.D.[1] This fort was under the Gujarati Musalman rulers in 1432, followed by the Bahamani Dynasty. After the defeat of Bahamani dynasty, the fort was under the Ahmednagar Sultanate for a short period. All the forts close to Vasai fort were won by Portuguese in 1520-1533. In November 1737 Maratha army tried to capture the fort but, retreated in December 1737. After the siege of Vasai fort, Maratha army captured the fort on 22 January 1739.[2] The Marathas repaired the fort in 1772. The Fort was captured by British in 1818.The nearest town is Palghar which is 109km from Mumbai. The base village of the fort is Shirgaon. There are good hotels at Palghar and Shirgaon. The Fort is rectangular in shape.well this fort is open every day from morning 9 to 5 in evening. do take care of your self while moving around bushes and cracks of the wall. you might find reptiles and insects .if you are lucky enough.

Shirgaon Lake is situated in Virar East and is easily accessible through public transport. This is a cool place to hang out with friends and family.
If you can swim well, then do take a nice dip in the refreshing water. After all, nothing is more refreshing than open water swimming :))
Even if you do not know to swim, this place has so much to offer. Just sitting by the serene lake and gazing at the green mountains can be soul-soothing. One can also explore the nearby trails.

Palghar is District of Maharashtra, India.
Very beautiful place for one day picnic. Palghar is almost 110 km. away from the Mumbai city. The main attraction point in Palghar is the Shirgaon Fort. Small but beautiful.

Shirgaon lake is located in Kumbharpada, Virar. This place is close by from the NH8. To get to this place, we need to enter from Virar Phata.
This is a beautiful place to visit , although slightly deserted. It is advised to visit in groups to avoid any mishaps.
Also it is advisable not to swim in the lake water as there have been incidents people losing their lives.
Be there with your group of friends and enjoy the scenic views and calmness of the water.
