Malaysia | Sekeping Serendah Retreats | Glamping Trip | Glass Shed 1
Sekeping Serendah is a private retreat attempting to tread lightly on the land. The very transparent and open sheds celebrate the beauty of the natural environment surrounding them. The 10 sheds are intentionally kept basic and free from lavishness, set within a 5 acres tropical rainforest. They float gently over the forest floor beside a bubbling brook.
The sheds are seen more as ‘glorified tents’ to provide basic shelter for its inhabitants as they commune with the land.

Overnight in Malaysia Rainforest: Sekeping Serendah Retreat Glamping [Small Girl Big World]
This video will shows you my experience of overnight glamping at Malaysia Rainforest at Sekeping Serendah Retreat. Follow me explore the lush rainforest jungle during the day and night. Listen to the humming of the insects, the singing of the birds and the relaxing nature sound of the water flowing at the stream.
These hotel / retreat / homestay / theme hotel / jungle house or whatever you wish to call it is built in the middle of the lush Malaysian rainforest. Sun is hot in the equator country but the air is chill and refreshing due to abundance of tropical plants and trees.
You might getting worry of dangerous animal but rest assure this tropical rainforest retreat is perfectly safe. Though it will be a little unsafe if you overnight at this rainforest and you wander around the area as there is total darkness in the rainforest.
The jungle house provide very basic amenities for the glamping experience. The jungle house that I booked is called mud house in which I shows in detail in this video. There are others jungle house such as Glass House and The Warehouse in which I also bring you to explore in this video.
Also in the same area of this rainforest, about 5 minutes drive away from Sekeping Serendah Retreat, you can explore the natural Serendah Waterfall. Come here soak yourself and experience the chillness of natural water.

Lata Gapi Waterfall Serendah Ulu Yam Malaysia
Lata Gapi is an accesible waterfall in Ulu Yam near Serendah and in this video we show you exactly how to get there. It's literally a 1 hour walk with children and maybe less if you are running. It's pretty pristine too and when we were there on a friday, we were the only one there.

Serendah Town locate in Selangor State. It will take 45min driving from KL to Serendah. At Kampung Dato Harun there are plenty of coffee shop and food stall selling all kind of local foods. Mostly the traveler will come here for breakfast before continue their journey. We are heading to Bukit Tasek Serendah private camp site leaded by Captain Derek. He always organize camping trip to bring family and new beginner to go for camping.

After featuring Ulu Yam, Batang Kali and Kuala Kubu Baru, surely, I can’t leave out Serendah. FYI, Serendah has been an eye opener for me, not on food alone but the scenery is something else. If you do come here, do make it a point to check out Periji Tujuh Serendah. This Malaysian heritage is one of a kind. Sekeping Serendah is located near a sleepy one street town of Serendah, about an hour drive north of Kuala Lumpur.
Drive time from Serendah town to the retreat is about 5 minutes, meandering past 2 Orang Asli villages.

Sekeping Serendah consists of 10 sheds set within 5 acres of tropical rainforest.
