European Travel Adventure - Albania
We Continued our journey south towards Sarandë in Albania. Along the way we came across a quirky little parking area just before Kremenar which is on the west coast of Albania.
Here we met Johny and his wife who ran the small shop and Music store. Acording to Johny his music is the best in Albania, so we bought one of his CD's to listen to on our journey.

On the 5th day in Albania, the rain couldn't stop us from traveling. In Gjirokaster we had great experience at the Airbnb with Breakfast included and we explored Gjirokastra with it's museum. It would have been great to walk the streets of Gjirokaster but we had to a long drive to north ahead of us and we already spent some time in the evening yesterday. Anyway, this is the story of 5th road trip in Albania.

THE STRANGEST BRIDGE IN ALBANIA - 🇦🇱 : The Shushica river with the Ottoman bridge at Brataj Albania
IT: Il ponte Brati, oggetto di monumento culturale e protetto dallo stato, opera ancora oggi nel comune di Brataj, nel villaggio con questo nome vicino al fiume Shushica, a circa 48 km dalla città di Valona.
Di particolare interesse è la sua costruzione ad arco e soprattutto la resistenza del materiale che compone il ponte. È uno dei monumenti speciali, dove oltre al ruolo della vita di 6 secoli è in funzione.
Questo oggetto che ha servito gli abitanti di questa zona per molti secoli è stato valutato come un oggetto su cui opererebbe lo scudo del monumento culturale protetto dallo stato.
Brati Bridge ha due archi. Il grande spazio è la parte dove passa il fiume, mentre le altre parti sono finestre quando l'acqua soffia nella stagione invernale, l'acqua viene scaricata anche da questa parte. Il Brat Bridge è rimasto lì per 6 secoli.

Questo ponte risale al XVI secolo e si trova vicino al villaggio di Brataj. Funziona da più di 5 secoli. Come un ponte, collega entrambi i lati del fiume Shushica, l'antica strada delle Carovane con quella di Rrëza. È alto più di 9 metri e lungo circa 30 metri. Collega il villaggio di Brataj con la pianura di Brataj e Smokthina.

The Brati Bridge, object of a cultural monument and protected by the state, still operates today in the municipality of Brataj, in the village with this name near the Shushica River, about 48 km from the city of Vlora.

Dostanete se tam jak mikrobusem z města Shkoder, tak dnes i vlastním autem krásně po asfaltu 👍
POZOR! Ve vesnici už ten asfalt mizí! My to sice projeli i Rapidem, ale s odřenýma ušima 😬
Theth je součástí stejnojmeného národního parku a obkloupuje jej až dvoutisícové hory, pod kterými si člověk připadá, jako kdyby chodil po Nepápu ⛰️
🚶Je to taky výchozí bod na treky, kterých je tam nespočet a vy si tak můžete vychutnat krásu albánských hor na vlastní kůži.
🏕 Ubytovat se můžete v kempu, guest house nebo i ve čtyř hvězdě, ale nejlíp uděláte, když se ubytujete u nějaké babičky a ta vám přichystá i výborné místní dobroty pod nos 🧀
Jediný problém je, že díky nové asflatce proudí na místo čím dál tím větší počet turistů a ta autentičnost mizí, ale jako u ostatních podobných míst, tak i tady platí, že čím dřív Theth navštívíte, tím líp 🙏

In this video, I took a short trip outside the city center of Vlore, Albania, to discover the amazing city of Brataj. The park has soo much to offer for hikers, sightseers, photographers, or anyone who enjoys the natural wonders of the history of Albania. I was guided through this beautiful park with a local who showed me the upper and lower trails. The park surrounds the Vlore river, a spectacular aqua color that can be seen from high above the river banks.
