We take a short drive to the ghost town of San Severino, then take a boat along the coast from Palinuro. And end the day with some pats for Ettore and his son and a delicious dinner at the farm.

Vito Panzella vi porta alla scoperta di una località turistica meravigliosa definita da Cicerone: La Gemma del Mediterraneo. Sapri, ultimo comune a sud della provincia di Salerno, si trova all'estremo sud della Campania, a pochi chilometri dalla Basilicata, sul mar Tirreno, su una piccola pianura della costa che si affaccia sulla baia di Sapri, all'interno del golfo di Policastro che chiude a sud la costiera cilentana. Ammirata ed elogiata da numerosi viaggiatori del settecento e dell'Ottocento che ne apprezzarono la bellezza dei luoghi e la bontà della popolazione locale, è una delle principali mete turistiche europee. Sapri è nota soprattutto per la tragica Spedizione di Carlo Pisacane del 28 giugno del 1857, ricordata in versi dalla famosa poesia la “Spigolatrice di Sapri” di Luigi Mercantini. La città ha origini molto antiche e viene considerata il cuore del Golfo di Policastro.
