It is also famous worldwide for its delicious cuisine, its trendy fashion industry, luxury sports cars and motorcycles, diverse regional cultures and dialects, as well as for its beautiful coast, alpine lakes and mountain ranges (the Alps and Apennines). Nicosia Sicily walking tour 4k

Nicosia stands on the slopes of four cliffs on which the ruins of the medieval castle stand out. Nicosia, “City of S. Between the snows and the woods of the Madonie and Nebrodi, a hilly area that already fascinated the Arabs (Oppidum Sarracenorum), the Norman Count Ruggero I d'Altavilla and the Swabian Emperor Frederick II, creeps.
Ruggero repopulated Nicosia with Lombard people who gave the city a very particular Gallo-Italic dialect, still spoken by adults today. Federico II enriched the culture and art of the city. Nicosia was a state-owned city since the 12th century, possessing numerous fiefdoms and increasing its architectural and artistic heritage which, running through the Renaissance and the Baroque era, reaches up to the 19th century with the refined noble palaces of the city of 24 Barons .
