1️⃣ Pailón del Diablo/ Devil’s Cauldron
A 80 m waterfall, located in Baños de Agua Santa, is considered one of the largest waterfalls in Ecuador.
2️⃣ Cayambe Volcano
This is the 3rd highest volcano in Ecuador with a height of 5.790 masl.
3️⃣ Quilotoa Lagoon
Quilotoa is a water-filled crater lake, the 3 km (2 mi)-wide caldera was formed by the collapse of this dacite volcano following a catastrophic eruption about 800 years ago.
4️⃣ Mindo
Located in the province of Pichincha, about 80 km northwest of Quito. Mindo was recognized as “Bird Life” in America.
5️⃣ Galápagos Islands
Well, what can I say about this place?
Located at the confluence of three ocean currents, the Galápagos are a ‘melting pot’ of marine species.

Surrounded by mountains, 3.246 m of height, 13 km around the lagoon. You have so much space to take the best picture.
3️⃣ Peguche Waterfall
The Peguche waterfall is an indigenous ceremonial place where purification baths are performed. There are also hidden rivers and caves around.
4️⃣ Cotopaxi Volcano
Located in Latacunga city, it is the second highest summit in Ecuador, reaching a height of 5,897 m.
5️⃣ Atillo Lagoons
I have never seen such a peaceful place.
If you love adventure, you MUST come here.
This one is the farthest place of those that I mentioned to you before (if you travel from Quito), BUT it's worth visiting.

Teleferico is a gondola lift in Quito, Ecuador, running from the edge of the city centre up the east side of Pichincha Volcano to lookout Cruz Loma.
It is one of the highest aerial lifts in the world, rising from 3,117 m (10,226 ft) to 3,945 m (12,943 ft).
2️⃣ Condor Machay Waterfall
Located near the city of Sangolqui, this is one of the largest waterfalls in Ecuador with a height of 80 meters.
3️⃣ Yambo Lagoon
Located between the cities of Ambato and Latacunga. There's a story behind this place where dozens of people traveling on a train fell into its deep green waters more than 100 years ago.
The railway derailed and its passengers went to the bottom.
Some people claim that you can hear the sound of the train at night 😱.

How to Spend 10 Days in Ecuador - The Perfect Itinerary

Here’s my complete itinerary for Ecuador 🇪🇨.
Day 1- Teleferiqo (early morning) - take a bus to Mitad del Mundo (The Middle of The World).
Day 2- The big waterfall of Pita River - walk around Quito, market place, parks, etc.
Day 3- Hike to Cotopaxi volcano - spend the night at Hacienda Los Mortiños or Hacienda El Porvenir.
Day 4- Visit Quilotoa Loop
Day 5- Yambo Lagoon - Baños de Agua Santa, parties, night tour, walk around the city.
Day 6 & 7- Pailón del Diablo - The Swing at the End of the World, hot springs, zoo, zipline and rafting - Night bus to Riobamba.
Day 8- Chimborazo volcano (Highest point on Earth)
Day 9- Atillo lagoons, night tour in Riobamba.
Day 10- Back to Quito, fly back HOME!
If this is your first time traveling to Ecuador I recommend acclimate first before hiking the volcanos. Day 1 is perfect for that.
Remember to bring a variety of clothes, Ecuador's weather is very unpredictable, for this itinerary warm clothes are better.

People consider this one as magical (be careful though, it's very cold 🥶).
The Magic Waterfall of El Pita or “La Gran Cascada del río Pita” in Spanish, is located on the border between Quito and Rumiñahui.
Height of approximately 60 m and is born from the melting of the Cotopaxi and Sincholagua volcanoes.

Rumiñahui Turístico
El cantón Rumiñahui, ubicado a veinte minutos de Quito, ofrece atractivos turísticos únicos en el mundo que cautivan a los visitantes. La cascada del Pita, una de las más grandes de la zona con 60 metros de altura, es el lugar ideal para disfrutar y admirar la generosidad de la madre naturaleza.
Para quienes prefiere vivir la adrenalina al máximo, se puede practicar canopy y admirar el encanto natural que forma en su recorrido del Río Pita.
Otro atractivo natural del cantón es la cascada Cóndor Machay, que en kichwa significa Nido de Cóndor. Este salto de agua de 80 metros presenta en su trayecto hermosos y pintorescos paisajes. Cerca de la cascada se puede realizar paseos a caballo y practicar rapel.
Rumiñahui además es cuna de hábiles artesanos como Luis Pinargo, que en su taller Artesanías Pinargo, ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Sangolqui, elabora sombreros de varias formas y tamaños. En Artesanías Pinargo también se confeccionan trajes tradicionales que cada vez tienen más demanda entre la ciudadanía.
El desarrollo del turismo en Rumiñahui se complementa con una oferta hotelera de primera categoría. Hoteles y hosterías abren sus puertas a los turistas para que disfruten de un servicio de calidad mientras se deleitan con el paisaje inigualable de la Avenida de los Volcanes.
La variada gastronomía es uno de los componentes principales del cantón. Su plato estrella es el hornado cuya preparación y fama data de alrededor de cien años atrás.
El cuy asado es otro plato tradicional renombrado en Rumiñahui. Se lo puede encontrar en el sector de Selva Alegre, donde Blanca Umaquinga elabora este suculento platillo desde hace 35 años. El cuy asado se acompaña con papas cocinadas, salsa de maní, lechuga y tomate. El turista se puede refrescar con una deliciosa chicha de jora.

Una cascada mágica qué limpia el aura, visitada por varios shamanes en cada solsticio para realizar sus ceremonias, ubicada en el límite entre Quito y Rumiñahui (provincia de Pichincha) un paraíso, pequeñito pero fantástico.
La cascada tiene una altura aproximada de 60 metros, nace de los deshielos de los volcanes Cotopaxi y Sincholagua, es por esto que al entrar en sus aguas se siente el frío que llega hasta los huesos, pero a la vez da una sensación de paz y relajación.
Para llegar a la cascada se avanza hasta la estación de la Empresa de agua potable y se accede por un sendero de piedras volcánicas y vegetación propia del sector.
