I’d read reviews online that the country was a dangerous one, but I wanted to check it out for myself and find out just how bad its biggest city was.

El Salvador truly surprised us with its diversity! We thought after an amazing few days surfing around we couldn't get more excited, but we were wrong! Cinquera Nature Reserve (WAR history) El Salvador Travel Series. [S3-E60]

In this episode we visit the Cinquera Nature Reserve and learn about the war history of El Salvador.

Cinquera is located approximately 20 minutes drive from Suchitoto and the area was affected a lot by the civil war. It was very interesting and we got the opportunity to ask his questions and our tour guide Josue from Suchitoto Adventure Outfitters translated for us.

We hiked thought the jungle and learned about what life was like in the jungle and saw their hospital and a Vietnamese kitchen. We finished the tour visiting the town of Cinquera.
