FS ALe 642 is a class of Italian Electric Multiple Unit trains built at the beginning of the 1990s for use on secondary lines and for commuter traffic. Currently all units of this group are assigned to Emilia Romagna and Tuscany regional service divisions (DTR, Direzione Trasporto Regionale).

This class is strictly derived from the previous ALe 582 and ALe 724 EMUs, sharing most of the mechanical and technical characteristics. The main differences are in the electrical part (especially traction control and low tension circuitry) and for the presence of 2nd class only seatings. The frontal part containing cabins consists of a preformed structure made of polyester reinforced with fiberglass. They originally had the Navetta livery, painted in gray with orange and red lateral stripes; now they all have received the usual green-white XMPR livery.

Pisa is a city and comune in Tuscany, central Italy, straddling the Arno just before it empties into the Ligurian Sea. It is the capital city of the Province of Pisa. Although Pisa is known worldwide for its leaning tower, the city contains more than twenty other historic churches, several medieval palaces, and bridges across the Arno. Much of the city's architecture was financed from its history as one of the Italian maritime republics.

The city is also home to the University of Pisa, which has a history going back to the 12th century, the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, founded by Napoleon in 1810, and its offshoot, the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies.

While the bell tower of the cathedral, known as the leaning Tower of Pisa, is the most famous image of the city, it is one of many works of art and architecture in the city's Piazza del Duomo, also known, since the 20th century, as Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), to the north of the old town center. The Piazza del Duomo also houses the Duomo (the Cathedral), the Baptistry and the Campo Santo (the monumental cemetery). The medieval complex includes the above-mentioned four sacred buildings, the hospital and few palaces. All the complex is kept by the Opera (fabrica ecclesiae) della Primaziale Pisana, an old non profit foundation that operates since the building of the Cathedral (1063) to the maintenance of the sacred buildings. The area is framed by medieval walls kept by municipality administration.

The Class D.445 is a class of diesel locomotives used by the Italian Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) railway company and by Trenord. 150 units were built between 1974 and 1988, divided into three series.

The D.445 represented an evolution of the FS Class D.443 locomotive, maintaining the predecessor's reliability and operational capabilities. At the beginning of the 1970s FS, during a plan aimed at the expansion and modernization of current service. The first series of locomotives, introduced from 1974, were built with curved front windscreens which would be later replaced by cheaper and sturdier flat ones.

In 1979 a second series was ordered, fitted with the Italian standard 78 wire control equipment for use with driving carriages. At the end of the 1980s the whole group consisted of 150 units which allowed the retirement of the then old D.341 and D.342 locomotives.

1st series units originally had curved windscreens, replaced in the 1980s by flat glas, later used on 2nd and 3rd series units. Their maximum allowed speed is 130 km/h (81 mph). Like most FS stock, some D.445 have received the XMPR color scheme (white, green, blue).

1st series - The first series consists of 35 units (Numbered from 1001 to 1035), in green-over-Isabella brown livery.
2nd series - The second series has 20 units (Numbered from 1036 to 1055), in the Navetta orange/purple livery used by push-pull trains.
3rd series - The third series has 95 units (Numbered from 1056 to 1150), in the same push-pull livery as the 2nd series.

Cagliari (Sardinian: Casteddu) is an Italian municipality and the capital of the island of Sardinia, an autonomous region of Italy. Cagliari's Sardinian name Casteddu literally means castle.

Historical sites include the prehistoric Domus de Janas, very damaged by cave activity, a large Carthaginian era necropolis, a Roman era amphitheatre, a Byzantine basilica, three Pisan-era towers and a strong system of fortification that made the town the core of Spanish Habsburg imperial power in the western Mediterranean Sea.

In visita la TV giapponese NHK per girare uno speciale sull'arte e la cultura dell'Europa

L'Istituto per l'Arte e il Restauro è stato lieto di accogliere presso i propri laboratori il famoso attore giapponese Sekiguchi.
L'attore e la sua troupe televisiva hanno scelto l'Istituto per registrare una puntata del suo programma Railway Journey in Europe legato all'arte e alla cultura dell'Europa che andrà in onda a luglio 2016. L'incontro è stato molto piacevole e ha permesso ai nostri docenti ed alievi di spiegare le diverse tecniche di restauro di dipinti e di materiale lapideo all'attore che si è dimostrato molto curioso ed ha sfruttato l'occasione per poter fare qualche piccola attività pratica.

AUTUNNO GIAPPONESE : IL FOLIAGE

Uno dei periodi più belli a parer mio di visitare il Giappone, è sicuramente l autunno, verso la seconda metà di novembre. I colori si accendono di giallo, rosso, arancione. In questo video vi mostro uno dei tanti luoghi ad Hiroshima, dove poter vedere i bellissimi colori dell autunno.
