Vence, Provence, France, complete tour

travel videos & photos at: with text, maps & links.
We're going to take you on a walking tour through the medieval town of Vence in the South of France. This small picturesque village with its pedestrian zone makes a very worthwhile day-trip. It's an easy, one-hour bus ride from Nice to get up to Vence. You cannot get lost when you're inside the old town of Vence because it's so small but you might get a little confused by these twisting footpaths. Just keep in mind there is one primary route and several plazas, but the village is only 300 meters wide, so just feel free to wander. Walk along the main lane and deviate down the little side alleys, come on back to the main lane and walk in both directions, it's interesting whether you are coming or going. Vence is one of those rare medieval towns in France that still has its wall all the way around it.
As usual in a small Provencal village, the main attractions are the pedestrian lanes lined with historic old buildings harboring shops, cafes and restaurants. Little plazas and fountains liven up this space, and the central church, Provence’s smallest cathedral, is a medieval delight.
When you exit the old town through the stone gateway and then turn and looked back, you find that the wall has been converted into homes. This circle of housing reinforces the wall that goes all the way around the old town.

TRAVEL: South of France

About two months ago, my friends and I took a week-long road trip to a couple of cities in South of France. Within that week, we managed to visit Aubenas, Toulon, Le Castellet, Marseille, Cassis, and Saint Paul de Vence. The whole experience was beyond amazing and definitely unforgettable, but if I had to pick a favourite then it would be Saint Paul de Vence. We didn't actually plan to go there but because I stupidly forgot my passport at our accommodation on the day we were heading to Italy, so Saint Paul de Vence was a plan B and it was a very good one. You know that saying, sometimes the best things in life are the 'unplanned'! :)

I thank my friend's grandparents' outstanding hospitality and kindness, they treated us so, so nicely! I just couldn't be thankful enough! And of course, I would like to thank Audrey for taking us along on this trip! There is no doubt that I will be going back to France in the future to explore different cities, food, and culture! I just cannot get enough of it :P

How Traditional French Camembert Is Made | Regional Eats

Sweet and creamy, Camembert holds a special place in the heart of cheese lovers. The iconic cheese originated in the northern French region of Normandy, where it has been made for centuries. Today, France makes 360 million wheels of Camembert each year. We visited Le 5 Frères, a family-run farm in the village of Bermonville that makes Camembert following the traditional recipe using raw milk and ladles it into molds by hand.

Places to see in ( Montpellier - France ) Pic St Loup

Pic Saint-Loup is a mountain in Languedoc-Roussillon, southern France, located near the communes of Cazevieille and Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers in the Hérault department. The Pic Saint-Loup is a mountain in the region Occitan situated on the edge of towns to Valflaunès and Cazevieille , in the department of Herault .

Located about 20 km north of Montpellier , the peak is visible from a large part of the department of Hérault , the coast and the Gard , hence its profile evokes a point rushing to the sky. It forms, with the mountain of Hortus which faces it to the north, a protected natural site and shelters a certain number of birds of prey. From the top of its sharp ridge, the peak Saint-Loup stands against the elements. A large iron cross is erected, an observation post and the chapel of an old hermitage .

4KREPO The Devil's Bridges of France, Les ponts du diable en France - on foot and with drone, Part 1

A bet is made with the devil to build a bridge. The devil promises to build the bridge in a given time, usually one night, and is supposed to receive the soul of the client or the soul of the client's son or daughter in return. Through a trick, however, the client manages to cheat the devil out of his profit. The devil goes his way annoyed and the client is happy about a well-built bridge.
