In any country that you travel to, there are always some Do’s and Don’ts, well here is some Don’ts that I want to share.

This was one country on my bucket list, and I have always wanted to see Petra and the Valley of the Moon, (Wadi Rum).

Jordan opened their borders and I decided it was time to visit another Middle Eastern country with my girls, apart from UAE, where I live. This time it was different and I felt different. Jordan is a very peaceful place with friendly people however when I traveled here for the first time, I can tell you that I wasn't that open-minded, so I had my prejudice. But I was wrong! This country I snow so close to my heart and will always be.

That's why I want to make more of these vlogs to show you how the world really is while still focusing on capturing the beauty these places offer.

Ancient City of Petra Jordan - Historical Tour - A Journey Through Time

We are excited to take you on a journey through time to discover the ancient city of Petra. Founded more than two thousand years ago, the city offers some of the most breathtaking monuments found anywhere on Earth. Located in present-day Jordan, Petra was originally the capital of an ancient kingdom; the city was founded by the Nabataeans, a nomadic people credited with carving many of Petra’s iconic monuments from solid rock.

One of Petra’s most famous landmarks is the Treasury, which stands 39 meters tall and was carved into the sandstone mountain face two centuries before the birth of Christ. From the Treasury, you can also see Petra’s massive amphitheater, which was carved directly into the mountain. Spanning three levels, the theater could have held 8,000 spectators during its heyday.

Jordan is an Arab kingdom in Western Asia, on the East Bank of the Jordan River, and extending into the historic region of Palestine. Jordan is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south and east, Iraq to the north-east, Syria to the north, Israel and the Palestine to the west.

After the post-World War I division of West Asia by Britain and France, the Emirate of Transjordan was officially recognized by the Council of the League of Nations in 1922. In 1946, Jordan became an independent sovereign state officially known as the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan. After capturing the West Bank during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, Abdullah I took the title King of Jordan and Palestine. The name of the state was changed to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on 1 December 1948.

Although Jordan is a constitutional monarchy, the king holds wide executive and legislative powers. Jordan is classified as a country of high human development by the 2014 Human Development Report, and an emerging market with the third freest economy in West Asia and North Africa (32nd freest worldwide). Jordan has an upper middle income economy. Jordan has enjoyed advanced status with the European Union since December 2010, and it is a member of the Euro-Mediterranean free trade area. It is also a founding member of the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Walking the ancient Kishon, where Deborah defeated Sisera

The ancient Kishon river is where Deborah and Barak defeated Sisera, the captain of the Canaanite army. According to the Biblical account, Sisera’s 900 chariots of iron were swept away by the rushing torrent of the river. This river is believed to be today’s Nahal Tavor (Tabor Stream) which starts in Nazareth and spills into the Jordan River. So join us on this expedition, as we journey alongside the ancient river, explore the ruins, and search for the waterfall.
